Event Update For 2017-11-30

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  3. Well, the 1st day of Dec. started out pretty interesting here in my sleepy little lake town. We have only three ways into town and one was blocked up for most of the day with this:
11:30 a.m. 12-01-17. Grove Police Chief Mark Morris said they have been able to open at least two lanes of Highway 59 while the rest of the scene is being cleared. Access is limited to one lane in each direction for the immediate time. (KMHM)

10 a.m. 12-01-17 - Highway 59 is totally blocked between Leisure and 16th Street due to a semi overturned.

Grove Police Chief Mark Morris said the roadway will be blocked for an indefinite time.

EMS is sending an ambulance crew to stage on the other side of the accident for medical calls north of Leisure.

A wrecker service is on its way to clear the roadway but no time estimate on how long it will take to move the semi.

Persons needing to come into Grove from the north will need to detour to Highway 59 and the Elk River Bridge.

Take note: access to Leisure is not available from Highway 59. Northbound traffic is being diverted off of Main/Highway 59 to O’Daniel Street.

The driver of the semi does not appear to have any injuries. The driver of the pickup which was clipped is shaken but not injured. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

We will post when traffic is moving thru the scene. But for now the only access into Grove involve using the Elk River Bridge or Honey Creek Bridge. (KMHM)

This happened about 50 ft. from the old water treatment area which has been closed up and posted with H2S signs all over the fences for a while. The area is very swampy and always smells like rotten eggs, so it doesn't surprise me that this happened. I've heard many load explosive booms in the early mornings in this area as well. I have been seeing so many JJFH events in the past few weeks that it's crazy no one else gets it.

The brush fires in SW MO and NW AR and south of me in SE OK are really getting close. I am sick to death of all the leaf burning I have been witnessing. It's been super nice here, today's high is 70 and everyone and their grandma is burning leaves. I'm just waiting for a few lake communities to go up in smoke, but hey, it's not gonna change what people do.

    Have a lovely day all!

  4. Good one Fran! Thanks for checking in! Yeah, people are basically idiots that just keep doing what they usually do - use up resources, add to the environmental problems and waste time.

Here in PA, as you can see from Jonny's reports, we're getting fires (etc.) all over the place. Yesterday, one of the main arteries around here, three-lane Rt. 202 had the left TWO lanes blocked for the morning rush hour due to an accident that took close to 3 hours to clear. THOUSANDS of cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers, vans, SUVs and more were forced to use the one open lane - one at a time, at a CRAWL - causing MILES LONG backups both on 202 and the 30 by-pass entrance to same. This caused the side roads (like business rt 30) to be completely jammed with pissed-off drivers trying to get to work (at 0 to 4 miles an hour, stop and go, rude jerks trying to squeeze in ONE CAR AHEAD of whoever is behind them) while texting or calling their wives, bosses and appointments to alert them to the delay. It was awful.

Now this was on a perfectly clear, nice day with no road troubles at all. Wait til the bad weather rolls in (next Friday we're supposed to get an inch of snow - but we'll see about that)!

Worse, in my view is that every day I see dead deer, possums, squirrels, fox, cats, skunk and other wildlife splattered on the sides of the highways (or in the roadway). It's abysmally sad.

The lumber yard fire Jonny posted above is about 40 minutes from me. There's always barn fires, houses fires, car wrecks, and the like happening around there. Down here where I live, between two branches of the Brandywine River, we mostly get occasional house and/or garage fires, but hey - we're always open for new destructive craziness!

  5. Supermoon 2017 - the biggest of the year this weekend

December's full moon is known as the Cold Moon or Frost Moon because of the cold weather at this time of year. It is also sometimes referred to as the Moon Before Yule (Yule is an old northern European winter festival, associated with Christmas).

While this supermoon is 2017's one and only, 2018 will start with two in succession. Supermoons are set to occur twice in January, on the 2nd and 31st. When two full moons occur in the same month, the second is sometimes called a blue moon or, in this case, a super blue moon. [more]
