Event Update For 2013-05-02

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2013-05-02 - Massive wildfire breaks out between Camarillo and Newbury Park (California), near the coast, grows to 10,000 acres:
Quote: "Firefighters on the scene radioed that Naval Base Ventura County, which is backed up to the Pacific Ocean, should be advised that flames had leapt the iconic coastal highway that was the only barrier beween the fire and the facility."
Quote: "Hazmat teams are trying to contain a massive California wildfire that is threatening 2,000 homes. Locals are being warned not to inhale the smoke - especially since highly toxic pesticides have caught fire and are releasing dangerous chemical fumes. And while smoke inhalation is never healthy, the fumes of this wildfire are particularly dangerous: fire officials on Thursday warned that a store of highly toxic pesticides caught fire at an agricultural property in Laguna Farms, near the university campus."
Note: I did mention there'd be more coastal fires. This fire burned right to the ocean, and it's huge, devastating, fierce. Is this fire as destructive as the inferno that destroyed an entire community near coastal Myrtle Beach in March? (Mentioned in the 2013-03-16 update.) Not yet, but this fire's still got legs...

2013-05-02 - Transport ship bursts into flame, 12 cars aboard destroyed too, while berthed at Hansa Hafen, Hamburg (Germany):

Quote: "Fire broke out on board of container / ro-ro vessel Atlantic Cartier, berthed in Hansa Hafen, Hamburg, at night May 1 13. Fire spread to car deck with some 70 cars already loaded for transportation to USA."

Note: Second link shows some info about the ship itself, named 'Atlantic Cartier'. Latter two links are in German...

Note: So, 800 feet from a canal there...

2013-05-02 - Lawnmower bursts into flame inside barn in Rushcreek (Ohio), fire spreads, destroys barn:

Quote: "Rushcreek was assisted by firefighters from Perry Township, Bokescreek and Tri-Valley fire departments."

Note: Sounds like there are lotsa creeks and valleys around there. This area is also about 5 miles due east of Indian Lake. All those areas - creeks, lakes, valleys, gorges, ravines, ditches, quays, etc - are low-lying areas (relative to their surroundings) where a heavier-than-air gas like hydrogen sulfide will accumulate when the wind isn't blowing it onward and from where any gas that has accumulated will blow when the wind picks up. Thus, buildings and vehicles on the downwind side of low-lying areas like that are more apt to burn and/or explode, and people downwind of such areas are more likely to suffer brain damage, other organ damage, or death from hydrogen sulfide poisoning...

Note: And sawdust silos burst into flame at two different furniture companies in Vermont recently too, plus an explosion hit a wood pellet biomass plant. Sawdust - and wood generally - is an absorbent material and all such materials are absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane and spontaneously combusting. Such materials include wood, paper, cardboard, mulch, straw, hay, clothing, cotton, wool, dried brush and grass, generic trash, pallets, furniture, etc.

Note: People tried to help, did pull him out of the burning car, but he was too burned and died. I did mention in the full hypothesis that as the number of vehicles bursting into flame continues to increase, there will be a corresponding increase in the number of people burning to death in them. I was hoping that most people would be stricken unconscious or dead by hydrogen sulfide BEFORE the fires consume them - more merciful that way - but this man was clearly conscious as he died, so obviously it won't always be a merciful death...

2013-05-02 - Highway fatalities rise more than 5% year-over-year in 2012, first increase in 7 years:

Note: That's a pretty good-sized increase there for one year. That probably has something to do with people losing consciousness, having seizures or flat-out-dying as they drive, since unconscious, incapacitated and dead people do tend to make terrible drivers...
