Event Update For 2014-02-23

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2014-02-23 - Landfill hit by major fire in suburb of coastal Melbourne (Australia), toxic smoke hits the city:
Quote: "Residents in Melbourne’s southeast are being urged to stay indoors as a toxic fire at a landfill site spreads potentially hazardous fumes over the area."
Quote: "Authorities are warning residents to take immediate shelter and switch off heating and cooling systems. Father-of-four Dragan Jovic said being bunkered in his Dandenong South residence made him feel like a prisoner in his own home. 'We can’t even enter our own streets. We don’t know what’s going on,' Mr Jovic said. 'The smell is unlike anything. It seems quite hazardous.'"
2014-02-23 - Recycling plant erupts in flame at 5 AM in Worksop (Britain), third blaze here in six months:
Note: From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

2013-02-23 - Explosion and fire destroys home in Henry County near Salem (Iowa), 2 killed:

Quote: "The state Medical Examiner's Office said the Loyds were killed by the blast and subsequent fire."

2014-02-23 - Underground electrical fire breaks out in Blackburn (Britain):

2014-02-23 - Underground electrical explosion hits Manchester (Massachusetts):

2014-02-23 - Generator bursts into flame at casino in Kinder (Louisiana), near Lake Charles, panic ensues, some injured:

Quote: "What started out as a controlled evacuation quickly turned to panic and chaos at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, LA last night. Lake Charles news stations associated with KALB reported that two electrical generators exploded at the casino. They were running on generator power as one transformer went out earlier that day, according to staff on the scene."

Note: So a transformer went out in this area, so they went to backup generators. Then one of those burst into flame. I've mentioned this before, but once the grid goes down, you won't be able to safely count on generators as backup, because they may explode and/or burn too...

2014-02-23 - Numerous wildfires erupt in northern Arizona, homes and cars destroyed:

Quote: "It looked like urban warfare -- like a bomb dropped..."

Note: Good thing it's not fire season. Wait, maybe that's not a good thing...

2014-02-23 - More than 30 brush fires break out in North Carolina:

Quote: "Thirty-four brush fires were reported statewide Sunday, burning 110 acres, according to the N.C. Forest Service. That included a 30-acre Jackson County blaze in the Greens Creek community off U.S. 441 south of Sylva."

2014-02-23 - Rash of fires hits Echo Park neighborhood in coastal Los Angeles (California), residents on edge:

2014-02-23 - Fishing boat bursts into flame, burns and sinks, near coastal Fort Lauderdale (Florida):,0,5528131.story

Quote: "A sunny South Florida morning ended in flames for two boat owners after their vessels caught fire in separate incidents in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, claiming the life of one dog in Miami Beach..."

Note: So two boats went up in flames in 'separate' incidents in coastal southern Florida. Very similar to the three boats that went up in flames in two 'separate' incidents within 3 minutes in Washington DC recently, as mentioned in the 2014-02-11 update...

2014-02-23 - Houseboat bursts into flame in Burnham (Britain):

2014-02-23 - Tractor trailer bursts into flame at 5 AM on Highway 97 in Lake Country (Canada):

2014-02-23 - Tractor trailer bursts into flame on Buchanan Highway in Cedartown (Georgia):

2014-02-23 - Postal truck bursts into flame in Munfordville (Kentucky):

Quote: "Why have no residents been notified that their was a mail vehicle fire on sat 2/22? the mail had not yet been delivered so mail was destroyed. Residents have been given no notice, have no idea what to do about missing bills, checks, packages etc. Not even a courtesy letter! When will we hear about it? In 2 weeks in the paper? Never?"

Note: So a mail truck went up in flames and nary a word about it. Suppression of news may be escalating now. Things are getting kinda obvious. They can't stop all the explosions and fires and people and animals sickening and dying, but they CAN take some steps to ensure people don't hear about at least some of the events. Orwell would not be surprised...

Quote: "Meanwhile, firefighters from Roscoe, Stockdale, California and Washington Township responded to a car fire in Roscoe. But by the time they arrived on the scene, the car ignited a building..."

2014-02-23 - SUV bursts into flame while parked at home, fire spreads, minivan and garage destroyed too, in Hampden Township (Pennsylvania):

2014-02-23 - House damaged by fire at 12:03 AM in coastal Rainier Beach, Seattle (Washington):

Quote: "Seattle Fire investigators determined that the roof fire was accidental and caused by an electrical fire near the exterior porch light."

Note: I've mentioned this vulnerability before. Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, so any exterior wiring is a potential vulnerability. Not really different from all the 'electrical fires' burning up vehicles (running or not), the Boeing Dreamliner fires, the power pole fires, the underground electrical explosions and fires, etc. There was one incident where a parked SUV burst into flame at one home and dimmer switch wiring ignited in the adjacent home at the same time, at 3:30 AM, in Stuttgart (Arkansas), as mentioned in the 2013-02-05 update. Coincidence? Hah, no way...

Quote: "Seven Sumatran elephants have been found dead in western Indonesia and it is thought they were poisoned..."

Note: Yes, they probably were poisoned, though most likely by hydrogen sulfide, not by humans. This area is also being hit hard right now by huge peat fires. Peats, bogs, swamps and marshes are low-lying areas where hydrogen sulfide will tend to accumulate, and it is highly flammable...

2014-02-23 - Man, mid-40s, drops dead in hotel room in Meriden (Connecticut):,0,7647968.story

Quote: "Meriden police are investigating what they are calling an 'untimely death.' According to police, a man who appeared to be in his mid-40s was found dead in one of the hotel rooms."

Note: Meriden, that sounds familiar. Oh right, the day prior a 'rotten smell' wafted over the city, as mentioned in the 2014-02-22 update. Hydrogen sulfide is deadly at 1 part per thousand and can have a delayed reaction before you keel over dead from respiratory paralysis. He probably got a whiff near a creek or pond or something while out doing his daily business then dropped dead a little later in his hotel room...

The current collider, built by the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (Cern) for £6bn, started up in late 2008."

  1. Jonny:

Amid all the collapsing buildings, etc. I've been checking out the trees on my way to work (and driving around in general) and see many huge branches just sheared off, whole trees uprooted (exposing very little root structure - even for tall trees) and toppled over and broken branches still stuck way up in many trees just waiting for the first good-sized wind to fall to the ground. We'll probably see more tree-related deaths and major fire activity as the spring and summer seasons roll in (since we already have some of this and it's only February).

Trees are being affected by the concentrations of toxic gases in the atmosphere - they take them in and sicken from it, hang around for years dying slowly and remaining upright while rotting from the roots to the core on the inside, while displaying signs in their crowns, on their bark and leaves indicating stress and problems.

Witnessing this steady degradation of the biosphere is hard to deal with on a personal level (ie. it's depressing to say the least).

Keep up the great documentation and collation of information - I really appreciate it!

    1. Yep, trees are taking a hit. Remember those 500 million trees that died of drought in Texas a coupla years ago? I don't think many burned last year, so now they've had 2 years to dry out, and Texas is a Gulf Coast state. And yeah, it's all depressing. There's much dark humor to be mined in these here parts!
