Event Update For 2020-03-14

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good morning, Jonny and all your readers. Man, if we though last week was bad, this week promises to be worse. The one topic i've been harping on since like 2012 has been the coming food shortages as a result of loss of habitat, ruination of the biosphere, and climate-change related weather making it near impossible to grow food at scale. Well, here we are.

    Monday, 16 March 2020
Food shortages are kicking in in America

This is a heads-up. More to come.

Trump's "Urgent" Press Conference Sunday was about FOOD
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/03/food-shortages-are-kicking-in-in-america.html

Trump held an "Urgent" press conference at the White House today and the message he gave the American people was "Stop buying SO MUCH." and the stores are doing everything possible to re-supply as fast as possible and everything is going to be there. Relax. Have a nice dinner. The CEO of Walmart told me (the President) ""They're buying more than they do at Christmas."

    1. VIRUS SPREAD

-The virus is spreading via "community-transmission" in EVERY major city and large town in the country. The CDC told the President that in typical disease outbreaks, "community-transmission" requires one percent (1%) of the total, LOCAL, population to already be infected. For a country like the United States, with confirmed disease outbreaks on both geographic coasts and in the heartland (Chicago), one percent infected means NO ONE WHO GOES OUTSIDE IS SAFE, ANYWHERE OUTSIDE.

    2: FOOD

As you will remember last year saw major and long-term flooding throughout the mid-western US, which caused farmers to plant crops very late in the season because the ground was too wet to plant earlier. That meant the "growing season" started very late last season.

As harvest time approached, the same mid-western US saw early arrival of Winter. Early freezes KILLED much of the crops while they were still in the ground.

In addition, the flooding which hit the mid-western US drowned over one million head of food cattle last year. This drastically reduced the available stocks of Beef.

Poultry -- Chickens and Turkey encountered various bouts of low-pathogen Bird Flu which killed many, or forced owners to euthanize flocks.

Pork -- Pigs encountered Swine Flu, causing many to be euthanized.

Now, it seems that we have a Perfect Storm with shortages that started to show up in November.

Now, with the outbreak of Coronavirus, and Americans "stocking-up" the drastically indications are that food is running out

In addition , Hal Turner pointed out that it is the AVAILABILITY of food that is the problem rather than the ability of getting food to market,

"Trucking companies barely have any freight to move. Thousands in that industry are being laid off. Even top carriers like FedEx are laying off drivers for lack of freight.”

S&P Futures Crash on Wall Street

Fed Disaster: S&P Futures Crash, Halted Limit Down; Gold, Treasuries Soar After Historic Fed Panic
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/03/s-futures-crash-on-wall-street.html

The Fed may have a very big problem on its hands.
After firing the biggest emergency "shock and awe" bazooka in Fed history, one which was meant to restore not just partial but full normalcy to asset and funding markets, Emini futures are not only not higher, but tumbling by the -5% limit down at the start of trading... [more; i assume this was overnight]

[unfortunately, Mr. Snyder is a firm believer in Trump, who actually 'ASKED' for this]
Did The Federal Reserve Just Purposely Try To Crash The Stock Market?
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/did-the-federal-reserve-just-purposely-try-to-crash-the-stock-market

Unless the Federal Reserve is purposely attempting to spread panic on Wall Street, the decisions that the Fed just made don’t make any sense at all. Back on March 3rd, the Federal Reserve announced an unscheduled emergency interest rate cut for the very first time since 2008. Wall Street immediately interpreted that as a “panic move” and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session down 785 points. So Fed officials had to know what was going to happen once they announced an even bigger unscheduled emergency interest rate cut on Sunday. Predictably, stock futures hit “limit down” very rapidly, and now investors are bracing for a week of tremendous carnage.

But this didn’t have to happen. Yes, we witnessed three of the worst trading days in U.S. stock market history last week, but on Friday the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1,985 points. It was an absolutely epic rally, and if the Fed had not caused so much panic there may have been a good chance that the rally could have continued into next week.

In other words, U.S. stocks just had one of their best days ever, and there didn’t appear to be a need for any “emergency intervention” by the Fed.

If the Federal Reserve had just waited a couple of days until their normally monthly meeting, and if the Fed had just cut rates a quarter point, that would have likely been greeted by the markets with warm enthusiasm.

But instead, Fed officials decided to load up their bazooka and go for broke on Sunday. In addition to using up all of their “interest rate ammunition” in one epic volley, the Fed also officially restarted quantitative easing… [more]

  3. 'Global recession likely': Dow futures plunge 1,000 points despite Fed's zero interest rate and worldwide financial injections
    https://www.sott.net/article/430806-Global-recession-likely-Dow-futures-plunge-1000-points-despite-Feds-zero-interest-rate-and-worldwide-financial-injections

Global stock markets plunged Monday as investors were unnerved by drastic action from the US Federal Reserve to cushion the blow from coronavirus and as data showed the outbreak has caused an unprecedented economic collapse in China.

Markets were battered across Asia, with Australia's benchmark index crashing nearly 10% in its worst day on record. In Europe, London's FTSE 100 (UKX) fell 7% in early trading, while France's CAC 40 (CAC40) and Germany's DAX (DAX) dropped roughly 9%.

US markets were poised to suffer heavy losses. Dow (INDU) futures were last down 1,041 points, or about 4.5%. S&P 500 (SPX) futures slumped 4.8%, while Nasdaq (COMP) futures shed 4.5%. There are now more than 3,000 cases of the novel coronavirus in the United States, according to government agencies and the CDC.

Investors bailed out of stocks despite a massive intervention by the US Federal Reserve on Sunday. The central bank slashed rates to close to zero at an emergency meeting, and said it would purchase another $700 billion worth of Treasury bonds and mortgage-backed securities.

"I don't think [the Fed] would have done this unless they felt the financial markets were at significant risk of freezing up tomorrow. They're very concerned the financial markets won't work. So I don't know how the markets take solace in this," Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody's Analytics, told CNN Business. [more]

Chinese billionaire Jack Ma has in one fell swoop seemingly forgiven the US for its treatment of China in the dark days of its coronavirus epidemic and one-upped the capitalist system with a donation of much-needed supplies.

The Alibaba billionaire announced a donation of 1 million face masks and 500,000 coronavirus test kits on Friday, releasing a statement calling for "all humankind" to work together to fight the recently-declared pandemic. Signing off with "united we stand, divided we fall," Ma managed to make the US government, which all but congratulated itself on the increased business opportunities presented by thousands of Chinese drowning in their own phlegm, look like bumbling (and cruel) idiots. Four Ways Experts Say Coronavirus Nightmare Could End

“There are four ways,” the doctor told The Daily Beast. “One, it peters out with the weather. Fourth way is the most likely: We’re going to have a few drugs, within a few weeks to a few months, that prevent people from getting infected—like PrEP for HIV—and for treatment.” [more]

Italy air pollution plunges amid national COVID-19 quarantine
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/italy-air-pollution-plunges-amid-213600549.html

Italy has fared the worst out of all European countries amid the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. The Italian government first enacted a quarantine in the populous and heavily developed north, then expanded the quarantine to cover the entire nation on Monday.

With such measures in place, along with bans on public gatherings also announced Monday, the corresponding fall in industrial activity and road traffic has corresponded with a drastic drop in air pollution that has been visible from space. [more]

As of Sunday night, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported no confirmed Covid-19 cases in the state after 41 tests were performed at its public health lab. Results from 38 of those tests were returned negative, and three tests are pending. [more]

  8. Fact check: Coronavirus originated in China, not elsewhere, researchers and studies say
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/fact-check-coronavirus-originated-china-160811785.html

[fact check, my ass (CIA mouthpiece)!: HOW DID IT GET THERE? WHO MADE IT?]

A piece published by the Centre for Research on Globalization and circulated on social media claims the virus known as COVID-19 originated outside China.

That March 11 posting makes references to a March 4 post on the same site by the same author that claims the virus "may have originated in the U.S." Titled “A Shocking Update. Did The Virus Originate in the U.S.?” the earlier post makes several questionable claims about the origins of COVID-19 while misrepresenting cited research and media reports.

The central claim of both the March 4 and 11 posts — that COVID-19 may have been brought to China by the U.S. Army — was recently echoed by a Chinese government official on Twitter. The Chinese official's claims were presented without evidence.

Several of the central statements in the March 4 article misrepresent cited research or make unclear assertions. USA TODAY reached out to Larry Romanoff, author of both posts, for clarification on several of the claims made, but was unable to reach him for comment.

The consensus among researchers studying the spread of the virus pinpoints COVID-19’s likely origin to a “wet market,” or live animal market, in Wuhan, China. Though experts have not ruled out the possibility that the pathogen could have been brought to the market by an already infected person, there is no evidence to suggest COVID-19 originated outside the country.

The origin theory for the virus is supplemented by preliminary research into the disease’s genome, as well as the origins of similar diseases. Researchers at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Centre published the genome of COVID-19 two weeks after cases were reported in late December 2019. Gene sequencing analysis strongly suggests the virus originated in bats and was transferred to humans through a yet-unidentified intermediary species. In early February, Chinese researchers published work suggesting the intermediary species may have been the pangolin (also called a scaly anteater), though this work has not yet undergone a peer-reviewed study.
