Event Update For 2019-04-03

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Hey Jonny, Fran, Mike D., Tom N., LL, Terry and FezzedOne. Congratulations on staying alive another week.

i'm noticing more double JJFH events in current reports here.
For example (beside the one Jonny points out), in Louisiana on this day there was a small plane making an emergency landing due to engine failure in Baton Rouge, while about 16 miles straight north, up highway 61, there was a deadly mobile home fire in Zachary (~ 23 min. away by car; i'm sure an atmospheric concentration of H2S/CH4 can make the trip more quickly).

Looking at other distances and directions of incidents posted here on the same day, in the same state, yield some interesting findings. The incidents in NY were very close to large bodies of water. Merrick ~ 12 miles from S. Oyster Bay, Rochester ~ 35 miles from Lake Ontario, while Trenton, NY is about 43 miles from Oneida Lake.

More on this at another time.

War … What Is It Good For? (Not the Economy)

Top Economists Say War Is Bad for the Economy

Nobel prize winning economist Paul Krugman notes:

If you’re a modern, wealthy nation, however, war — even easy, victorious war — doesn’t pay. And this has been true for a long time. In his famous 1910 book “The Great Illusion,” the British journalist Norman Angell argued that “military power is socially and economically futile.” As he pointed out, in an interdependent world (which already existed in the age of steamships, railroads, and the telegraph), war would necessarily inflict severe economic harm even on the victor. Furthermore, it’s very hard to extract golden eggs from sophisticated economies without killing the goose in the process.

We might add that modern war is very, very expensive. For example, by any estimate the eventual costs (including things like veterans’ care) of the Iraq war will end up being well over $1 trillion, that is, many times Iraq’s entire G.D.P. [more]
