Event Update For 2017-12-12

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2017-12-12 - Unknown 'gas odor' hits Los Altos (California):

Quote: "The alarming odor of gas left some residents scrunching their noses in downtown Los Altos last week. The Santa Clara County Fire Department – joined by PG&E – responded to reports of the smell after receiving multiple calls beginning at approximately 8:32 a.m., according to department spokeswoman Luisa Rapport. 'Both County Fire and PG&E monitored the area for an hour and a half and never got any reading on their monitors,' she said of their failure to detect a gas leak."

Quote: "After 90 minutes, the smell dissipated and firefighters and PG&E cleared the scene. The cause remains unknown."

  1. Kinda embarrassing when the Fire Chief's COMMAND CAR goes up in flames while he's routinely driving. There will be no follow-up explanation. Similarly, the police station erupting in flames due to a duct fire will not be investigated (or the results will be kept from the public).

Apartments continue to burn (as well as single homes and other structures), and on this day we see a tv set and an air conditioner also flaming out.

The usual litany of vehicle accidents (with collateral damage) from passed out or dead drivers continues, and the number of people simply dying on the spot grows daily. As usual, there's never any explanation by authorities. "Natural causes" includes H2S poisoning now, I guess.

Bad moon rising: The neocons are back

The US is not a democracy and it never was

if this record is soberly and methodically inspected, is that a country founded on elite, colonial rule based on the power of wealth-a plutocratic colonial oligarchy, in short-has succeeded not only in buying the label of "democracy" to market itself to the masses, but in having its citizenry, and many others, so socially and psychologically invested in its nationalist origin myth that they refuse to hear lucid and well-documented arguments to the contrary.

Moreover, it is estimated that over half of the colonists who came to North America from Europe during the colonial period were poor indentured servants, and women were generally trapped in roles of domestic servitude. Rather than the land of the free and equal, then, European colonial expansion to the Americas imposed a land of the colonizer and the colonized, the master and the slave, the rich and the poor, the free and the un-free. The former constituted, moreover, an infinitesimally small minority of the population, whereas the overwhelming majority, meaning "the people," was subjected to death, slavery, servitude, and unremitting socio-economic oppression. The human attrition rate under Globalization exceeds the attrition rate of a normal human life. For a variety of reasons: job insecurity income insecurity, retirement insecurity, and a lack of social safety net. The end result being that people are burning out much faster than they used to...

Aging societies get dumber by the minute - The scope of fantasy necessarily expands as the endgame approaches. Now apparently it takes a Nobel Prize winner to figure out that the status quo is "not working". The problem isn't that American capitalism doesn't work for ALL Americans it's that it only works for .01% of Americans. [more]

  4. Tom I keep meaning to say that I appreciate all the links and info you share everyday. Even though most of it depresses the hell out of me! Lol...

  5. Hey, ME THREE! Waddiya think, I LIKE this shit?! It's THE WORST!
There's no reason to thank me - it's Jonny's blog that deserves all the credit. i'm just like you, Mike - a commenter (with probably too much to say, in my case) who's just helpin' out.

Most people don't even WANT to know - "let me keep living this dream life" without consequences. It would have been nice if the system was designed to support life, but unfortunately the way humans live off of the planet has reached a point where it's actually triggered the destruction of the biosphere, and it's completely out of our hands now.

Hambone is back to disparaging Guy again (this, after going to see him and chatting for an hour or so). I don't get it. The man reads stories of our impending doom but, almost like Scribbler, just can't believe we could go out in the next bunch of years - by 2026 at the latest, according to McPherson. Like all the other critics, he attacks Guy with personal stuff (ad hominem), but can't argue with the message or logic of Guy's conclusions (all based on established scientific papers).

FBI agents' texts imply insider scheme to thwart Trump presidency prior to Russia probe

Text message exchanges between a former FBI agent and lawyer from 2016 suggest an insider scheme against then-candidate Donald Trump ahead of the alleged Trump-Russia collusion probe, which they both worked on.

The committee also questioned Rosenstein about the FBI's role in the creation of the now-infamous Trump dossier.

"Did the FBI pay for the dossier?" Representative Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) asked Rosenstein. The Deputy Attorney General replied that he was "not in a position to answer that question." [more]

    1. Yes i agree that Jonny gets top credit and kudos! Regarding Hambone....Actually in this case Guy is out of line in that he called Hambone a lying scoundrel publicly on NBL. I don't think GM was justified calling him that in my opinion. Otherwise as long as GM doesn't mention Hambone then Hambone won't mention Guy.

Note to Jonny: This is my 3rd attempt to post this reply. I don't think the other 2 made it to you. But if they did then just post this one. Or the one you prefer. I've been having trouble with the net today. I don't know if it's my connection...or if it's a wider net problem.

Pedestrian and bus driver severely mauled by Tibetan Mastiff in eastern China

A woman was saved by a heroic bus driver while being attacked by a Tibetan Mastiff in the middle of a road in east China.

CCTV footage captured the moment the driver fended off the dangerous dog with a fire extinguisher.

The woman and the driver have been taken to hospital by onlookers, and the dog is still at large. [see video]

[if YOU got hit full force with a fire extinguisher, think you'd still be standing? These dogs are TOUGH; holy SHIT!]

'I didn't do much, I just grab it and hit onto the dog. It went away and came back to bite me,' he told The Paper.

The Mastiff pounced onto Mr Lu and pressed him onto the floor.
A few onlookers joined forces to help fend off the dog.

Nearly 1,000 dogs have been abandoned in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as a growing number of stray Mastiffs had reportedly attacked people and stolen the livestock in the area, causing serious concerns among local residents. [more; hey, you people could have had them as pets but having given them up, you're now part of their meal plan - good luck!]

  7. Corruption of Science: Coca-Cola's Shady Record in Obesity Research - 'Dracula in Charge of the Blood Bank'

It was revealed back in 2015 that Coca Cola invested at least $4 million in founding the 'Global Energy Balance Network' (GEBN), a non-profit organization run by university scientists engaged in obesity research projects.

The group said that halting weight gain should be less about dieting and more about "maintaining an active lifestyle and eating more calories". They claimed that there was no compelling evidence to suggest that people should blame fast food and sugary drinks for the obesity epidemic. GEBN's message was that "obesity is not about the foods or beverages you're consuming, it's that you're not balancing those foods with exercise". Their main claim was that there was "strong evidence" that lack of exercise is mostly to blame for obesity, not poor diet. GEBN's website and social media pages are no longer available after their industry-sponsorship came to public awareness. [more]

Loud boom rattles homes after meteorite hits Thunder Bay, Ontario

The Geminid meteor shower was pretty awesome. And in a rural part of Canada it almost turned out dangerous as a large meteor exploded in the sky over Thunder Bay, Ontario rattling homes. One of the pieces ejected hit the ground. The impact crater – 1 meter wide with a pile of “rock-like-substance” in the centre – has been found. But the freshly fallen meteorite has disappeared. The loud boom could be indicative of a larger object that broke up, meaning there could be other fragments in the area. [more]

Despite the nomenclature, shorting volatility is of course an inherently long RISK position. It's an overwhelming endorsement in the continuation of Ponzi status quo. A bet on the never-ending greater fool to follow. Bernie Madoff believed the exact same thing when he was arrested during this same week in 2008. Just like today's gamblers, Madoff's investors never once questioned how returns could be so high and volatility could be so low. [more]
