Event Update For 2013-09-19

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2013-09-19 - Six fire trucks and fire station destroyed by fire and explosions in the Town of Gordon (Wisconsin):
Quote: "The first report said the fire and explosions were the result of lighting from a storm front that had moved into the area, but Chief Chmielecki said the fire started right before the storm had arrived."
Quote: "George Booth, Town of Gordon constable, said the building is a total loss as are at least six trucks inside, including pumpers and tankers, a snowmobile and other emergency vehicles."
Quote: "'Basically we lost everything in the fire hall,' said the chief. 'We had six trucks – two engines, two tenders, and two brush trucks.'"
Note: The storm may have been pushing methane and hydrogen sulfide ahead of it. Kinda like Burnicane Sandy; right as the arms of the storm started hitting, fires and explosions started breaking out all along the East Coast north of the eye. Gordon is also less than a mile east (downwind) of the St. Croix Flowage...

2013-09-19 - Explosions and raging fire destroy chemical plant and vehicles in Thomas (Oklahoma):

Quote: "The fire appears to have destroyed the facility and at least a dozen vehicles at the plant."

Quote: "Buck Jones, chief of the Thomas Police Department, said no employees were working at the site at the time but about a dozen residents were evacuated from the area."

Quote: "A chemical plant explosion in the Town of Thomas prompts evacuations and sends fireballs hundreds of feet into the air."

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Likewise, chemical plants of all types will burn and/or explode, including biofuels plants, fertilizer plants, specialty chemical plants, petroleum-related facilities and more."

2013-09-19 - Cellphone sizzles and burns in man's pocket in Woodburn (Oregon):

Note: Any electrified copper in that cellphone? Rhetorical question. I wonder where his jacket was before this event. If it absorbed a little hydrogen sulfide while sitting on a floor or hanging near a window, an exploding cellphone might be the result. Not really that different from the underground electrical fires and explosions or the Boeing Dreamliner fires or the parked vehicles going up in flames, just a smaller-scale event...

2013-09-19 - Floor stripper bursts into flame, home destroyed, in Northern Boone County (Missouri), 1 injured:

Quote: "Unfortunately, a spark came from somewhere. We’re not sure where that spark came from."

Note: Like I just explained in the 2013-09-15 update, the 'ghostly match' will tend to ignite at the worst possible time, and it doesn't matter what precautions one takes. You'll never see it coming until it ignites, and then it's too late. I even mentioned flooring vapors specifically. Here's a quote from that update: "The same problem with the 'ghostly match' will hit people siphoning gas, people making cannabis extract with butane, people making meth with flammable vapors, people applying flooring chemicals which are flammable, gas stoves if there's even the slightest leak, etc."

Note: The problem with storage facilities is that if even ONE unit contains some rusty iron/steel or electrified copper (including vehicles of all kinds), then EVERY unit at the facility may end up going up in flames...

2013-09-19 - Major fire devastates five businesses before 1:30 AM, in the Old Port area of coastal Portland (Maine):

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and will tend to accumulate in low-lying areas, like underground electrical facilities, sewers, basements, ditches, ravines, canyons, valleys, ponds, lakes, streams, creeks, rivers, quays, seas, etc. It is also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, and electrical panels are frquently located in basements. Rust is more apt to be present in damp basements too, and hydrogen sulfide is also reactive with rusty iron/steel...

Pinehurst police received a call at 6:21 a.m. today and arrived to find Robert Lee Bullard V deceased on top of his Jeep Wrangler, said Pinehurst Deputy Chief Floyd Thomas. Thomas said there were no signs of foul play."

Note: He may have been blinded by hydrogen sulfide and was trying to crawl away from what was killing him, then ended up on his roof. That's probably what I'd try too, since it is a heavier-than-air gas. But it's so lethal that your odds of surviving are dismal at best if an invisible cloud of any concentration blows over you. Even if you drive around with a Hazmat suit, you'd probably die before you could even get to it, much less put it on...
