Event Update For 2018-12-11

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2018-12-11 - Rotten egg odor blows through Austin and Pflugerville (Texas):
http://patch.com/texas/north-austin/reports-gas-odor-across-austin-blamed-outlying-oil-fields
http://ktxs.com/news/texas/afd-responding-to-calls-about-gas-odor-across-austin
http://cbsaustin.com/news/local/afd-responding-to-calls-about-gas-odor-across-austin
http://twitter.com/AustinFireInfo/status/1072569204484771841

Quote: "Numerous residents on Tuesday called to report the odor of gas across Austin that fire officials have blamed on oil fields in outlying communities. 'Nothing has been found by any of the units for the calls we've responded to,' fire officials wrote on Twitter. 'Appears to be moving north into the Pflugerville area. Most likely odor from Lockhart/Luling oil fields.'"

Note: What makes natural gas 'sour' is hydrogen sulfide, which is removed from gas and oil at refineries. So this is highly likely to be hydrogen sulfide escaping from sour gas in the ground in the area. If the concentration of the gas in the air reaches 0.1% then everyone who gets hit by it is going to fall over dead after one or two breaths. Also see the man in his 60s found dead under a bridge in Austin on this day...

2018-12-11 - Unknown stench blows through the Lehigh Valley (Pennsylvania):
http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/news/2018/12/odor-investigated-in-lehigh-valley-to-see-who-dealt-it.html

Quote: "The social media chatter arose Tuesday night about an odor of feces in the air earlier in the day, and it remained a mystery Wednesday with a state investigation underway."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/energy-environment/2018/12/11/arctic-is-even-worse-shape-than-you-realize/

Quote: "Over the last three decades of global warming, the oldest and thickest ice in the Arctic has declined by a stunning 95 percent, according the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s annual Arctic Report Card."

The disaster relief officials said the cleanup costs will far surpass the record cleanup expense of $1.3 billion the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers spent on debris removal in Northern California in 2017."

2018-12-11 - Hypoxic dead zones found in urban streams, not just on the coasts:
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/12/181211144644.htm

Quote: "A new study finds that hypoxic dead zones occur in nutrient-laden urban streams, not just in coastal waters. The research shows that intense storm flows can erode some stream channels to become a series of pools that trap nutrient-laden runoff. The elevated nutrient levels in the water spur greater consumption of dissolved oxygen by bacteria, causing the pools to become hypoxic until the next storm flushes them out."

  1. Hey Jonny, everyone reading JJFH today.

I bet the guy who died while being baptized was surprised how instantaneous death happens. The person baptizing him, i'm sure, thinks they did the right thing, since now the deceased is in "heaven!"

It was so nice here yesterday afternoon that I got busy raking leaves.

Hope everyone is safe and sane as we head for the beginning of winter.

As usual, there's a lot going on. Let's take a look around.

East Antarctica glacial stronghold melting as seas warm

A group of glaciers spanning an eighth of the East Antarctica coastline are being melted by the warming seas, scientists have discovered.

    https://www.sott.net/article/402750-Two-technicians-dead-after-being-found-unconscious-at-US-research-station-in-Antarctica

Two technicians performing maintenance at a U.S. research station in Antarctica died on Wednesday while working on a building that houses a generator for a nearby radio transmitter, the National Science Foundation (NSF) said.

The pair, both employed as subcontractors at the NSF-managed McMurdo Station in Antarctica, were found unconscious on the floor of the building after a helicopter pilot flying over the area saw what appeared to be smoke coming from the structure and landed to investigate.

One of the technicians was pronounced dead by medical personnel called to the scene. The other was pronounced dead a short time after being flown to the McMurdo medical clinic, the NSF said in a statement.

The two workers, described as fire technicians, were performing preventive maintenance on the building's fire-suppression system before they were found, the agency said.

No further details were immediately provided, and the incident was under investigation, the foundation said. [more]

Two-Thirds Of Americans Think That They Are Middle Class – But Millions Of Them Are Dead Wrong
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/two-thirds-of-americans-think-that-they-are-middle-class-but-millions-of-them-are-dead-wrong

The middle class has been steadily shrinking, but most Americans still believe that they are a part of it. Perhaps this is due at least in part to the egalitarian values which have been pounded into our heads for most of our lives. Very few Americans would have the gall to define themselves as “upper class”, and I have never met anyone that would describe themselves as “lower class”. In place of “lower class”, many politicians now like to use the much more politically correct term “working class”, but a more apt description might be “the working poor”. Today, half of all American workers make less than $30,533 a year, and you certainly cannot support a middle class lifestyle for a family with children on that kind of income.

Our incomes have stagnated as the cost of living has soared, and the middle class has experienced steady erosion as a result. But despite all that, 68 percent of all Americans still consider themselves to be “middle class”… [more; sounds like the same fantasy regarding unemployment numbers and rate]

The three highest-volume U.S. rainfall events on record happened in the past three years
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/12/the-three-highest-volume-us-rainfall.html

Preliminary research by precipitation expert Dr. Kenneth Kunkel of the North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies, announced in September 2018, found that the three highest-volume rainfall events in the U.S. in the last 70 years have occurred since 2016: Hurricane Harvey in Texas/Louisiana in 2017, Hurricane Florence in North Carolina in 2018, and a March 2016 storm in Louisiana. It is highly unusual to get three such extreme events in one three-year period, and the odds of this occurring were increased by global warming, which boosts the amount of water vapor in the air and increases the frequency and intensity of heavy precipitation events.
