The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Traumatic Thursday Jonny, everyone. I see we're being gaslighted by the powers that be and especially the lamestream media regarding the Capitol shenanigans, the Covid situation and almost everything else.

Recognising there's no universal umbrella term for these various causes, Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsey of the New Discourses project coined the term "Critical Social Justice", which could indeed become useful terminology if it enters the public lexicon.

Advocates like Helen can helpfully help the woke Left wake up to their double standards before it's too late. After all, if we don't protect the freedom of speech of those we disagree with, it'll only be a matter of time before our own thoughts and words are considered unfashionable, too. "The man was mauled by a cougar and suffered major injuries to his face and hand," the Conservation Officer Service wrote on Facebook. "He was taken to (a) hospital via ambulance and is reportedly in stable condition."

In an update posted Tuesday afternoon on Facebook, the service said the cougar was "a young, emaciated male and the attack was predatory in nature."

"CO's believe the offending cougar was the one put down yesterday and the public is not at risk. The public is urged to be prepared in case of any wildlife encounters," the Conservation Officer Service reported. [more; better than starving]

On Tuesday, Facebook suspended Robert A.J. Gagnon, a prominent Christian scholar on the topic of Bible sexuality, for 7 days. His crime? Speaking out against transgender ideology and President Joe Biden's new transgender military policy. Facebook claimed that Gagnon's criticism of this government-imposed ideology violated the platform's "Community Standards on violence and incitement."

Ironically, Gagnon's post drew attention to Facebook's suspension of his friend, Laurie Higgins, who got a 7-day ban for criticizing Biden's policy.

"There was absolutely no incitement to violence on our part. We abhor violence done to any person," Gagnon told PJ Media on Tuesday. "This is just a thinly veiled and pathetic excuse for censorship of any critical views toward trans-tyranny over our consciences, religion, and reason."

"Only one point of view is being allowed," he added, ominously. "Trump was not the great danger to the Republic. Left-wing canceling is."

Biden's pro-transgender policies will open women's restrooms and changing rooms to biological males, destroys fair play in women's sports by allowing males to compete, and sends the dangerous message that an amorphous gender identity matters more than biological sex.

Scientists have known for decades that individual shark species are declining, but a new study drawing on 57 global datasets underscores just how dramatically worldwide populations have collapsed in the past half century.

Globally, the abundance of oceanic sharks and rays dropped more than 70% between 1970 and 2018, according to a study published Wednesday in the journal Nature.

And 24 of the 31 species of sharks and rays are threatened with extinction, while three species — oceanic whitetip sharks, scalloped hammerhead sharks and great hammerhead sharks — are considered critically endangered. [more]

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee confirmed a tornado touched ground near the Tallahassee International Airport late Wednesday morning.

The storm caused power outages and road closures. The city of Tallahassee was reporting Wednesday afternoon as many as 4,800 utility customers without power across the city.

“Sadly, we can confirm two fatalities from a vehicle crash on I-10 and one individual who was transported to the hospital with injuries,” Dailey wrote. “This accident appears to be weather related but it is not clear that it was caused by the potential tornado.”

The Florida Highway Patrol reported the fatalities at about 11:45 a.m., just as severe weather was sweeping through the area. [more]

Maazallahi, 30, is part of MEMO2, a seven-country, public-private research project that’s training scientists to find methane leaks in fossil fuel production and municipal infrastructure across Europe.

Dr Bharat Narumanchi held hostages in a five-hour siege before killing Dr Katherine Lindley Dodson.

Narumanchi had applied for a volunteer position at the clinic a week ago and was declined.

He later came back carrying a pistol, a shotgun and two duffel bags.
