Event Update For 2015-12-10

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. G'day Jonny (goin' all Aussie on ye): grite repawt ta-die!

    [alright, that's enough o' that]

On your one story about the vacant Marine Corps League building - you made a wee typo (or copied it without seeing) and it says Marine CORPSE League (how gruesome would THAT be to visit? Freudian slip?)

So, my town finally made the list with a back to back garbage truck fire and a house fire!
Not only that, but out in CA where i'll be in a few weeks they had > 40' waves that put a 160' pier that i've walked on (takes ya out over the ocean for fishing and observing) out of commission indefinitely. (they also are part of the radiation spike now hitting the west coast, but my wife forbids me to even mention it)

  2. Haha, I think I must have 'corpse' in my muscle-memory now when I'm typing. Thanks! I's gonna fix that now.

  3. Your humor makes it hard to tell sometimes; you're always entertaining Jonny (in addition to all the other great qualities you display).

Here's a bunch of good stuff from seemorerocks today [check out the article on the CA methane spew, that you posted above, and compare it to the worst in the world (in an article just below it: Texas Frack Zone is World's Biggest Methane Emitter) which is WORSE THAN an open pipe belching at least 50,000 kg of it PER HOUR. Now add them up and include it in the total from all over the place! Nyaaah-aaaah!]

[more on the next page too, with a video and text from Paul Beckwith who was in Paris for the talks (still thinks there's a way out despite the great researcher he is), a radio ecoshock podcast and Guy McPherson tellin' it like it is, just like you, Jonny (and why i'm a regular here)]

I can’t think of anyone better to deliver the message of how things really are than Guy McPherson

An American climate scientist says humans will go extinct soon because of global warming and there is no way global community can turn this around.

  6. Here's a trick for those super-long URLs: often whatever is after the first ? isn't necessary. Like for that long URL above, this works:

That's not ALWAYS the case, but often it is. I always try those long URLs after deleting the ? and everything after it, just to see, and if the shortened version works, great, and if not, oh well. Not a big deal either way, just a trick I thought you might want to know.

  7. Thanks for the tip, Jonny. i had a feeling the "junk" was just to track it back to where it was copied or some such.

  8. No problem! Yeah, it's tracker-ish stuff, mostly.
