Event Update For 2020-03-24

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Hey Jonny, everyone. Your last story has "confounding problems" written all over it. This virus and our reaction to it is causing knock-on trouble, like lack of firefighters, police or other first-responders (from infection and isolation), diminished blood supply (lack of donors due to isolation), shortage of agricultural workers (due to border policy, isolation and infection), economic (oil/gas demand) loss (isolation of population), factory output crippled (isolation of population), shortages of supplies and supply chain disruption (isolation of population and infection) and more. Here in the U.S. we have a tough time with doing the right thing to keep the virus at bay due to "leadership" issues (priorities are different for the powerful), independence-minded citizenry (isolation only applies to others) and false media narratives ('the flu is worse,' etc.).
So we still probably have many people running around infecting others unwittingly (they have COVID-19, but in the dormant stage - where they can infect others without showing symptoms). My truck-driving son (in MD) most likely had it recently but fought through it WHILE STILL WORKING (not a good idea). He had all the symptoms and felt like shit for about a week, though it wasn't enough to keep him out of the truck. He said he has very little contact with others (delivering mainly to farms and feed-mills up and down the east coast). My youngest in CA is currently out of work due to a persistent cough.

Coal mines emit more methane than oil-and-gas sector, study finds
    http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2020/03/24/coal-mines-emit-more-methane-than-oil-and-gas-sector-study-finds/

Methane emissions from coal mines could be more than double previous estimates, according to a new study.

The fossil-fuel industry is understood to be one of the biggest sources of atmospheric methane, primarily due to leaks from the production of oil and gas.

However, a new paper published in the Journal of Cleaner Production suggests that coal mining may actually be a bigger contributor to levels of the greenhouse gas, with emissions set to grow considerably in the coming years. [more; even abandoned mines apparently leak methane]

  3. A Massive Surge Of Unemployment Like America Has Never Seen Before
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/a-massive-surge-of-unemployment-like-america-has-never-seen-before

The pace at which Americans are losing their jobs is absolutely breathtaking. According to the Wall Street Journal, the largest number of new claims for unemployment benefits ever recorded in a single week prior to this year was 695,000 during the week that ended October 2nd, 1982. So that means that what we are now witnessing is completely unprecedented. About half the country is currently under some sort of a “shelter-in-place” order, and there has never been a nationwide shutdown of businesses anything like what we are currently experiencing. Many are hoping that America will be able to “get back to normal” soon, but that all depends on the progression of this pandemic. The number of newly confirmed cases in the U.S. spiked by more than 11,000 on Wednesday, and the number of new deaths continues to escalate at a very alarming rate. Until those numbers start to improve, life is definitely not going to “get back to normal”.

In recent days, so many newly unemployed Americans have been trying to file for unemployment benefits that it has been crashing websites all over the country. For example, a newly unemployed worker in Michigan named Aaron Garza never was able to file for benefits through Michigan’s unemployment website although he kept on trying throughout Monday and Tuesday…[more]

If all the alarming coronavirus headlines have your anxiety at an all-time high, here’s some good news: A highly anticipated stimulus package meant to provide financial relief to consumers and businesses struggling in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic is ready to be set in motion.

Though the details of the plan have yet to be finalized and voted on, Congress has essentially agreed on the major provisions. The CARES Act, which lawmakers spent the past several days hashing out, includes a historic $2 trillion in relief funds.

But the big question on most people’s minds is whether they qualify for a cut of the money. Here’s a look at the plan, who qualifies and when you can expect to get paid. [more]
