The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Recreational vehicles have a number of vulnerabilities to the atmospheric hydrogen sulfide and methane problem: 1) hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, and RVs have far more wiring than standard vehicles; 2) hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel and RVs have more surface area exposed to the elements, especially on the underside; 3) many RVs use propane-powered appliances with pilot lights, which can serve as an ignition source; 4) hydrogen sulfide is being absorbed into tire rubber and brake pads and causing fires due to excessive brake-friction heat (since hydrogen sulfide burns very hot) and this problem affects massive vehicles like RVs more than smaller/lighter vehicles. As a consequence, there are many RVs burning up. There are more cars burning up, true, but that is simply because there are more cars, period. Note: There's that popping sound again, heard before a great many fires this past year or so. That's likely hydrogen sulfide and/or methane finding an ignition source (electrified copper like battery cables, rusty iron/steel, heat) and igniting, causing a small explosion then fire. When the explosions are larger then they sound like gunfire or fireworks and may be mistaken for either. When they're REALLY large then they shake homes for miles around; those mysterious 'boom sounds' - often accompanied by a 'flash of light' - that have been occurring all around the world the last couple of years...
