Event Update For 2017-06-03

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  2. Whoops, thanks for spotting that missing 'e' - I will fix that!

Yeah, my mom died when I was 12, drunk driving, almost took me with her. It was incredible that I survived that accident. If you'd seen the mangled car, you would've thought that nobody could survive that crash, but I crawled out of the wreckage with just some bruises. My dad divorced my mom when I was 5, and he was out of the picture from then on, though I did see him two or three times in the next 30 or 40 years. I didn't even know he'd died until he'd already been dead for 10 years. So my grandmother raised me from 12-16, then the juvenile court and a foster home took care of me until I turned 17 (excellent foster parents, both highly educated, my foster dad a university professor who taught biology), and then it was into the Army.

Mystery surrounds chunk of ice that landed in Cape Coral, Florida neighborhood

Some Cape Coral residents have a mystery on their hands after a big chunk of ice crash landed in their neighborhood.

It happened late Thursday at the corner of NE 23rd Terrace and 14th Place.

All that's left there now is a dent in the ground where the ice landed. Neighbors are glad no one was hurt but are curious about where the chunk came from.

It was Tiffany Laymance's husband who saw the whole thing happen while he was walking his dog. He says he heard something cut through the air and hit the ground.

"He comes running in the house and tells me that I need to grab my phone and jump in the truck," Tiffany said.

They took a quick drive through the neighborhood to investigate the crash landing, finding a big chunk of ice lying in a crater in the ground. [more]

So far in 2017, in the Moyhu NCEP/NCAR index, January to March were very warm, but April was a lot cooler. May recovered a little, rising from 0.34 to 0.4°C, on the 1994-2013 anomaly base. 7. According to the news, apparently the power outage here was caused by a lightning strike. And the reason it looked dark all around me is because I was right in the very center of the affected area, which also included the St. Louis Zoo, one of the major zoos in the country. I'm glad the power was only out for six hours. I remember an outage in 2011 when the power was out for four days, and it was a blistering 105 degrees during that time. I stayed to make sure looters didn't drop by, but I had to sleep on the concrete floor in the basement because that was the only place remotely cool enough.
