Event Update For 2014-08-06

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2014-08-06 - Five fire trucks and fire station destroyed by fire after 11 PM in South Hopkins, Madisonville (Kentucky):

http://www.whas11.com/news/Fire-destroys-Madisonville-fire-department-270389231.html

Quote: "Fire crews are called to help their own as a massive fire destroys the South Hopkins Fire Department. The fire started just after eleven Wednesday night, going up quickly, and leaving firefighters helpless. There was no saving the building located in the southern part of Hopkins County, right along Highway 41A. There were five trucks inside the station, including two tankers, an engine truck, a quick response vehicle and a brush truck."

Note: The last fire station to be destroyed by fire was waaaaay back in...the day prior, when fire trucks and a fire station were destroyed by fire at 5 AM in Mount Eden (Kentucky), mentioned in the 2014-08-05 update, so that's two fire stations and all their trucks destroyed by fire within 2 days, both in Kentucky. I mentioned that fire stations need to have someone on guard duty 24 hours per day, else they will keep being destroyed by fires when nobody is around. I'm pretty sure people are gonna wake up to this problem as their homes ignite, they call 911, and nobody shows up because all the fire stations and trucks have been destroyed. It might be wiser to wake up BEFORE we get to that point...

http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?news/215013422/Brand+op+brandstoftanker+Tilburg+door+kortsluiting,+eigenaar+blust+vuur.aspx

Quote: "Due to a short circuit in a transformer a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Fueltrans 4" on Aug 6, 2014, at 4.30 a.m. on the Wilhelmina Canal at Tilburg near to the industrial park Vossenberg. The fire rescue attended with several engines."

Note: So this was just like all the transformer fires, utility pole fires, underground electrical fires, cars bursting into flame in the middle of the night while parked, etc. Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with electrified copper and such fires will look exactly like 'short circuits', and in fact these fires may CAUSE short circuits, which can cause vehicles to start themselves, and that has happened quite a few times now...

http://www.kgw.com/story/local/2014/08/06/12390206/

Quote: "n ODOTtruck arriving to help at the scene of a crash on I-205 early Wednesday suddenly erupted in flames, causing a major traffic backup during the morning commute. The Oregon Department of Transportation vehicle was parked in a southbound lane at the Park Place exit when the fire started. The driver had just gotten out of the incident response truck and was walking toward the police officer on scene when they noticed the fire. The spectacular flames brought all southbound traffic to a halt for about two hours..."

Note: So there was a crash of some kind and they sent out an ODOT truck which burst into flame while parked at the crash site. At some point the crashes and fires will occur faster than the vehicles can be cleared off the highways and at that point it will be nonstop gridlock and constant destruction. Same for the structure fires: once buildings start igniting faster than firefighters can put them out then it'll be nonstop fires until there are no buildings left...

Quote: "Arson is suspected in a car fire early Wednesday outside a north Abilene apartment complex, according to the Abilene Fire Department."

Note: Why do they suspect arson? Parked vehicle, that's it, and they haven't noticed that parked vehicles are spontaneously igniting all over the planet now, and especially in the wee hours. If I was a clueless idiot who wasn't paying attention to the world around me, I'd probably suspect arson too. To be fair, they're no more idiotic or clueless than fire investigators elsewhere, but that's not exactly saying a lot...

2014-08-06 - Past mass extinctions may have been caused by abrupt release of methane and hydrogen sulfide from the oceans:
https://pangea.stanford.edu/research/Oceans/GES205/methaneGeology.pdf

Quote: "Focusing on the Permian-Triassic boundary, ca. 251 Ma, I explore the possibility that mass extinction can be caused by an extremely fast, explosive release of dissolved methane (and other dissolved gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide) that accumulated in the oceanic water masses prone to stagnation and anoxia (e.g., in silled basins)."

Quote: "Terrestrial extinctions are caused by explosions and conflagrations that follow the the massive release of methane (the air-methane mixture is explosive at methane concentrations between 5% and 15%) and by the eruption-triggered floods."

Quote: "The consequences of a methane-driven oceanic eruption for marine and terrestrial life are likely to be catastrophic. Figuratively speaking, the erupting region 'boils over,' ejecting a large amount of methane and other gases (e.g., CO2, H2S) into the atmosphere, and flooding large areas of land. Whereas pure methane is lighter than air, methane loaded with water droplets is much heavier, and thus spreads over the land, mixing with air in the process (and losing water as rain). The air-methane mixture is explosive at methane concentrations between 5% and 15%; as such mixtures form in different locations near the ground and are ignited by lightning, explosions and conflagrations destroy most of the terrestrial life, and also produce great amounts of smoke and of carbon dioxide. Firestorms carry smoke and dust into the upper atmosphere, where they may remain for several years (Turco et al., 1991); the resulting darkness and global cooling may provide an additional kill mechanism."

Note: Have you noticed a lot of methane escaping from the oceans recently? Have you noticed a lot of fires and explosions recently? Have you seen all the stories about 'boom sounds' with 'flashes of light' in the skies? It does indeed look like it is the release of methane and hydrogen sulfide from the oceans that causes major extinction events, and it is also becoming more obvious with each passing day that THIS IS HAPPENING NOW. I think the author here is focused too much on methane alone, and doesn't see the threat posed by the concurrent hydrogen sulfide emissions - hydrogen sulfide is far more volatile than methane, it will serve as an igniter in the presence of rust or electrified copper, and it is MUCH deadlier in terms of toxicity - but close enough.

It is very likely that the conflagrations and explosions that will result from this extinction event are the primary reasons for the construction of the Deep Underground Military Bases. Living on the surface of the Earth will not be possible so governments are preparing so that at least some people might survive. Those of us on the surface of the Earth will need to weather 1700-degree fires, massive explosions, poisoned air, poisoned water, deadly levels of UV radiation, a completely destabilized climate, and lack of food. Dunno about you, but my bugout bag contains nothing which would allow me to survive such things...

  1. Hey Jonny: i'm havin' trouble posting here with the captcha stuff going wonkie on me after I press "publish." Hope it clears up.

My pit mix died this morning. 11 great years of sleepin' beside me at night, playin' ball, keepin' the evil spirits away - i'm really gonna miss him. I just buried him out back. Don't tell anyone but i'm cryin' while writin' this, like my heart's been ripped out. Let me get my act together and i'll write some more.

    whew

Along the lines of the big chunk of cliff that fell, there was an article a few years back (i'll look for it later) describing how if this one big chunk of land falls (and it's been poised to for decades) into the sea from somewhere off maybe Portugal (or somewhere near there) it would cause an enormous tsunami of the east coast of the U.S.

Another candidate for the weird stuff burnin' pile - a carnival ride! At least it wasn't full of kids at the time. How soon before that happens, eh?

Yer neighbor Dutchsinse is showing how the polar vortex that plagued us all winter is due to return in September. He (I think rightfully) concludes that it really never left!

We're going to witness a lot of "never before seen" events in the coming years as the Earth's ecology collapses (due to our idiocy) on our way out. Already we're seeing sinkholes all over the place, lots of subsidence events, water going toxic, and trees dying all over the world, not to mention all the other events you chronicle each day.

How about 2 fires stations in 2 days?! (Maybe we should start counting THEM!)

I agree that "add-on" fires, like the ODOT truck responding to a car crash, will only become more frequent and involve more vehicles as time goes on. Wait til all the 100s of vehicles travelling through the area are effected the same way! NYAAAAAHH!!

Naked guy story may end up being a delayed death (like yer buddy) in the next few days - would be nice if we could follow this up to see.

Okay. i'm done for now. I gotta go lay down.

    Thanks Jonny.

    1. Sorry you lost your pup friend! I didn't say anything at the time, because it hurt too much, but my cat companion of almost 18 years died on Cinco de Mayo this year.I'd hoped he'd make it to 18, but nope, didn't quite make it. I know how painful it is to lose a longtime friend and companion, and I completely empathize. They're worth the pain, but man, when they go, ouch.

    Hey, look what I found:

Pacific Storm Julio Unleashes Powerful 'Dark Lightning' Flash

Before the Hawaii-bound storm Julio strengthened into a hurricane, a NASA satellite spotted a high-energy flash of "dark lightning" coming from the swirling clouds.

NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope is designed to detect the brightest explosions in the universe — gamma-rays emitted from sources like supermassive black holes or stars that go supernova. But gamma-rays, which are invisible to the naked eye and last only a few thousandths of a second, can also come from sources on Earth.

On Monday (Aug. 4) at 4:19 a.m. EDT (0819 GMT), when Julio was still a fledgling tropical storm hundreds of miles off the coast of Mexico, Fermi witnessed what's known as a terrestrial gamma-ray flash (TGF) above the clouds, according to NASA.

"As far as I know, a TGF from a tropical storm has never been reported before," Michael Briggs, a member of the team in charge of Fermi's Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GMB) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, said in a statement from NASA.

    http://worldduh.com/2014/08/08/cow-farts-cause-barn-to-explode-in-germany/

Flatulence from 90 cows in a German barn sparked a methane gas explosion that damaged the building and left one cow slightly injured with burns, police said Tuesday.

“In the barn for 90 dairy cows, methane built up for unknown reasons and was probably ignited by a static discharge, exploding in a darting flame,” said local police in the central town of Rasdorf in Hesse state.

“Parts of the roof cover were slightly damaged and a cow suffered minor burns,” said police, adding that a fire crew rushed to the scene of Monday’s accident and a gas field crew later measured methane levels.
