Event Update For 2015-06-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2015-06-14 - In separate incidents, sharks attack and injure two teens, each one loses an arm, at Oak Island (North Carolina):

Quote: "Two teenagers were seriously injured in two separate shark attacks in the same North Carolina town on Sunday, terrifying beach goers and prompting one shocked witness to compare the scene to the movie 'Jaws.'"

Quote: "Brunswick County Dispatchers said that they received the first call at 4:12 p.m., and agencies including Oak Island Police and the Air Link Helicopter went to the scene. The second shark attack was reported at 5:30 p.m."

Quote: "A 12-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy each lost an arm Sunday in separate shark attacks at the same North Carolina beach."

Quote: "'He looked like he was waving at his friends,' Randy Milligan said of the unidentified 16-year-old boy who was attacked. 'Then the shark just came out of the water and like you snap your fingers -- bit his whole arm off.' Milligan told ABC News that the shark was large and was able to fit the majority of the boy's left arm in one bite."

Note: That's some serious Jaws action there! I wonder if their normal prey is dying off. There have been many fish kills reported in North Carolina. There was also a mysterious huge explosion off the coast of North Carolina in March, followed by a massive number of dead fish washing ashore, mentioned in the 2015-03-18 update. That was likely a methane and/or hydrogen sulfide bubble breaching the surface and exploding, and either the explosion or suffocation killed those fish, or both. Last August scientists reported discovering at least 570 new seeps venting methane along the East Coast from North Carolina to Massachusetts, mentioned in the 2014-08-24 update. So if sharks lose their normal prey, they might just start snacking on whatever is handy and easy to kill, like people. From the full hypothesis: "Predators will attempt to adapt to the changes in the biosphere and may turn to our pets or to us as an alternate source of nutrition."

2015-06-14 - Home explodes and burns, destroyed, in Florissant (Missouri), 2 injured:

2015-06-14 - Home and two vehicles destroyed by explosion in the Town of Washington (Wisconsin), 1 injured:

Quote: "Strauch, who was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital with injuries, had reported earlier a strong smell of gas in the house. He shut off the supply to the home and opened doors to disperse the gas."

Note: Propane is odorless so they add mercaptan to it, which smells like 'rotten eggs', but so does hydrogen sulfide, at least in low concentrations. So he smelled 'rotten egg' odor and then his house exploded. What were the methane and hydrogen sulfide levels in the ground around this house and inside his basement? Ah, nobody is bothering to check, so they will never know for sure what causes any of these explosions. Opening the doors might have let more gas IN too...

  1. Good work Jonny. More and more people dropping dead (hey, and remind me not to vacation anywhere near the Willamette River), homes exploding, electrical fires and malfunctions (see below), accidents, vehicle and industrial fires, wildfires, animal attacks and die-off continues. Meanwhile the climate just continues to degrade our habitat. Not lookin' too good.

Bill’s Extreme Rains Heading Toward Global Warming’s Brown Ocean Over Central US

Brown Oceans can thus form over areas that have received extremely heavy rainfall and are experiencing hot, moist tropical conditions. The result is increased evaporation that mimics features similar to those of a warm sea surface. In such cases, Tropical Cyclones can intensify over land due to the effect of the extra moisture bleed-off. And it is these conditions that atmospheric scientists are warning now predominate over Texas:

“All the things a hurricane likes over the ocean is what we have over land right now,” said Marshall Shepherd, director of atmospheric sciences at the University of Georgia and one of the leads of a NASA-funded Brown Ocean study.

  7. Interesting about the 'brown ocean', and scary too. Hmm, I hope Bill doesn't strengthen all the way into Missouri. Got plenty enough rain without a tropical cyclone roaring through!
