Event Update For 2018-08-31

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2018-08-31 - Man relates event where strong smell hit his hotel room and killed his wife and sickened him, in coastal Marsa Alam (Egypt)

Quote: "A grieving husband says that his wife's death in Egypt has similarities to that of a couple there less than a fortnight ago. All three victims, on Thomas Cook holidays, were believed to be healthy and fell ill after a strong smell in their hotel rooms. Clive Eversfield, of Ramsgate, said in today's Mail Online: 'It is not a one-off. Three people, who their relatives believed were fit and healthy, have died. There are several common denominators – something is clearly wrong.'"

Quote: "All three deaths were treated as natural causes by the Egyptian authorities. Both Hurghada and Marsa Alam are on the western Red Sea coast but 180 miles apart."

Note: This man came forward with the story about his wife's death after hearing about that healthy and fit couple that just dropped dead, with a 'funny smell' mentioned, at a seaside resort in coastal Hurghada (Egypt), mentioned in the 2018-08-25 update. Strange smells, seaside areas, healthy people mysteriously dropping dead...

2018-08-31 - As the Arctic warms and the tundra melts, lakes bubbling up carbon dioxide and methane:

Quote: "NASA has released videos of bubbling lakes in the remote Arctic tundra, where warming continues to release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at unprecedented rates. The international research team, funded by NASA as part of their Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE), recently published their results in Nature Communications. What they found are bubbling lakes as greenhouse gases are released from the previously frozen ground, leading to increased greenhouse gas emissions and a warming positive feedback."

Quote: "Large releases of carbon are not decades or centuries away, they are rapidly happening today and with it, changing the landscape of the Arctic."

Note: That's not just a feedback, that's an end-of-the-world feedback. More CO2 and methane are emitted, which causes more warming, which melts more tundra and permafrost, which releases more CO2 and methane, and so on and so on. In the Great Dying, the CO2 levels were about 1000 PPM. Because of the vast amounts of ancient carbon and methane stored in the permafrost, this feedback all by itself will get us to that level, which means mostly everything will die on this planet, just as happened before, and it won't take decades or centuries. This is also just one of the many feedbacks in play now. Even if every human being blew their brains out today, and every power plant was shut down, and every car was left rotting unused in a field, this one feedback all by itself would now still get the planet to Great Dying levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. We are thus irrelevant and before long we will also be nonexistent...

Lao Tzu's four cardinal virtues on how to live a more meaningful life

The four cardinal virtues, or rules for living life, can provide a framework for a life filled with inner peace and purpose.

    1. Reverence for all Life

When we live with reverence for all life, we surrender our need to control and to dominate.

    2. Natural Sincerity

This virtue is honesty, simplicity, and faithfulness

    3. Gentleness

Often interpreted as weakness, gentleness is sensitivity, respect, and reverence for all life.

When we give up being right and being superior, we start accepting ourselves and others

    4. Supportiveness

Supportiveness is about service. Open hearted service for the sake of helping others and benefiting others, with no thought to our own gain. [more]
