Event Update For 2017-08-27

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/08/climatedesk-theres-an-unbearable-chemical-smell-hovering-over-parts-of-houston-and-experts-are-worried/

Quote: "But just before midnight on Saturday night, Olmos, who has lived a few blocks from the massive Valero Refinery for years, noticed a strange odor in the house, as if someone had turned on a gas burner on the stove in the kitchen and blown out the pilot light. Olmos and her family thought it was coming from inside the house until she stepped outside where the smell was even stronger. 'We figured it would go away on its own, but this morning it was still here, and it feels like whenever it rains the odor gets stronger,' she says. 'Our neighbors were all talking about it and then I saw people from different neighborhoods talking about it on social media. That's when I realized it's not just us this time. It's all over East Houston.'"

Quote: "The communities 'can’t leave or evacuate so they are literally getting gassed.'"

Note: If that lady thought it was natural gas then that means it was a rotten egg odor. If any hydrogen sulfide is spewing from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the hurricane would have blown some ashore, and since it's water-soluble it might get into the rain too, thus the smell being stronger whenever it rains. Of course, they also have a lot of refineries in the area too, and hydrogen sulfide is a chemical found in refinery operations, but the possibilities are not mutually exclusive either. In any case, a rotten egg odor blowing around large areas in Houston is obviously not good, regardless of where it came from...

Quote: "Footage shared on social media shows people on the crowded beach packing up their things and rubbing their eyes as a hazy cloud appeared to drift in from the sea at Birling Gap, near Beachy Head (pictured) in East Sussex - Britain's tallest chalk sea cliffs at 530ft high"

Quote: "The source of the haze is not yet known but lifeguards said it was 'possibly some kind of gaseous fumes'. The coastline is a popular area with dog walkers and is a busy hotspot for tourists and locals enjoying the bank holiday weekend. But an exodus of confused and worried beachgoers was sparked when police evacuated the area and closed several roads to stop people from driving nearer to the noxious plume. Footage shared on social media shows people on the crowded beach packing up their things and rubbing their eyes as a hazy cloud appeared to drift in from the sea."

Quote: "Gas seems to have appeared in ‘an unknown haze coming in from the sea’, police said, warning people to stay away from the beaches and to keep doors and windows closed if living near the coast."

Quote: "A 'haze' that is causing discomfort for people along the coast from Eastbourne to Birling Gap has prompted emergency services to warn people to stay away from the beaches and to keep doors and windows closed if living near the coast."

Note: Sounds a lot more likely that that was hydrogen sulfide blowing in off the ocean than chlorine. Same symptoms, but where would chlorine come from in the ocean? Not to mention, there have been numerous events in the last month or two in Britain involving coastal areas being hit by unknown odors, so this is not an isolated event, but one event in a pattern of similar events...

  1. Super job, Jonny - you round up all the stuff the msm won't delve into, analyze it and come up with a reasonable, rational (though disconcerting) conclusion. How about all those poor kids dying at once in ponds and streams, just trying to bathe and cool off? It's tragic.

Harvey is going into phase 2, where it's already done way too much damage, but now it's re-invigorated and returning to maybe wash out a few dams (one levee was already breached) sending even more water downstream (ending up in Houston and environs). It's also heading slowly toward New Orleans and Louisiana in general.
You know things are gonna get bad when it's just raining normally in New Orleans, but the city pumps (that were just "rebuilt") fail. Here we go again.

-Harvey, now a tropical storm with maximum winds of about 45 mph, was around 100 miles east-southeast of Port O'Connor, Texas, at 5 a.m. ET Tuesday and was slowly moving back toward coastal waters.
-It is expected to remain offshore in the Gulf of Mexico before turning back north toward southeast Texas on Wednesday.
-Bands of heavy rain are expected to persist over the next several days, with parts of Texas and Louisiana facing record rainfall through at least Labor Day weekend, forecasters say.
-Flash flood warnings remain in effect for parts of the Houston region through Tuesday morning, and almost 300,000 customers are without power.

The Department of Homeland Security said it was sending personnel to the state to help bolster security forces, while Gov. Greg Abbott said the entire Texas National Guard — about 12,000 members — would be deployed. [more; go ahead, you loot we shoot]

Houston -sitting duck for next big hurricane
Hell and High Water (Full Text)
Houston is the fourth-largest city in the country. It’s home to the nation’s largest refining and petrochemical complex, where billions of gallons of oil and dangerous chemicals are stored. And it’s a sitting duck for the next big hurricane. Why isn’t Texas ready?
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2017/08/houston-sitting-duck-or-next-big.html

[this was written in March of 2016, an(other) ignored warning]

If a storm hits the region in the right spot, “it’s going to kill America’s economy,” said Pete Olson, a Republican congressman from Sugar Land, a Houston suburb.

Such a storm would devastate the Houston Ship Channel, shuttering one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes. Flanked by 10 major refineries — including the nation’s largest — and dozens of chemical manufacturing plants, the Ship Channel is a crucial transportation route for crude oil and other key products, such as plastics and pesticides. A shutdown could lead to a spike in gasoline prices and many consumer goods — everything from car tires to cell phone parts to prescription pills.

“It would affect supply chains across the U.S., it would probably affect factories and plants in every major metropolitan area in the U.S.,” said Patrick Jankowski, vice president for research at the Greater Houston Partnership, Houston’s chamber of commerce.

Houston’s perfect storm would virtually wipe out the Clear Lake area, home to some of the fastest-growing communities in the United States and to the Johnson Space Center, the headquarters for NASA’s human spaceflight operation. Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses there would be severely flooded.

Hopes for swift, decisive action have foundered as scientists, local officials and politicians have argued and pointed fingers at one another. Only in the past two years have studies launched to determine how best to proceed.

A devastating storm could hit the region long before any action is taken. [more; and it HAS!]

[see, the U.S. doesn't like when people tell the truth and expose their "secrets" - like they've been doing with McPherson and others - they'll 'get you back' sooner or later; this reporter may not have long to live, never mind being fired]

[yet ANOTHER thing to worry about with Harvey]
Danger Lurks In The Floodwaters From Hurricane Harvey
    http://www.ibtimes.com/hurricane-harvey-floodwaters-contain-alligators-fire-ants-disease-2583989

Wading through the deep flooded streets without any sort of protection could lead to some serious health complications, so unless exposure is totally necessary, it’s best to avoid going in the water.

The World Health Organization warns the exposure to flood waters can increase the risks for water-borne disease like cholera and hepatitis A. Additionally, contaminated waters that mix with flood waters can cause diarrheal diseases. A full list of infectious disease that those exposed to flood waters are at risk for is available online.

Other hazards that might be present in the water include live wires, sharp objects and manholes that might not be visible before entering the water. Live wires can electrocute waders and manholes can come uncovered in strong waters and pull waders down with great force.

Displaced animals and critters pose a threat as well. Especially in warmer climates like Texas and Louisiana those entering the water should be on the lookout for snakes, alligators, fire ants and critters that thrive in wet warm climates. [more]

Weaponizing history and journalism in America

    Paul Craig Roberts

In the United States, facts, an important element of truth, are not important. They are not important in the media, politics, universities, historical explanations, or the courtroom. Non-factual explanations of the collapse of three World Trade Center buildings are served up as the official explanation. Facts have been politicized, emotionalized, weaponized and simply ignored. As David Irving has shown, Anglo-American histories of World War 2 are, for the most part, feel-good histories, as are "civil war" histories as Thomas DiLorenzo and others have demonstrated. Of course, they are feel good only for the victors. Their emotional purpose means that inconvenient facts are unpalatable and ignored. House flippers triggered the US housing market crash, not poor subprime borrowers
    https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/house-flippers-triggered-us-housing-175705459.html

Mounting evidence suggests that the notion that the 2007 crash happened because people with shoddy credit borrowed to buy houses they couldn’t afford is just plain wrong. The latest comes in a new NBER working paper arguing that it was wealthy or middle-class house-flipping speculators who blew up the bubble to cataclysmic proportions, and then wrecked local housing markets when they defaulted en masse. 10. Yeah, only one ad here, for Joe Morey's book, and that's only here to give people a printed option for information and because Joe said he's send the Red Cross a little money for each book sold, and I knew the Red Cross would get strained by catastrophes. I don't want money to have anything to do with what's happening, as far as I'm concerned. That's also why I never turned on Google AdSense ads. Don't wanna profit off the suffering and dying of my fellow human beings, basically, and though I have little control over much of anything, I do have control over that.

As for my quiet followers, I dunno! Maybe what I'm saying renders people speechless. Or they're hoping I'm wrong and waiting to see something happen that would prove me wrong (which would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that), or something like that.

In short: I dunno, I just work here!
