Event Update For 2016-05-10

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2016-05-10 - Six fascinating tales of kids who remember past lives:

  1. Heh, jumped in the garden early to beat the heat, lost all track-a time, started gettin' dizzy, here I am takin' a break an' it's almost noon! Dang! Time flew by. And it's really nice out!

My computer is a total piece of crap that randomly works correctly. Yesterday was okay until it wasn't, got all kinds of glitchy on me an' today it won't let me link to anything and long scripts keep running in the background.

I gotta debug the sucker - i'll use my phone for stories.

Your report today has a bunch of boats of various sizes burning up, while later we see the continuing die-off of Pacific marine life (likewise worldwide, as you've also shown). Scribbler has a piece today on ocean death and a(to him, potential) Canfield event. When the ocean goes, the rest of life on the planet won't be far behind (and it will be just as gruesome). Land life may precede it, too, what with all the CH4 and H2S wafting ashore and up into the circulating air currents (combined with all the "natural" disasters and other problems compounding our predicament). . .

  2. Okay, I'm back.

Lightning bolt kills 3 in Rajshahi, Bangladesh

Lightning bolt kills 2 students in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Thousands of tuna crabs found in Imperial Beach, California

Hungry road: Huge sinkhole swallows car in London

Elephant kills woman taking photographs on Java, Indonesia

Lightning bolt kills three youngsters in Umarkhed, India

5.6 magnitude earthquake strikes northeast Taiwan

Chile's fishing-rich waters hit by unprecedented 'red tide' crisis

  3. Lightning strikes kill four in Andhra Pradesh, India

Update: Lightning strikes kill 33 across Bangladesh in a day

Mount Sourabaya erupts - first time in 60 years

    Earth's magnetic field is changing

More severe turbulence: 8 passengers injured on JetBlue flight from Puerto Rico to Orlando

  4. Whew, 33 dead from lightning in ONE DAY in Bangladesh! I don't think anyone tracks such stats, but I wonder what the record is for the most people to be zapped dead by lightning in one day in one country. I'd think that'd have to be up in the rankings right there, if anyone did track such things.

I remember last year, a storm was heading my way, and I was thinking about trying to get some time-lapse photos with lightning. But then I took a really good look at that storm, and it was just bristling with lighting, bolts flaring horizontally, striking the ground, going everywhere. I'd never seen a storm like that before, or since either, and I decided that discretion was the better part of valor with that storm, and I went to the basement. I'm taking lightning a lot more seriously as a threat than I ever used to!

  5. Yeah, jes gets better ever' day, don' it?
