Event Update For 2016-01-23

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Or maybe that water's contaminated, and they all touched it, and so they all died, just like the ten people who died after contact with water (and eight more lost consciousness), in Dera Ismail Khan (Pakistan), mentioned in the 2014-05-02 update. The largest number of people to be sickened after contact with water so far was over 200, who sickened after swimming at Horseshoe Lake near Mount Saint Helens (Washington), mentioned in the 2014-07-16 update. 41 children and some animals were recently killed after rainfall too, in Papua (Indonesia), mentioned in the 2015-11-24 update. 2. Hah, yeah, Canada is just a wee bit out of the way if you're going from Florida to Italy. Maybe one of those indirect multi-leg flights. Like when I returned to the US from Turkey, I went first to Istanbul then Switzerland then France then New York. (Whereas a piece of my luggage ended up going to Italy for some reason and I got it back several months later, with giant rectangular holes across it like a techno-dinosaur had chewed on it.)

  3. 10 Die in Avalanches Across West in 10 Days

Ten people have died in avalanches across the West in the last 10 days, making this month the deadliest January for slides in nearly 20 years.

Eleven people have died in slides throughout the whole month, including four over the weekend, for a total of 14 so far this snow season, according to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, which tracks slides across the country.

Venus, Saturn, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter (and Spica and Antares) all line up at dawn for the next month or so.
[check it out before you go to bed in the morning Jonny, they say the best time to see it is around 4 a.m.]
