Event Update For 2015-10-22

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2015-10-22 - Vauxhall issues alert after 130 of their cars burst into flame:

Note: Toyota and Mazda just issued some fire-related recalls too. The vehicles-burning-up problem is getting worse, so the manufacturers are trying to do what they can. Ultimately the problem is environmental though, so unless they start making cars that don't use friction-based braking in conjunction with flammable tires and brake pads, and don't use electrified copper, and don't use iron or steel, then the vehicle fires will continue to get worse, regardless of what they do...

At 6.10 a.m. he called the fire department which was quickly on scene and started extinguishing the fire from the outside due to the high temperature."

Hurricane Patricia makes landfall and wekens bringing downpours
Hurricane Patricia: fears of deadly landslides in Mexico as storm brings downpours
Storm is weakening but the worst is yet to come, warns Mexico’s president as reports of flooding and landslides come in before nightfall

One of the strongest ever hurricanes lashed western Mexico with rain and winds of up to 165 mph (266 km/h), causing chaos in coastal towns and resorts but less damage than feared before weakening on Saturday as it moved inland.

Mowing down trees, flooding streets and battering buildings, Hurricane Patricia plowed into Mexico as a Category 5 storm on Friday before grinding inland, where it began to lose power in the mountains that rise up along the Pacific coast.

[After a week of really nice weather, it's 37 F this morning, going to a high of 60.]

  2. Storms flood roads, cause train derailment in Texas

[it just STARTS with Texas - there's a LOT more, see video]
Many parts of Texas, including its biggest cities, were under flash flood watches through Sunday or Monday. The remnants of Patricia, which was downgraded to tropical storm status and was expected to reach northern Mexico by Saturday night, were expected add to the rain falling in South and Central Texas, said Jesse Moore, a National Weather Service forecaster in Fort Worth.

The storm system already moving through Texas dumped more than a foot of rain on parts of the state on Friday, causing flooding that blocked several major roadways.

A Union Pacific freight train derailed before dawn on Saturday near Corsicana, about 50 miles south of Dallas, because a creek overflowed and washed away the tracks, said Jeff DeGraff, a railroad spokesman. The two crew members swam to safety and nobody was hurt, he said.

"They (crew) escaped the train after it stopped and swam to high ground," DeGraff said. "A Navarro County rescue team was able to get in and pull them to safety, they are back safe on dry ground." [more incl. video]

Another tragedy: Multiple injuries at Oklahoma State University parade as car rams into crowd

At least two people are reported to have been killed and several more injured after a vehicle crashed into a crowd during the homecoming parade at Oklahoma State University in the city of Stillwater.

At the same time, Stillwater's mayor said that three people had been killed dead and 27 taken to hospital, including two victims in critical condition, the Local News on 6 TV station reported.

"At first we thought it was part of the show," Konda Walker told the Stillwater News Press. "People were flying 30 feet into the air like rag dolls."
"We were probably 10 feet away, when the vehicle came barreling through. We heard somebody scream 'Look out!'. [The car] plowed through a police motorcycle and then a crowd of people," another eye-witness told the news outlet.

Several witnesses also said the driver was a woman. She was taken to custody.

  4. Cellphone video captures explosion at radiological storage building in Nevada

State officials said the fire started in one of 22 covered trenches used to store low-level radioactive material like gloves or lab equipment. This caused the closure of U.S. 95 in both directions Sunday and Monday.

The fire eventually burned itself out. Government officials surveyed the area with a helicopter Monday, but the results came back negative for gamma radiation.Ground crews said they also didn't find any radioactive waste around the fire.

Man escapes with minor injuries in Utah County plane crash

The pilot, flying a small, single-engine aircraft, was re-seeding an area of private land near Elberta Saturday morning when his plane issued a stall warning, according to Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff's Office. Though he was already flying low, he tried to drop altitude and gain airspeed.

The man was not able to recover, however, and the plane scraped the ground and crashed, Cannon said. The plane caught fire and was destroyed.
