Event Update For 2017-10-11

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. First, the good news - Rootsetters @ Sprout last night (an Ardmore based band, where i'm from originally): multi-instrumentalist (keyboards, flute, sax), great drummer, good lead guitar/vocalist, and awesome bass player KILLED it! I stayed as long as I could. Their songs (some original, lots of covers) would go on for 15 min. to a 1/2 hr - got everyone swaying and dancing - and put everyone into trance mode (like some Dead songs would meander for quite a while and then, suddenly, you're back to the song again). 'Put 'em in the rotation' (have 'em back)!
Saturday is going to be spectacular there with at least a DOZEN (great) bands (and dj's) performing all day long until closing (3 a.m. - it's a private club) with food and using an indoor/outdoor open venue style (weather permitting - grilling outside/regular kitchen fare inside)!

And now, the bad news - everything is falling apart rapidly and it's becoming obvious that there isn't going to be any "recovery,"
economically or physically, for quite a while (if ever) from these giant storms and all-consuming, hotter than usual fires.

"I believe that yuan pricing of oil is coming and as soon as the Saudis move to accept it — as the Chinese will compel them to do — then the rest of the oil market will move along with them," Carl Weinberg, chief economist and managing director at High Frequency Economics, told CNBC.

'Ear-splitting' boom rattles North Carolina homes - the source a growing mystery

An "ear-splitting boom" that shook homes in Winston-Salem has prompted an official investigation into the mysterious source of the noise.

Police said they received numerous calls around 10:45 p.m. Saturday about an "explosion" that rattled windows and shook homes, reported Fox8 WGHP. The reports came from people living in a several mile-wide radius from Tommy's Lake Road to Bethania-Rural Hall Road.

How bad can the new spying legislation be? Exhibit 1: it's called the USA Liberty Act
Freedom doesn't mean what you think it does

The details on US citizens are referred to as being "incidentally collected" – language that is used by the security services to justify not providing constitutional protections.

There is also precious little evidence that forcing the DNI to provide a report to Congress has a knock-on impact on the spies' accountability or transparency. All it has resulted in so far is the DNI either outright lying to Congress, or pretending to having heard a different question to the one asked. [more]

Navy Times survey reveals 'disastrous morale' aboard Japan-based USS Shiloh cruiser, sailors doubt warship could fulfill its tasks

One of the sailors referred to the military vessel as a "floating prison," while another one warned that "it's only a matter of time before something horrible happens", according to the three surveys, which have been conducted among the sailors of USS Shiloh during the 26-month command of Capt. Adam M. Aycock's, who rotated out as scheduled in a standard change-of-command ceremony on August 30.

The warship, which is based at the US Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan, is part of the 7th Fleet's West Pacific mission to deter North Korea. The comments however reveal that the sailors doubt it could fulfill its tasks.

"I just pray we never have to shoot down a missile from North Korea," one of the servicemen said, "because then our ineffectiveness will really show." [more]
