Event Update For 2017-05-02

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Thanks for the typo-check, Tom! I even found two that you missed - basemall, and 'in the coast'. *pats self on back*

Didn't brave the rain to go see Guy, but I watched the livestream, once I created an account. It glitched on me twice, but the first time was fine, since it reset things back to the beginning, and I don't think I missed much with the second glitch. Good presentation! I can see how he must've made a really good teacher. He even had a Missouri joke, where he mentioned Kansas, then said, 'Why Kansas? Because Missouri loves company.' Not bad! Heh.

  2. Wow, you weren't understating the conditions in MO, Jonny - that banner shot is unbelievable! Both our states are taking a beating lately (as well as many others, but we don't live there). We're supposed to get downright COLD again next week - 30's they're sayin' now.

Hull has it's first JJFH incident for May.

It's amazing to me that a SWAMP can burn. Hey, maybe that will help with their invasive python problem.

Boats and buses burnin' up big-time anymore, and 'medical episodes' keep pilin' up.

Coupla trains derailed and a helicopter (and fighter jet) crashed on this day - those don't happen every day either. Awful lotta people strokin' out too.

    Let's see what happened overnight:

Thousands of cattle killed by spring snow storm in Colorado

[so we continue to lose FOOD due to these storms now - McPherson cited the loss of 1/5 of the nation's wheat crop due to a single weekend of aberrant weather on his U of MO talk last night]

Farmers and ranchers in Baca and Prowers counties have lost cattle and countless crops due to the spring snow. The Colorado Farm bureau estimates the cattle deaths are into the thousands. [more; GEEZ!]

  3. See, what happens is, i'm so captivated by the content that I lose track of 'em, and don't remember them all by the time i'm done being WOW-ed by the impact of all these incidents. Some days I just don't bother, if there's only one and it's obvious what the word should have been, and i'm not trying to be a pest or make more work for you, man.

Keep up the good work, Jonny, you're doing a positive service for humanity, whether they know (or appreciate) it or not.

Yeah, glitches happen during some of McPherson's presentations (NSA?), but they usually get corrected for the archives.

  4. Stephen Hawking: Humans have 100 years to find a new planet

[see, here's a BRILLIANT physicist completely missing the rate of biosphere collapse in his calculations]

While things look bleak, there is some hope, according to Hawking. Humans must set their sights on another planet or perish on Earth.

[HOPE is bullshit! It's sitting around fretting while imagining that SOMEBODY will get around to "fixing" it while we fritter away our time on other nonsense. Never happens.]

In the past, Hawking has suggested that humankind might not survive "another 1000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet.” The BBC documentary hints at an adjusted timeframe for colonization, which many may see in their lifetime.

    [more; yeah, well we we're supposed to be living the Jetson's life by now, too, but N o o o o o o !]

  5. I like SOTT because it covers a wide range of stuff that appeals to me. The problem is that, despite stating that they're unbiased in their banner, they ignore stories and evidence that doesn't agree with their agenda, which is a form of climate denial and they post misinformation from dubious sources. I read what they post, but check the sources and the science. Of legit, I'll pass it along. Other times their stories have some truth in them, but then they veer off into crazy opinions and draw inaccurate conclusions and I'll comment about it.
