Event Update For 2016-05-13

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2016-05-13 - Massive tire fire breaks out at 1 AM in Seseña (Spain), toxic smoke blankets area, 9000 people evacuated:

Quote: "Spain's leading El Pais newspaper reported that the dump holds 110,000 tons of used tyres."

Quote: "'Everything points to the fact that this disaster was deliberate,' said Sesena Mayor Carlos Velazquez to Spanish radio. He pointed out that the area had been rained on for several days, making an accidental ignition doubtful."

Note: They think it was deliberate but only because they can't figure out how it could start otherwise. I too was puzzled at first by the various tire fires, and there have been quite a few really huge tire fires, though this may be the biggest one so far. Eventually I figured it out - the problem is steel-belted radials. The steel wires inside steel-belted radials, once exposed to the air, like in heavily used tires like the ones that end up in dumps like this - the wires get rusty, and the rust reacts with any hydrogen sulfide that blows by, which causes sparking and fires, no other ignition source necessary. And since there's flammable tire rubber right next to the rusty steel wires, you get a tire fire. So we'll keep seeing tire fires like this one and the others before it. The tire fires are basically the same kind of fires as the piles of scrap metal that have been bursting into flame, but with lots of extra tire rubber...

2016-05-13 - Huge pallet fire breaks out, 3000 pallets burn, nearby homes scorched, on Enfield Road in Huncoat (Britain):

Quote: "Two dozen people were evacuated from their homes as a result of the fire, involving 3,000 wooden pallets, which could be ‘seen for miles’."

Quote: "Windows and guttering of some houses in Alder Grove, where residents were evacuated, melted from the heat, according to a fire crew manager."

Note: The pallet fires are very similar to the tire fires. Instead of steel wires, it's the nails and screws and staples with which pallets are built and instead of flammable rubber near the rusty iron/steel, it's flammable wood. So just as there have been numerous huge tire fires in recent years, so too have there been numerous pallet fires, some so big they were visible from space...

  1. Tire fires are awfully toxic with all that particulate matter and noxious gases being emitted. I noticed in some of the story comments that the fire people or witnesses say that the fires are unusually hot. Is this due to H2S or CH4 being an accelerant?

NASA temperature data shows last month was hottest April on record

Return of the heat wave to India

    [I didn't know it LEFT]

At 45.7°C, Sriganganagar in Rajasthan was the hottest city in the country on Friday. This was followed by Phalodi at 45.5°C, Nagpur 45.1°C, Ramagundam 45.2 and Delhi 44.5°C.

After good spell of pre-Monsoon showers, all the weather systems have clear away the region. In wake of this, hot and dry northwesterly winds have been blowing over these parts of the country. This has led to steep increase in the maximum temperatures.

No respite is likely from the scorching heat for next few days and mercury will continue to soar, though marginally.

Radiation spike near Hanford nuclear waste site ‘natural’ – EPA

[yeah, as in radiation NATURALLY degrades the metal in the cheap containers it's being held in . . .]

The US Environmental Protection Agency chalked elevated gamma radiation levels around America’s largest nuclear waste storage facility, the Hanford site, up to natural causes, but RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky has found a few inconsistences in its claims.

The Hanford nuclear site, on the other hand, holds some 56 million gallons of radioactive waste stored in underground tanks that were built between the 1940s and 1970s. Those who used to work at the facility have told RT that vapor incidents are common when radioactive waste is being transported between tanks, which happens often, as the tanks are wearing out.

  2. Heh, waddiya know, Jonny - people are startin'-a notice all the animal attacks (finally).

Attacks by carnivores are on the rise in North America and Europe: Are humans to blame?

Attacks by large carnivores on humans have been on the rise throughout the western world. Bears, cougars, wolves and coyotes have increasingly been involved in deadly maulings and injuries, with the number of attacks nearly doubling since 1994. However, a new study out in Nature shows that it's actually humans who are often putting themselves in harm's way.

With humans encroaching into wildlife areas, and wildlife adapting to urban areas, the likelihood of having to share our spaces with large carnivores has increased.

The main risk factor humans engage in, which easily beat out all others, were children being left unattended by their parents.

Pack of stray dogs kill 10-yr-old child in Baheri, India; death toll reaches 9 in 18 months

‘Lord of the Rings’ Mount Doom volcano might be about to erupt, experts say

May 2016 – NEW ZEALAND – There are more signs of life at the volcano,” volcanologist Brad Scott from GNS Science told National Geographic. “Recent visits to the volcano have confirmed an increase in the output of volcanic gas.” On top of the gas, a swarm of tremors were recorded on the mountain in April, and the crater’s lake has been steadily rising in temperature since last month, increasing from 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) to 46 degrees Celsius (115 degrees Fahrenheit). That doesn’t mean the volcano is definitely about to erupt – the crater lake goes through a lot of these natural heating and cooling cycles. Since 2010, eight of these cycles have been recorded, and none of them have been associated with eruptions (three Level 2 alerts were issued during that time).

The last time it went off was in 2007, with only one injury being reported from the incident – a hiker in the area got his leg trapped under a rock.
    [yeah, running away!]
