The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

I did mention back then that they'd trot that excuse out again as soon as there was snow, and here we are, so I'll have to give them a solid A+ for predictability...

Note: Not looking good! Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas, so it will seep into underground areas and cause fires and explosions. It's also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, and that's causing fires and explosions involving electrified copper, like parked vehicles and porch lights and such igniting. The most devastating underground fire/explosion event so far was when the sewer system exploded and burned at midnight in Kaohsiung on the island of Taiwan, tearing apart entire streets and killing at least 24 people and injuring at least 270 people, mentioned in the 2014-07-31 update...

Alien abduction or accidental awareness?
[begins]
A recent article in the November 11 issue of Scientific American claims that alien abductions might be nothing more than "accidental awareness" caused by psychological damage inflicted upon a patient who awakens too soon while undergoing surgery. This hypothesis is presented by Anne Skomorowsky, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University and Psychosomatic Medicine Specialist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/03/travel/united-flight-passengers-ill/index.html
ReplyDelete(CNN)Passengers aboard a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Denver got sick from a cabin pressure issue that forced a quick landing, according to an airline spokeswoman.
United Airlines Flight 1218 took off at 9:01 a.m., but shortly after it reached 15,000 feet, the pilot took it below 10,000 feet and returned to O'Hare International Airport, according to tracking website FlightAware.com.
Below 10,000 feet is a safe altitude for an unpressurized plane.
"The flight landed safely, and we requested paramedics meet the flight to assist a few customers who reported feeling ill," said United Airlines spokeswoman Karen May.
Seven ambulances met the plane and 175 patients complaining of ear pain or nausea were checked out, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
No passengers or crew were taken to the hospital.
"Maintenance is inspecting the aircraft as we accommodate the customers," May said in the statement.
FAA officials are also investigating the circumstances of the landing.
The plane, a Boeing 737-900, is almost brand new. Records show it was delivered to United in March of last year. [there's a little more]

James Holmes jury candidate released after falling to her knees, crying and pulling out chunks of hair
There was a bizarre scene on Tuesday morning in Arapahoe County Court as the jury selection continues in the Aurora theater shooting trial.
A woman answered her summonses with a child. She said the child is one of two children she babysits.
The woman told the court the child has not been immunized for measles and couldn't go to day care.
She asked to be excused but was rescheduled for another day. That's when she fell to knees, crying and pulling chunks of her hair out.
At that point she was released from jury.
She was one of 66 potential jurors who were released on Tuesday morning.
Tuesday's incident came after two other prospective jurors previously showed up intoxicated. Another one was high and at least one person had to leave in an ambulance violently ill. Despite all the incidents, the jury selection process is moving more quickly than expected and individual questioning should begin next week.
James Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70 more at a movie theater in Aurora in July 2012.

The unemployment numbers that the government provides are misleading:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.gallup.com/opinion/chairman/181469/big-lie-unemployment.aspx
The Big Lie: 5.6% Unemployment
[begins]
Here's something that many Americans -- including some of the smartest and most educated among us -- don't know: The official unemployment rate, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, is extremely misleading.
Right now, we're hearing much celebrating from the media, the White House and Wall Street about how unemployment is "down" to 5.6%. The cheerleading for this number is deafening. The media loves a comeback story, the White House wants to score political points and Wall Street would like you to stay in the market.
None of them will tell you this: If you, a family member or anyone is unemployed and has subsequently given up on finding a job -- if you are so hopelessly out of work that you've stopped looking over the past four weeks -- the Department of Labor doesn't count you as unemployed. That's right. While you are as unemployed as one can possibly be, and tragically may never find work again, you are not counted in the figure we see relentlessly in the news -- currently 5.6%. Right now, as many as 30 million Americans are either out of work or severely underemployed. Trust me, the vast majority of them aren't throwing parties to toast "falling" unemployment.
There's another reason why the official rate is misleading. Say you're an out-of-work engineer or healthcare worker or construction worker or retail manager: If you perform a minimum of one hour of work in a week and are paid at least $20 -- maybe someone pays you to mow their lawn -- you're not officially counted as unemployed in the much-reported 5.6%. Few Americans know this.
Yet another figure of importance that doesn't get much press: those working part time but wanting full-time work. If you have a degree in chemistry or math and are working 10 hours part time because it is all you can find -- in other words, you are severely underemployed -- the government doesn't count you in the 5.6%. Few Americans know this.
There's no other way to say this. The official unemployment rate, which cruelly overlooks the suffering of the long-term and often permanently unemployed as well as the depressingly underemployed, amounts to a Big Lie. [read the rest]
[i've seen similar arguments from the Shadowstats site]
Tom
Heh, I have never taken the unemployment figures seriously. That said, people dying does improve unemployment, since each dead worker needs to be replaced with a living person, and each unemployed person looking for a job who dies is no longer looking for a job. On the other hand, a lot of businesses are getting destroyed by fires and explosions too, and fewer people will drain demand and eventually that will cause deflation. If anyone around even cares about such things by then.
ReplyDeleteMy local area has gone berserk with underground infrastructure work lately.
