Event Update For 2018-08-26

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

    Briefly revisiting geoengineering

I have been checking on Dr.Naomi Wolf again

I have no doubt that geoengineering is going on, now as well as in the past.

What I object to is when it is used to deflect from the very real ongoing catastrophe.

However, the taboo on mentioning it in some quarters verges on a type of political correctness. [more]

  5. Heh, Sweden as 'hellhole'. They have 0.017 rapes per 1,000 people. In the US we have 3.1 rapes per 1,000 people, or a little more than 182 TIMES as many rapes PER CAPITA as Sweden does. So if they're a hellhole then we're 182 times as bad of a hellhole. We could only wish we had crime rates like they do. If things get a hundred times worse there, it'd still be safer there than it is here.

  6. Or, to look at it from the murder angle - just the City of St. Louis alone (not the counties, just the city proper) has more than three times as many murders per year as the entire country of Sweden, with less than 3 percent of the population. Sweden has 92 murders per year on average. St. Louis City alone usually tops that by the end of April. I'm 100 times more likely to be killed by an American citizen than a resident of Sweden is to be killed by an immigrant. So where's the real hellhole? Right outside my front door.

  7. So today and yesterday there was an 'excessive heat warning'. The temps were, as reported, around 95-96F with heat indexes over 108F. That's not that weird. What's weird is that we had similar temps throughout the summer without any warnings, but the heat these last two days did feel significantly more oppressive than the other hot days this summer where the temp was the same but where no excessive heat warning was issued. Why would that be? The only reasons I can think of is that they were lying about the temps this time and it was actually hotter than reported, or maybe UV levels made it worse this time. I dunno, but it WAS worse, for whatever reason.

  8. It WAS humid, but it's always humid here. I guess, lacking any other explanation, that one will have to do though. Whatever it was, it's gone now - big lightning storm rolling through now with a cold front. Was taking the trash out this morning and saw some lightning flashing and ran inside. B-bawk!

  9. Hey - that shit's no joke! Gotta take cover.
