A person had a 'medical incident' on a park bench right outside the White House. Other people have had 'medical events' at rallies. A yacht burst into flame right outside Trump Tower in Chicago. At least three different fires have burned Trump Towers, two of the fires in coastal Manhattan, one of those with a fatality. The First Lady's plane came down smoking in October in Maryland, not quite three weeks ago. Think Trump will catch on to what's happening before the Earth expunges him or his sons or his daughter or his wife? Extremely doubtful...

2018-11-06 - Seven students sickened by unknown cause at school in Pontiac (Michigan), 1300 feet from the Vermilion River:

Quote: "Seven students from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Pontiac were treated at a local hospital and released Tuesday, but officials still are unsure what caused the students to feel ill."

Quote: "While initially believed to be a gas leak, Jacob Campbell, deputy chief of the Pontiac Fire Department, said that neither the PFD nor any other department or agency detected gas when summoned."

Quote: "The municipal fire department arrived on scene with Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Ambulance Service and immediately began to triage patients and investigate the school utilizing four-gas monitors. Such monitors have a chemical sensor each for the percent of oxygen, the percent of lower explosive limit, the concentration of carbon monoxide, and concentration of hydrogen sulfide."

Note: So not a gas leak, and for once they actually did have hydrogen sulfide detectors. But hydrogen sulfide is water-soluble. Where does this school get its water supply from? An outdoor reservoir or a river or lake? Which kids drank from the water fountains? The ones that got sick? Hydrogen sulfide gas will also adsorb onto and into matter and then even though it's not floating around in the air, you can still get poisoned by touching contaminated stuff and then eating something with contaminated hands. So if hydrogen sulfide gets sucked into a school through the HVAC system overnight while nobody is there, it won't be in the air come morning - it'll be an invisible molecular coating on bannisters and locker locks and door handles and walls and inside porous materials like clothing and wood and carpet and drapes. And hydrogen sulfide detectors won't detect it in that form, nor when it's in the water, only when it's gas dispersed in the air...

The range of hourly subglacial CH4 flux rate through the discharge point was estimated to be 3.1 to 134?g CH4 hr-1. These measurements are the first observations of direct emissions of CH4 from the subglacial environment under the Greenlandic Ice Sheet to the atmosphere and indicate a novel emission pathway of CH4 that is currently a non-quantified component of the Arctic CH4 budget."

Note: And there's yet another self-reinforcing feedback - more methane entering the atmosphere warms the planet yet more, resulting in more melting ice in Greenland, which releases more methane, and so on and so on. Greenland is already losing a billion TONS of ice PER DAY from global warming...

2018-11-19 - Killing plants is the fastest way to end the world:

Quote: "Humans have already added CO2 to the atmosphere comparable to that which occurred during the 'Great Dying,' the end-Permian extinction event that occurred 252 million years ago, annihilating a majority of life on Earth. That event took 20,000 years, whereas humans have taken barely 250 years since the broad use of the combustion engine to dramatically increase CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Studies have shown that the current rate of CO2 injection into the atmosphere by humans is now mirroring the rate that this took place during the Great Dying. Species are already disappearing as fast as they did during Earth’s previous mass extinction events."

Note: That's what I've been saying all along - what is happening now is a repeat of the Great Dying, the Permian-Triassic extinction. The Earth is at the beginning of the SECOND Great Dying right now. There is no chance that human beings survive such an extinction event. Bacteria definitely will survive, roaches probably will, rats might or might not, and humans definitely won't. The dying of the insects is a huge indicator that we're in a second Great Dying. The Great Dying was one of the few extinction events where even insects took a significant hit. And now insects are dying all around the Earth again. At this point we're just seeing who dies in what specific manner and in what order as the human race and most other species are expunged from the planet. Also, we're seeing who gets killed off without even knowing what's going on. So far that's probably 99.999% of everyone...

It was not immediately clear what caused them to fall ill inside Cardinal Gibbons High School, but those most seriously sickened experienced seizures and passed out, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported."

Quote: "One thing all of the victims had in common is they were all in the gym shortly before they got sick. Fire Rescue can only speculate that something might have been released into the air, and quickly dissipated after all the doors had been opened."

Quote: "Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stephen Gollan told the news outlet that some students had seizures, while others had nosebleeds, shortness of breath and others passed out."

Note: HVAC unit might have sucked some hydrogen sulfide blowing by outdoors into the gym. The speed with which these people were affected and all of the symptoms are highly indicative of hydrogen sulfide poisoning. 2018-11-21 - Massive peat fires in Indonesia spewing huge amounts of CO2 and methane into the atmosphere:

Quote: Every several years, a series of climatic changes called an El Niño affects the Pacific Ocean regions, causing significant drought and fires. During the 2015 El Niño, Indonesia experienced an intense fire season which lasted from September through October, emitting an abundance of carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere and causing massive smoke plumes to form over neighboring countries, including Singapore."

Quote: "Harvey and Kai, who have been conducting research in the region since 2014, sampled and carbon dated the carbonaceous aerosol from September of 2014 to October of 2015. The results of their study found that the carbon level of the smoke plume had an intermediate age ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 years old. This confirmed that approximately 85 percent of the smoke was come from burning peatlands."

Quote: "Tropical peatlands may contain as much carbon as the amount consumed in nearly a decade of global fossil fuel use, and raging peat fires in Indonesia alone have been estimated in some years to contribute 10 to 40 percent as much greenhouse gas to the atmosphere as all the world’s fossil fuel burning."

The trend doesn’t necessarily mean the iconic giants are dying off, or that they’re not still migrating to the islands. But the apparent disappearance of many whales from a historically predictable location is causing concern and some researchers believe there’s a link between warmer ocean temperatures in Alaska and the effect that has on the whales’ food chain."

2018-11-27 - National climate plans, when you add everything up, will take us way beyond 3, potentially 4 degrees Celsius warming:

Note: It'll be way worse than that. They aren't factoring in the escalating methane feedbacks or most of the myriad other feedbacks. The fact is, if we turned off every power plant on the planet, today, and every car, plane and ship was left to rot, today, and every human being blew his or her head off with a shotgun, today, the warming would nevertheless continue and accelerate to way beyond 4C warming. We're not quite inconsequential - our burning coal and oil keeps 'global dimming' going, which is actually helping short-term even as it makes things more horrifyingly bad long-term. But all we have left to us now is short-term. 'Long-term' is not something with which we need to be concerned, since the human race won't be around on this planet for that...

2018-11-30 - California wildfires released huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere:

Quote: "U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke says wildfires in California in 2018 released roughly the same amount of carbon emissions as were produced in a year to provide electricity to the state. Zinke, citing figures from the U.S. Geological Survey, said Friday that the fires released roughly the equivalent of about 68 million tons of heat-trapping carbon dioxide. That's more than 15 percent of all emissions produced by California in a year. Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles, said the figure is strikingly high and likely a record for carbon emissions from wildfires in California history. This year included California's deadliest and most destructive wildfire — a blaze earlier this month that took out the town of Paradise and killed at least 88 people."

Note: Everything on the surface of the Earth is going to burn, including (but not limited to) all of human civilization. So how are we going to reduce carbon emissions? Even if we reduce emissions a little bit here or there, it'll be minuscule compared to the gargantuan amount of carbon that will be emitted as everything on the surface of the planet goes up in flames. Obviously, by the time the entire surface of the planet is burning there won't be many if any human beings left alive to care about the atmosphere and the habitability of the planet. This is yet another feedback: the more stuff that burns, the hotter things get and the more stuff that burns, and so on and so on.

The rising frequency and intensity of fires around the world is already clearly discernible to anyone with eyes to see. Massive peat fires have started burning in Indonesia, burning peat thousands of years old - that's ancient carbon. Unusual peat fires not seen before have broken out in Greenland as the permafrost melts there. The deadliest fire in Portugal's history ripped through forests there last year, burning dozens of people to death in their cars as they tried to flee. The deadliest high-rise fire in modern history killed dozens of people last year in Britain. Northern Sweden burned fiercely this year near the Arctic circle, something not seen before. Mammoth fires have begun tearing through Siberia each year as the permafrost melts and methane domes in the ground explode and burn there. Canada's had multiple consecutive years of massive wildfires, not unlike California. Both Washington and Oregon have experienced devastating fires in the last two or three years. The Amazon forest has been increasingly burning in the last several years in Brazil. Australia's wildfires appear to be worsening. The burning of the Earth has begun. It will only get worse from here on out, until every human being has been eradicated from the surface of the planet. And then things will REALLY get bad, but that won't be our concern, since we'll be ashes at that point and on our way to becoming part of a layer of coal for some future species to burn as fuel to power their civilization...

2018-11-30 - At least 144 wildfires continue to rage as heatwave broils Queensland (Australia):

Quote: "With severe to extreme heatwave conditions set to continue and 144 bushfires still burning, Queensland authorities are warning people to remain on high alert into the weekend and next week. On November 30, 2018, Queensland firefighters are still battling 144 bushfires burning across the state which already saw 200 fires this week. The government rated the danger as 'catastrophic' on November 28, for the first time in the history of the state."

Note: Look at the map in the last link. Around 80%+ of the fires are clustered along the coastline...
