Event Update For 2017-08-07

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Sea temperatures in shallower areas, ports, bays and beaches were even higher. The sea temperature measured at 3m depth in a yacht marina on the eastern coast reached close to 31°C. The highest sea temperatures are typically reached in early August each year, but are 2°C cooler than the recent values. This Is The Closest That The U.S. Has Been To Nuclear War Since The Cuban Missile Crisis

Are we on the verge of a nuclear war with North Korea?  It has now been confirmed that North Korea has successfully created a miniaturized nuclear warhead, and last month they tested a missile that can reach at least half of the continental United States.  Since 1994 the U.S. has been trying to stop North Korea’s nuclear program, and every effort to do so has completely failed.  Last September, the North Koreans detonated a nuclear device that was estimated to be in the 20 to 30 kiloton range, and back in January President Trump pledged to stop the North Koreans before they would ever have the capability to deliver such a weapon to U.S. cities.  But now the North Koreans have already achieved that goal, and they plan to ultimately create an entire fleet of ICBMs capable of hitting every city in America.

  6. Turns out my grandaughter and I got out of West Chester just in time. There's an underground electrical fire, Jonny - with 12 firemen "injured with non-life-threatening injuries" taken to local hospitals - and they're still not sure as of the recent breaking news story if it's under control. Several blocks were evacuated in the business district. The fire began in cables under the old courthouse.

  7. Thanks for the heads-up, and glad you got out before that happened! Sometimes those fires take out the street lights, so I doubt that's any fun if you're in the middle of it and trying to get out.

I was out and about for the third day of letting my 11th grade grand-daughter drive me around, learning the intricacies of backing into parallel parking places (both directions), various traffic situations and parking lot maneuvering.

We witnessed some strange, angry behavior by others (unrelated to our being there to observe) during our journey around town. Abusive yelling in public, racism, sexism, inter-gender confrontations - tensions are high. It's warmer than was predicted around here. Very pleasant, warm during the day and cool at night (last night was in the low 60's).

  10. Your grand-daughter's doing way better than I did with driving! I didn't learn how to drive and get a license until I was 24 years old. (I had car-phobia from the terrible accident that killed my mom when I was 12. My significant other of almost 30 years now is actually the person who got me past my car-phobia and helped me learn to drive.)
