Event Update For 2021-05-10

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Gas Stations Run Dry as Pipeline Races to Recover From Hacking
    https://www.yahoo.com/now/no-end-sight-u-fuel-222356167.html

Gas stations along the U.S. East Coast are beginning to run out of fuel as North America’s biggest petroleum pipeline races to recover from a paralyzing cyberattack that has kept it shut for days.

From Virginia to Florida and Alabama, stations are reporting that they’ve sold out of gasoline as supplies in the region dwindle and panic buying sets in. An estimated 7% of gas stations in Virginia were out of fuel as of late Monday, according to GasBuddy analyst Patrick DeHaan.

    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/do-you-get-the-feeling-that-events-happening-now-are-leading-us-into-an-endless-national-nightmare/

2021 was supposed to be the year that life went back to normal. Obviously that is not happening, and so a lot of prominent voices out there are going to be forced to update their narratives. Global events have really started to accelerate, and so many of the things that the “doom and gloomers” have been warning about are starting to happen right in front of our eyes.

At this point, we are being told it is uncertain whether or not the Colonial Pipeline will be able to restore operations by this weekend…

the crazy inflation that we are witnessing right is not going to go away.

How many times have we heard about “the death of the dollar” and the dangers of wildly inflating our currency?

Well, it turns out that the “doom and gloomers” were dead on accurate. Inflation is one of the biggest stories of 2021 so far, and we just got another confirmation of how bad things are getting out there [home prices]

But at least home prices are not rising as fast as the price of cotton is.

If you can believe it, the price of cotton is up more than 50 percent over the past year.

Of course the price of corn is rising even more rapidly.

lumber still has everyone else beat.

we are becoming more like the Weimar Republic with each passing day.

But if you think that things are really bad now, just wait, because you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Everywhere you look, systems are failing, society is crumbling and evil is growing. Even the Secret Service, who are supposed to be the best of the best, are now plagued by endless scandals and widespread incompetence.

This is not a drill. A widespread societal collapse is now underway, and it is going to get progressively worse. [more]

A Florida fisherman’s efforts came to an abrupt end when he almost became the catch of the day.

Footage posted on YouTube shows 22-year-old Tommy Lee fishing for tarpon in the Everglades on Saturday when an alligator emerges from the water.

“Oh, Jesus Christ,” he says as the gator approaches.

Then, to make matters worse, Lee fell while fleeing.

Fortunately, the gator held back and, after a tense standoff, returned to the water.

But the fisherman called it day.

“And I am out of here,” he said. “Screw that.” [more]

  3. Whitmer threatens profit seizure if pipeline keeps operating
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/whitmer-threatens-profit-seizure-pipeline-192354645.html

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer threatened Tuesday to go after Enbridge's profits from a Great Lakes oil pipeline if the company defies her order to shut it down.

The Democratic governor issued the warning in a letter to the Canadian energy transport company on the eve of a state-imposed deadline to halt operation of Line 5, which moves oil through northern Wisconsin and Michigan to refineries in Ontario. Enbridge repeated its intention to defy Whitmer's demand.

Whitmer, backed by environmentalists and native tribes, says the segment is vulnerable to a catastrophic spill in the cold, swirling channel. She revoked an easement last November that Michigan had granted in 1953 for the pipes to occupy the lake bottom and ordered them closed by May 12.

Enbridge insists the segment is in good condition and says its loss would cause economic damage in both countries, a position shared by the Canadian government, which filed a legal brief Tuesday in support of the company.

In her letter to Vern Yu, Enbridge's executive vice president for liquids pipelines, Whitmer said continued operation of the line after Wednesday “constitutes an intentional trespass" and that the company would do so “at its own risk.” [more; should be an interesting "show down"]

Hilton Head woman was bitten 3 times by copperhead snake. What she did to survive
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/hilton-head-woman-bitten-3-170216898.html

The first bite felt like a bee sting.

Susan Conlin O’Neil was walking home from dinner to her Hilton Head Island condo Wednesday night when she took a step down on the sidewalk and felt a pang in her heel.

It was really no big deal. She said to her friends, “something got me!”

    Then the second bite came.

    And the third.

O’Neil was bitten three times by a copperhead snake on the sidewalk outside her South Forest Beach home. The second two bites were nothing like the first.

“It felt like someone stuck an electric knife in my leg, like a volt of electricity,” she told The Island Packet. “The pain went up my leg.”

Nearly a week later, O’Neil is still unable to walk. She’s home and holed up on the couch
Here’s what herpetologists at Savannah River Ecology Laboratory recommend doing — and not doing — after a snake bite:

Do not eat or drink anything.

Stay calm and do not run or engage in strenuous activity.

Remove all jewelry or watches from affected area.

Take note of the snake’s size and pattern or take a photo, but do not try to capture or kill the snake.

Get to the nearest emergency room. [more]

I-40 span over Mississippi River shut after crack found
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/40-span-over-mississippi-river-214122853.html

The Interstate 40 bridge linking Arkansas and Tennessee was shut down Tuesday afternoon after authorities said they found a crack in the span.

Arkansas Department of Transportation spokesman Dave Parker said the bridge would be closed at least through Tuesday night. The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the crack was found in the bottom side of the bridge truss.

height and width clearances for oversize vehicles were “basically intolerable requiring high priority of corrective action,” the inspectors found. Tennessee recommended “bridge deck replacement with only incidental widening."

The bridge carried a 2020 average of 35,000 vehicles a day across the wide Mississippi, 29% of them trucks, according to the report. Its traffic volume was expected to increase to 56,000 vehicles per day by 2040. [more; may be ZERO traffic by then]

Man stumbles onto dead shark on Virginia coast, leaving many to wonder what killed it
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/man-stumbles-onto-dead-shark-190549715.html

A dead shark found washed up on Virginia Beach has many fascinated, some “freaked out,” but most of all, curious what caused its death.

Discovered last week by a man walking in the Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach, the shark cuts a macabre figure in the sand; it’s gills sunken, skin wrinkled, eyes still open, sharp teeth set in a red-ringed mouth.

It is at least 6 feet long, according to the beachgoer, who shared a photo of the dead shark on Facebook.

The cause of death is unclear [more]

Air Force awards A-10 pilot for skillfully belly-landing her plane without landing gear after 'catastrophic' failure
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/air-force-awards-10-pilot-162339589.html

The US Air Force awarded one of its pilots for skillfully landing a damaged aircraft without a cockpit canopy or working landing gear after what the service described as a "catastrophic" failure.

Capt. Taylor Bye, a 75th Fighter Squadron pilot, pulled off an emergency belly landing in her A-10C Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in April 2020 after an unexplained gun malfunction over Grand Bay Range at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia sent panels and her cockpit canopy flying and prevented her landing gear from deploying. The signatories also called for the removal of Section 230, a part of US law that shields tech companies from legal liability. Trump called for the section to be removed last year after Twitter flagged two of his tweets about mail-in voting.

"Our Nation is in deep peril," the signatories wrote in the introduction to the letter.

"We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty." [more; y'all "woke"?]

  5. Removing that protection from tech companies would mean MASSIVE censorship. If you post something libelous NOW then YOU can get sued. Without that protection the tech companies themselves could be sued for what YOU post. They have deeper pockets so they would be the ones to get sued. So to reduce such lawsuits they'd have to censor anything and everything that even gets close to a gray area. Ergo, if massive censorship is what people want, then yes, make the tech companies liable for what anyone says using their technology. That'd basically be like suing AT&T if someone calls you from a phone using AT&T service and threatens your life. 'Well, they let the call go through! They should pay for that!'
