Event Update For 2021-05-30

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Torrential Tuesday Jonny, all.

Well here we are on June 1st. The year had been crawling along with unseasonably cool (even COLD) weather over the weekend (here in PA), but now, once again, the sun's been shining and the days are flying by.

Saguaros, which can live for centuries and grow to nearly 80 feet, have erupted in spring blooms that are spreading far beyond the norm. It's almost as if the plants are breaking out in a rash of blooms.

"Saguaros typically bloom in spring. And when they do, the blooms are usually confined to a crown at the very top of the main body or mature arms," the center wrote. "But after an unseasonal bloom last fall, saguaro flowers are now appearing down the length of main stems and arms, and — remarkably — even on small buds." [more]

Volvo Cars reaches milestone with first climate-neutral car plant
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/volvo-cars-reaches-milestone-first-000000204.html

In April, Volvo Cars announced its plans to become a circular company by 2040 which should allow the firm to reduce carbon emissions by 2.5 million tons. Today, the company has made a step that takes it closer to reaching that goal.

The Swedish carmaker announced that its Torslanda site is its first car manufacturing plant to reach fully climate-neutral status. This makes Torslanda the second plant in Volvo’s overall manufacturing network to reach climate-neutral status, after the Skövde engine plant in Sweden in 2018.

According to Volvo Cars, manufacturing sites are counted as climate-neutral “when they registers no net increase in the emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere as a result of the electricity and heating used by the plant.” [more (bullshit); how the hell are internal combustion engines climate neutral? Houston seethes over being frozen out of federal flood funds
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/houston-seethes-over-being-frozen-140149551.html

Houston residents were outraged when a state agency recently announced that Houston wouldn't get a cent of the initial $1 billion in federal funding that was promised to Texas following Harvey to help pay for flood mitigation projects, including drainage improvements and the widening of bayous. The Harris County government was also iced out, though four smaller cities in the county were awarded a total of $90 million.

The awarding of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funding led to a rare show of solidarity by local Democratic and Republican officials, who condemned how the Texas General Land Office, or GLO, picked its winners and losers. Ronquillo called it a “slap in the face” to communities of color who have historically been denied assistance. [more]
