Note: All of these places will eventually degrade and release huge amounts of radiation. These facilities, and there are many, require significant amounts of energy and resources and manpower to maintain. At some point there won't be enough people left alive to do that. As soon as there are too few people left alive to deal with these places, radiation will spew all over the planet. Maybe we could proactively create robots to maintain these places after there are too few people alive to do it, but why bother? To save some weeds, bugs, rats, jellyfish, sea lice and bacteria from the radiation?
