Event Update For 2015-05-01

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. HA-HAA the gallows humor is thick with this one!

The realtor in Michigan had me spewing coffee and choking with laughter - that's just great Jonny!

The comparison of the fire department to a guy on crutches was fitting too.

i read the article about the guy blowing his arms off and the news is blaming it on the guy trying to make fireworks (yeah, right, when you can buy 'em cheap down south). i would have at least said "meth lab" which is much more prevalent. So he's in critical condition, and if he survives, will be arrested. Swell.

Another amazing assortment of calamitous situations indicating the uptick in the on-going collapse of industrial civilization.

This article really shook me up this morning:

Central Valley’s growing concern: Crops raised with oil field water

The use of treated oil field water to raise Central Valley crops raises questions about food chain safety

Oil giant Chevron recycles 21 million gallons of that water each day and sells it to farmers who use it on about 45,000 acres of crops, about 10% of Kern County’s farmland.

    [eat your vegetables]

  2. Takin' a break from gardening (planting rhodies, marigolds, four or five other annuals and perenials . . right . . they might all be annuals now . . )

Coyote carries off dog in Randolph, New Jersey

    [Yorkies weight between 5 & 8 lbs.]

A vicious coyote attacked a pet dog and dragged it into the forest in a New Jersey town - the latest in a string of incidents which have seen the wolf-like animals encroach on towns and cities.

The beast grabbed the beloved pet, a Yorkshire terrier, in the backyard of his owner's home in the township of Randolph, around an hour west of New York City.

Authorities said this can even lead to attacks on humans, though those are rare.

New cold climate to devastate global agriculture within a decade

The SSRC believes as long as the Sun continues its solar hibernation (a once every 206 year cold climate event) that we are on the precipice of a long term drop in global temperatures. It is entirely possible that the decades-long period of record global agricultural output that our world has enjoyed will soon be over, perhaps for many decades.

  3. If we get terrible cold, I'd be looking a lot harder at all the volcanoes erupting as the cause than I would anything else. 'Eighteen-Hundred-And-Froze-To-Death', 1816, 'The Year Without A Summer' - that happened because of the eruption of Mount Tambora, not because of any solar cycle. How many volcanoes are erupting nowadays? A lot of them, all over the planet! No super-mongo eruptions yet, but many volcanoes erupting can be far worse than any one.
