Event Update For 2014-02-19

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2014-02-19 - 'Werewolf' spotted on CCTV camera in São Gonçalo de Campos (Brazil), residents scared, curfew imposed:

2014-02-19 - Strange 'alien' creatures appear in waters in Kien Giang (Vietnam), kill fish:
Quote: "Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the Kien Giang Aquaculture Department, said that the strange creatures are as big as fingers, 10-15cm long, with a lot of mucilage on the body. They cling around the fish cages in the island communes of Hon Tre, Lai Son, Nam Du and An Son in Kien Hai District. The toxin produced by these creatures makes fish blind, weaken and finally die."
Note: These things could also be genetic chimeras, but what two species they may be a combination of, I have no idea. Doesn't sound too good for the local fishing industry there. Looks like Mother Nature is ramping up her genetic blending capabilities as the planetary environment degrades, and there's no predicting what we'll see or where, though many chimeras will have a human component if for no other reason than that we are everywhere. Also, species that are partially human will tend to be smarter, which is a survival trait, so odds are that we'll see a lot of human-something combos, like human-dog, human-lizard, human-bear, human-pig, human-rabbit, human-wolf, human-fish, etc. These creatures are not likely to be particularly friendly...

  1. Jonny:

For privacy fences, whether they're wood, plastic or even chain-link, the anchoring has to be done right. If you cement wooden 4 x 4's into the ground the base will rot out unless coated with roof tar and kept up with regularly (even treated lumber) - if you use that plastic decking material (for the posts) you have a better chance of it staying up longer, but it's expensive. For exterior posts of any kind, make sure you have about 2 feet in the ground and tamp rocks, gravel and dirt around to keep them in place instead of using cement. Secondly fences should allow air flow while obstructing sight - that provides less area for the wind to impact.

Sorry to hear about your fence (be glad it wasn't your roof).

    1. Thanks for the fence info, and yes indeed, I'm very glad it wasn't the roof!
