Event Update For 2013-07-06

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-07-06 - Freight train derails, bursts into flame, explodes, in Lac Mégantic, Quebec (Canada), at least 5 killed:

http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/least+three+dead+M%C3%A9gantic+train+derailment+explosion/8625646/story.html
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2013/07/06/quebec-train-derailment-fire.html

Quote: "Fires raged well into Saturday afternoon in Quebec after a train carrying petroleum products derailed and decimated a small town, causing damage to over 30 buildings and forcing residents out of their homes. The Globe and Mail reports over 1,000 people were evacuated after the crash.  NBC News reports police have set up a half-mile perimeter around the site where several tankers went off the tracks and crashed in Lac Mégantic, Quebec, around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The Montreal, Maine & Atlantic freight train travelling to Maine crashed in the small border town, and the ensuing explosions destroyed huge portions of downtown."

Quote: "'We do fear that there will be fatalities and from now we're trying to locate the people that are still missing,' he told BBC World. Some of the train's cargo spilled into the nearby Chaudiere river, said Environment Quebec spokesman Christian Blanchette, adding that communities downstream of Lac-Megantic had been warned to take care if using river water."

Quote: "Chairman Edward Burkhardt said an engineer parked the train west of Lac-Mégantic before he went to a local hotel for the night. While other details remain unclear, the train rolled away later that night and derailed in the centre of the town. 'He had parked the train, so far as we can determine, properly,' Burkhardt said, adding that the brakes were properly applied."

Note: A thousand people evacuated, at least 5 killed, many people missing and feared dead in the inferno, 30 buildings destroyed, town utterly devastated. As you can tell from the name, this town is right on a lake, which has the same name as the town. Some reports say the train was parked and took off on its own, gathering speed until it hit town, unmanned, then derailed, burst into flame and several fuel tanker cars exploded. If that is so then that would not be the first time that an umanned vehicle has taken off on its own. There are two possible reasons for this: 1) hydrogen sulfide is being absorbed into brake pads and tires and frying brakes; and 2) hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper like wiring in vehicles.

Thus I highly suspect that small fires are sometimes breaking out around wiring in vehicles, frying off the insulation, then wires touch and the vehicle basically 'hot-wires' itself. The most notable example of this so far was in May, when a boat burst into flame, started itself, then took off across Coffs Harbor in Australia, smashing into other vessels, as mentioned in the 2013-05-03 update. Could be that this Canadian tragedy was the same scenario, except it was a train instead of a boat this time. Just think about that: trains starting themselves while hauling dangerous and/or flammable chemicals and turning into high-speed mobile bombs. Holy sh#t! Fortunately, I don't think this will be very common, as the fire has to start in just the right place and the right wires have to be near each other and make contact. Still, it looks like this will be a problem from time to time, and sometimes the consequences will be devastating...

2013-07-06 - Underground electrical fire erupts at high-rise in Union City (New Jersey), building evacuated:
http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/2013/07/some_residents_at_doric_still_without_power_since_yesterday_evening_pseg_say.html

Note: Just like all the other underground electrical fires and explosions that have been breaking out, especially in the last few months. Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper. It is also a heavier-than-air gas which will tend to accumulate in low-lying areas, like underground electrical facilities, basements, bodies of water, valleys, canyons, ditches, ravines, etc.

Note: This is the ship that cracked in half in June and briefly caught fire then, as mentioned in the 2013-06-18 update. It's being towed to coastal Mumbai (India) now, so Indian Coast Guard went out to work on putting out this fire. There are no people aboard since it cracked in half, so no lives are at risk in this fire...

http://www.channel3000.com/news/3-cars-parked-blocks-away-burned-in-edgerton/-/1648/20863160/-/ygd756z/-/index.html

Quote: "A Rock County 911 Communications Center supervisor said the first report came in at 4:45 a.m. for a vehicle on fire at 115 Swift St. The second report came in 6 minutes later for a car on fire at Bumper to Bumper on Main Street. The third call was also at a business, Orens Auto Body at 101 Swift St. at 5:02 a.m."

Note: Edgerton is right next to Lake Koshkonong. All three fires occurred during the wee hours, when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane floating in the air above closer to the ground. This is what you'd expect to see as a flammable gas plume blows through an area, igniting here and there as it goes...

Quote: "What could have started it when no one has lived there for at least 12 years?"

Note: Hydrogen sulfide could have started it, that's what. I'd bet there's some rusty iron in that house somewhere, like nails or pipes or rusted-out appliances, something like that. Some hydrogen sulfide meets some rusty iron/steel, some sparking and sizzling ensues, and whoosh, you have a fire...
