Event Update For 2013-07-31

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-07-31 - Underground electrical explosion takes out power to part of coastal Southport (Australia), on the Gold Coast:
http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2013/07/31/455590_gold-coast-news.html

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and will tend to accumulate in low-lying areas like underground facilities and parking garages, basements, ponds, lakes, streams, rivers, valleys, canyons, ditches, etc. It is also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper. As a consequence, underground electrical fires and explosions are on the rise...

2013-07-31 - Massive wildfire threatens homes in northern Lebanon, Lebanon asks for help:
http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2013/Aug-01/225859-lebanon-seeks-help-as-massive-fire-threatens-homes-in-north.ashx

Quote: "Cyprus agreed to send Lebanon a helicopter to assist the Army in putting out the fire, which engulfed evergreen forests on the outskirts of the villages of Sfira and Btormaz in Dinnieh and destroyed the country’s biggest pine forest in a matter of hours."

Note: This area is on and near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Late last year, Israeli researchers found underwater 'gas springs' bubbling in the sea near there, as mentioned in the 2012-11-12 update. That's very probably methane, possibly some hydrogen sulfide too (since the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide also eat methane). Also relevant, in late spring of 2012, a 'mysterious smell' hit central Israel and sickened people, as mentioned in the 2012-05-03 update. Methane is odorless, so it wasn't methane...

2013-07-31 - Twelve cars destroyed by fire at boat and car yard in coastal Rockingham (Australia), $1 million in damages:

Quote: "A witness has told the ABC that several cars and some boats appeared to be extensively damaged."

2013-07-31 - Mysterious explosion goes off near Fedex truck in coastal San Francisco (California):
http://www.ktvu.com/news/news/disasters/explosion-fedex-truck-results-traffic-shut-down-so/nY9Py/
http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/220859-fedex-truck-explosion-in-san-francisco-police-investigating/

Quote: "When officers arrived, however, they could not find any sign that an explosion had occurred..."

Quote: "Michael McKinney, a security guard who works on that block of Tehama Street, said there was a similar incident on Monday involving a report of an explosion with no damage. He said he heard a loud bang that day, and wondered if someone had thrown some sort of explosive object from a window."

Note: They mention the possibility of fireworks, but then say they found nothing. Fireworks would leave a trace. So multiple mysterious explosions this week, right on the coast, no sign of damage. Sounds like gas plumes detonating, but the plumes were small enough not to cause any damage in these two incidents. Just imagine if one of these explosions happens right next to your head though. That might kill you...

2013-07-31 - Underground electrical fire hits Morristown (New Jersey), explosion mentioned:

Quote: "Smoke from Morristown Manhole Caused by Broken Wire. Authorities initially investigated a report of an underground explosion."

Note: What broke the wire? A fire or explosion maybe?

2013-07-31 - Pallet board mill heavily damaged by fire in Remer (Minnesota):
http://knsiradio.com/news/local/cause-mill-fire-unknown/

Note: Remer is almost exactly between Big Sand Lake (to the west) and Birch Lake (to the east), each about 1 mile away. Another lumber-related fire, and again, pallets mentioned. All flammable absorbent materials are absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane and spontaneously combusting, including wood, cardboard, paper, straw, hay, clothing and cloth, dried brush and grass, dead plants and trees, rubber, etc. But pallets have another problem too: they're held together with iron/steel nails, screws and/or staples, and hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, no other heat or fire source necessary. A little sizzling and popping, a spark lands on a dried wood piece of pallet (contaminated or not) and you may get a small fire, which can grow large very quickly...

2013-07-31 - Ecological reserve hit by blaze along the Rio de la Plata in coastal Buenos Aires (Argentina):

http://www.kimt.com/2013/07/31/fire-rages-across-buenos-aires-ecological-reserve/

Quote: "The Ecological Reserve covers more than a square mile (300 hectares) bordering the Rio de la Plata."

Quote: "The reserve is considered the 'lung' of Buenos Aires, and its vegetation is home to lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, bats, voles and weasels."

2013-07-31 - Oregon cracking down on pallet fires, because of the rusty nails and staples left behind:
http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/index.ssf/2013/07/oregon_parks_and_recreation_pu.html

Quote: "Pallets are held together with nails or staples, which are often left on the beach after the wood burns."

Note: And not only can the rusty leftovers injure people, hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, so any rusty nails and staples will cause a lot more fires along the beaches. So this is one of those dual-purpose things, with one reason out in the open and the other unmentioned. Like the gas injections in subways in NYC and London. The upfront reason: to understand how poison gas might flow if terrorists use bioweapons. The unmentioned reason: hydrogen sulfide, being a heavier-than-air gas, is going to infiltrate subways and it'd be nice to understand the subway system's vulnerabilities, maybe even try to address them...

    blame it on the phantom firebugs again cuz well, trees don't just spontaneously combust ;-}
