The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Note: Seen some weird corpses before, slumped against a wall or fence or tree, and a young woman who slumped over dead while reaching for her purse in her car from outside the car, that sort of thing, but this is the first corpse I've seen just standing in water. Also, are they SURE he's dead? Hydrogen sulfide can put some mammals into 'suspended animation', and that's mysteriously happened to a number of children over the last 3 years around the world. Even trained medical professionals thought they were dead, but they weren't.
So maybe this man just looked dead, heartbeat almost nonexistent, body temp at 50 degrees, APPARENTLY dead but unconscious and paralyzed. That would explain why his muscles didn't relax and he didn't immediately collapse when he died and thus why he was still standing there: he didn't die, he just LOOKED dead. So now they'll bury him, and maybe he'll wake up inside a coffin and die screaming from suffocation. Or maybe he'll die during the 'suspended animation' period and never wake up. It's been children that have 'come back from the dead', not adults. Most of the children have died shortly after waking up from being 'dead' too.
