2015-05-04 - Shallow magnitude 5.8+ earthquake shakes Wanaka (New Zealand):

2015-05-05 - NASA shows some pics of the volcanic island that formed late last year near Tonga:

Note: Volcanic activity continues. Not good. The subsurface oceanic volcanic eruptions, like the one that formed that island off Tonga, and the island off Pakistan, and the island near Japan, and the ones that have erupted off the coast of Oregon, are the ones to really worry about, since the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide love heat and lack of oxygen, conditions seen around subsurface volcanoes and crustal fractures. And of course all that extra heat will melt the methane clathrates in the area, and the H2S-producing microbes eat methane for food. This is the ancient extinction event that has once again reared its head...

The US state has certified two Freightliner Inspiration trucks to mix with regular traffic on public roads."

Note: Good idea. Humans are the weakest link, since it takes soooo little hydrogen sulfide to disable or kill a human being. So, turn trucks into robots or drones and we might just be able to survive at least a little longer...

2015-05-07 - Scientist accuses leading climate scientists of offering false hope:

Note: No way, really?! Hah, just kidding, he's right. He doesn't even realize how bad things are either, nor is it likely that he can even begin to imagine how bad things are going to get...

2015-05-07 - Spiders ingest carbon nanotubes and graphene flakes and spin superstrong silk:

2015-05-08 - Antarctica experiencing a net loss of about 92 billion tons of ice per year:

Note: Bad news there. All that mass heading toward the oceans and the thin crust at the bottom of the oceans will cause more quakes and volcanic eruptions, especially in the oceans and in coastal areas. And that will cause more methane and hydrogen sulfide to spew from the oceans, which will cause more fires and explosions, and more animals and people will drop dead. And so on and so on, until we're gone. It's probably best not to count too much on living as long as ten more years. One whiff of invisible hydrogen sulfide blowing by and you could be dead today...

2015-05-08 - Volcano Karangetang erupts violently, some homes flattened, in North Sulawesi (Indonesia), evacuations ensue:

Quote: "Impact of the active volcano’s eruption has flattened several houses in Kora village in the region, BNPB Spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, adding that in the afternoon the volcano was still erupting lava, rocks and hot materials as far as several kilometers from the crater of the volcano."

2015-05-08 - Volcano Turrialba erupts, blows ash a mile high, in Costa Rica:

2015-05-08 - Magnitude 4.3 earthquake shakes coastal Gujarat (India):

Note: MISA Theory keeps on chugging. The more ice that melts on this planet, the more volcanism that occurs. The more volcanism that occurs, the faster we end up extinct. And it's all speeding up, feedbacks reinforcing other feedbacks. It's unstoppable. Maybe it always was. In any case, we can either work on Plan B or we can keep doing whatever it is we're currently doing until we individually each burn to death or fall over dead or whatever. Seeing as people aren't waking up and facing the problem, it seems like people would actually prefer to die than they would prefer to deal with reality. The Earth is totally fine with us committing suicide by inaction...

The offending odor that was believed to have sickened the postal workers was described as a sweet-smell, similar to that of being in a pancake house."

Note: Some people say that hydrogen sulfide has a sweet, flowery or sickeningly sweet odor at medium-high concentrations. This not being a sewer facility or an oil facility, they likely did not check for the presence of hydrogen sulfide. I've smelled hydrogen sulfide at high enough concentrations for it to smell sweet twice, once while a man was pumping a porta-potty into an open sewer manhole and once in the wee hours while walking down the street. The day after that second event, the Edward Jones Dome was evacuated due to a noxious odor that originated from OUTSIDE, mentioned in the 2014-04-11 update. If you smell a sweet or sickeningly sweet or flowery smell and there's no discernible reason for it then you may be getting gassed...

Quote: "He says they originally thought the gas was anhydrous ammonia, or ammonia of some kind, but the workers said that their gas masks should have protected them from that."

Note: That sounds very much like hydrogen sulfide. The only thing that protects from hydrogen sulfide are HazMat suits that maintain positive air pressure inside the suit and are connected to a known safe air supply or which have their own air canisters. Standard gas masks of any type do not protect from hydrogen sulfide. You need 'big boy' real-deal HazMat suits for hydrogen sulfide...

Quote: "The report says both the officer and paramedics found he was cold, appeared pale and "in rigor" and did not attempt to resuscitate him. He was pronounced dead and his family was notified. The report says that as his body was about to be removed, he began moving his limbs."

Note: Wish they had more info, like his height and weight. Seen a number of children 'die' and 'come back to life' and some animals too. Scientists discovered that hydrogen sulfide can put rodents into 'suspended animation', where their heartbeat drops to almost nothing and their body temp drops to room temp, so they look dead, but they aren't. They tried it with pigs and it didn't work. My working theory is that it's the SIZE of the mammal - rodents are small, pigs are large. And the children this has happened to are closer to the size of rodents than they are to pigs. It looks like this may affect adults too, but it must be rare - mostly hydrogen sulfide just kills you and you don't get back up again. So I wonder whether this was a small man, and it'd be nice to be able to follow what happens to him going forward, but that isn't going to happen.

There was one man found 'dead' STANDING UP in a stream, leaning on a stick, at Manie Mulder Adventure Centre in Roodepoort (South Africa), mentioned in the 2015-01-03 update. I highly doubt he was actually dead, else his knees would have buckled the second that he died. So he may have just LOOKED dead, like this guy in Milwaukee, and then got buried alive, maybe to wake up later screaming inside a coffin. That's probably happened to numerous children by now...
