Event Update For 2015-07-29

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Major international insurers dropped out of the recycling insurance business more than a year ago, mentioned in the 2014-04-04 update. If they'd listened to me a year or two earlier then they might have saved themselves a few hundred million dollars or more. The fires alone were enough to get them moving out of the business though - they didn't need to know WHY recycling facilities had begun going up in flames, just that that was the case...

Freakin' GREAT report today Jonny - from opening quote to last story, just fascinating how quickly things are spiraling out of control. It's obvious that thing's are gettin' worse by the DAY anymore. Unbelievable amounts of marine die-offs this year. People dropping dead every day from unspecified causes - and that's just the ones we hear about! Nobody reports on some poor wino dropping dead and taken to the morgue - they don't count. How about all the people in old folks homes (because it's "expected" doesn't mean these occurrences don't happen there), all the missing people that nobody follows up on (the disappeared ones that aren't found) - and now we add to that people engaged in FUN and NORMAL activities conking out, goin' spastic, becoming zombies - completely out of character, they don't even know who they are. What about all those? No word from the "authorities" but they know somethin's up.

Crazy weather becoming the norm and having REAL EFFECTS on agriculture and food production - not to mention, storage, distribution and sales calamities also impacting food getting to hungry people. Dumpster diving will probably become the national past-time and they'll be making contests and reality tv shows out of it (ala Hunger Games, only this will be, ya know - ACTUAL HUNGER). That's only part of the problem - this crazy, unpredictable weather is also making it hard to keep people housed and our temperature regulated via lightening strikes, trees falling on lines, transformers and giant trunk line closets exploding along with power and transmission poles and lines. After a while it will be too costly and too much to maintain. [dang man, here comes the stone age again]

Big volcanic eruption there, but some of the dangers creep along unnoticed:

Voracious, potentially infectious African land snail spreading in Florida

"The fact is they're a human and animal health threat and they're a threat to Florida's agriculture," said Fagan.

The snails are voracious consumers of as many as 500 different plants, and are also known to eat the stucco off houses.

If they consume infected rat feces, the snails can carry a parasitic worm that is dangerous to humans and can cause a rare form of meningitis.

They are also huge. The biggest one found in Florida was nearly seven inches (18 centimeters) long.
