Event Update For 2013-04-01

Full Hypothesis

Summary of Hypothesis

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Predictions

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Prediction C - More Multiples Of People Dead In Homes

2013-04-01 - Woman, 36, and girl, 10, die on boat on Lake Windermere (Britain):
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/apr/01/windermere-deaths-carbon-monoxide-lakes

Quote: "Emergency services were called to a jetty on the eastern shore at around 4pm on Monday following reports that a number of people on a private boat were suffering from serious breathing difficulties. The woman and child went into cardiac arrest and were treated at the scene before being airlifted to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where they later died."

Quote: "Police were unable to confirm reports that the deaths were the result of carbon monoxide."

Note: Carbon monoxide is lighter than air (which is why carbon monoxide detectors are placed on ceilings), and is highly unlikely to affect people on a boat, unless they go inside the boat and shut all their windows and doors and light a barbecue grill or something. Hydrogen sulfide causes all of those same symptoms, but is a heavier-than-air gas, and will tend to accumulate in low-lying areas like lakes...

  1. CO poisoning is more straightforward to determine during an autopsy so it will be interesting to hear the results. If it was not CO then just by the process of elimination what else would it be other than H2S? Couldn't it also be Methane if the boat was suddenly enveloped in a rising plume? If the victims were inside the boat with the engine running then there would have to have been a CO leak into the living quarters but I agree with you in that I don't see how it could have happened if they were all outside even if the atmospheric conditions were foggy & dense enough to hold the CO longer. They're weren't too many details for the readers to go on in that article.

"2013-04-01 - Woman, 36, and girl, 10, die on boat on Lake Windermere (Britain):
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/apr/01/windermere-deaths-carbon-monoxide-lakes

Hydrogen sulfide causes all of those same symptoms, but is a heavier-than-air gas, and will tend to accumulate in low-lying areas like lakes..."

    1. There could be a way for CO to poison them too, and it'd be related. Incomplete burning produces carbon monoxide, so all of these fires and atmospheric explosions are creating at least some carbon monoxide.

There was a story where a bunch of carbon monoxide alarms went off in a bunch of peoples' homes at the same time. When responders showed up and measured the carbon monoxide levels, they found higher amounts OUTSIDE the homes than they did inside, meaning that a cloud of carbon monoxide hit that neighborhood. That was in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania), mentioned in the 2012-10-31 update. That was blamed on a 'temperature inversion'.

So I guess if enough carbon monoxide accumulates in the atmosphere, we might just start seeing this area or that area getting smothered by it. As if we didn't have enough problems!
