Event Update For 2013-05-15

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-05-15 - Passenger plane skids off runway into the Kaligandaki River (Nepal), 21 injured (4 critically):
Quote: "One of the wheels of the plane had problem while landing. The plane skidded off the runway and fell into the Kaligandaki River flowing alongside..."
Note: From the full hypothesis: "As planes land, they will more frequently blow tires, or their landing gear will collapse, or they will run off runways." A plane just ran off the runway in McMinnville (Oregon) too, as mentioned in the 2013-05-13 update.
Hydrogen sulfide is being absorbed by tire rubber. Then when brakes are applied, the brake-friction generates more heat than normal, since hydrogen sulfide burns very hot. Then bad things can happen: tires explode or ignite, brakes burn out or ignite, fluid lines rupture, the entire vehicle goes up in flames, or all of the above. With planes what usually happens is one or more tires blow or the brakes burn out. When the tires blow, if it's a small plane, then the strut digs into the ground and the landing gear collapses. When the brakes burn out then you get planes running off the runway. This usually happens after landing - as in this case - because that's when planes generally hit their brakes hardest...

  1. I wasn't planning on buying a gun but with all of these damn Pit Bulls going nuts I'm very tempted to pack some heat! And I have to admit that it would come in handy just in case my neighbor went Zombie on me & tried to eat my face off!

    1. I completely understand the sentiment. But I'm skipping guns myself. The main reason is: what if *I* go crazy? I can't be sure I won't. I don't want to become too terrible a danger to society myself, and I have incredible aim, learned that in the Army. Me, insane, and armed with guns - that'd be bad news for people around me. I don't want to be too defenseless though, for the reasons you mentioned, so I do have a good bow. I'm gonna count on that, keep my head down, and simply try to stay unnoticed as much as possible - out of sight, out of mind!

    2. You are one hell of a unique individual Jonny Mnemonic!!

Maybe that is the real reason the govt wants to take away our guns. They don't want to have to deal with a bunch of insane zombies shooting up the joint & maybe igniting random plumes while they do it! Dealing with a zombie is bad enough in itself but one with a gun would obviously be infinitely worse!

I keep on wanting this situation not to be real but everyday with your reports you keep on proving it to be extremely real. I see that Minnesota is getting hit harder. My Uncle has a cabin there (& lives there as do other relatives. I was born there) so I told him about this site but he basically brushed me off like I was an alarmist.

    3. I keep on wanting this situation to not be real too! I can think of way kinder dooms - economic doom, running out of oil doom, civil war doom. Hell, full scale nuclear war doom might even be better than this!

And I think this IS the reason the gubment wants to take away guns. In normal times, guns, not that big of a deal. But now, with insanity rising, guns are obviously a problem. And I know people will say, 'Don't take away MY guns, cuz I'm not crazy!' And that's But it might not be true tomorrow. Of course, the gubment can't tell people the real reason without blowing the lid off what's actually happening. Quite a conundrum there.

Me, I've got little control over anything here. But I do have some control over myself, and while I may not be able to prevent myself from going crazy, I can at least make sure I won't take out 50 people with guns if I do. I'm pretty good with the bow, but the damage I could do to others with that is fairly limited. It's hopefully enough for defensive purposes, but not good for much beyond that.

    4. As far as survival goes, in many cases, a bow is a much more better weapon to have. If there ever is another apocalyptic situation we all may be back to using bows & arrows (& spears etc.) after the ammo runs out. Also, the use of a bow & arrow is silent & won't draw attention like a gun-shot would & you can (in many cases) reuse the arrows or make your own which would be much more easier than making bullets.
A bow & arrow need little maintaining while a gun needs to be keep clean, dry, oiled etc.. And like you say, with the gases increasing in atmosphere, it is not wise to use a gun because the shooter may very well become a victim!

  2. I guess we all don't want this to be real, but even if it wasn't there'd be soo much alternative doom around us... Fuku5h1ma anybody...?'s the

Update for Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Yesterday the results from the Loeffler Institute came in. They say the carps died of OLD AGE! Well...I've said this like two weeks ago here in the comments. These fish, born in Asia, were put in that lake (and others too) in the 1980s. They cannot procreate in Germany (water too cold) so it's a no-brainer, that they eventually die off. The odd thing about this... ALL of them died in the same year. While all of the carps had been BORN in the same year, I don't really believe it is common for them to all DIE in the same year too.
Another thing about that story: The carps haven't been the only species in that lake - yet they're the only ones that died en masse. A commentator (Carphunter1972) on the t-online website stated, that carps are botton-feeders. They're mostly close to the ground, where the organic waste from surrounding fields accumulates, brought there by the rain. Now, that is a far more plausible cause, than the official one. Of course, it could also be, that an abnormal amount of H2S has been released into the lake somehow from underground... I guess we'll never know for sure. I'll keep my eyes on that and similar stories, though.

    1. Well, you were right about the old carp! It is odd that they all died in the same year though, as you said. That'd be like a bunch of people born in the same year all dying in the same year.

I see you capitalized 'FURT'. I know 'bad' is bath, since you taught me that, but what's 'furt'? And just in case I ever end up in Germany, how do you say, 'thank you' and 'where's the bathroom'? (Heh, I always start a new language with those two phrases.)

    2. A 'Furt' is a ford where you can cross a river easily. Many German cities have that in their name. (Frankfurt, Schweinfurt, Erfurt, Klagenfurt, etc.)

If you'll ever be in Germany, you say 'Danke!' for 'Thank you!' (The 'e' at the end is pronounced like in 'Porsche')
When you need to go to the bathroom you can ask: 'Wo ist das Badezimmer?' or 'Wo ist die Toilette'. German has a lot of similarities to English and in fact, they're both in the same language tree:

Give me a heads up if you come here. Would be great to meet you! ^̮^

    3. You're welcome! (or in German: Gern geschehen!)
