Event Update For 2015-09-11

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2015-09-11 - Several dogs found with chemical burns, two die, in Antelope Valley (California):

Note: They don't know how these dogs are being chemically burned but suspect someone is doing it. Maybe that's the case and maybe it isn't. As hydrogen sulfide reacts with other chemicals in the atmosphere, sometimes sulfuric acid and other caustic chemicals will be formed, which can cause chemical burns if they come down in the rain. There was an incident in the Pacific Northwest in 2011 where some people went jogging and it rained on them and they got chemical burns. What caused that? Obviously something that came down in the rain. The same thing that burned those people may have chemically burned these dogs too. It's worth paying attention to anomalous 'chemical burn' incidents from here on out, particularly if there's no evidence of human involvement, as with these dogs...

Quote: "We suspect the 23-yearold was disappointed about the unemployment and committed suicide..."

Note: Cool story, and I had no idea that the authorities in India could read the minds of dead people! Best to eliminate accidental causes first in any case - you know, like professionals - so what were the hydrogen sulfide levels in the air and in the water in that area? How about the clothes of the corpses? Ah, nobody's checking. Well then, they're never going to know what's killing people in/near water and other low-lying areas, unless someone leaves a note, and none of these five people did. Looks like all the schools of fish and whales and stuff bubbling up dead around the world lately, except this time the 'school' was human. And knowing India, they'd probably say that the fish are committing suicide too...

Governor Jerry Brown calls state of emergency as 50,000-acre blaze continues in California's Valley Fire

  6. I happen to live in the area affected by the Valley Fire, although my own home is not in the danger zone. There is a lot of smoke everywhere. Today I spoke to a neighbour who had just been riding his bicycle. I questioned his doing that in such bad air quality. He told me he had been riding in Ukiah, where the air is cleaner. However, he said he noticed a smell like rotten eggs. Isn't that what hydrogen sulfide smells like? BTW, the Valley fire went from zero to 50K acres in less than 24 hours. Unheard of.

    1. Hope the winds don't shift the fire your way - looks baaaad! Yes, hydrogen sulfide smells like 'rotten egg' odor at low concentrations. And it's highly reactive with many things, and it's highly flammable. So it's probably blowing around out there, adsorbing onto matter, like an invisible chemical coating, and then it will exacerbate fires, and that might make the smoke much less healthy than normal smoke, which isn't too healthy to begin with.

    2. Another thought: The Valley Fire started in Anderson Springs, which is not far from the Geysers geothermal power plant. The Geysers is a known source of hydrogen sulfide, and there are numerous safety precautions against it. There is a windsock above the plant. Its purpose is to indicate wind direction in case the alarm goes off indicating toxic gas. If it does, you move against the wind. People have died breathing the fumes.

    3. That wouldn't surprise me. The Coachella Valley has been getting regular hydrogen sulfide alerts too, ostensibly from the Salton Sea. I think the problem is that heat is rising from BELOW. So all the 'normal' and 'traditional' sources of hydrogen sulfide are seeing MORE hydrogen sulfide. There was some oil company that started receiving shipments of crude with LETHAL levels of hydrogen sulfide in the oil, and they sued to be able to reject such shipments. (Don't recall for sure if they won the lawsuit or not, but I think they did.)

Natural gas and oil are getting more 'sour', and that geothermal plant may be emitting more, and the Salton Sea certainly seems to be emitting more too. But if it's heat from below that's causing all this - including the increased subsurface volcanism in the oceans that have caused several new islands to form in recent years - then this problem will apply to ALL the traditional sources of hydrogen sulfide, all over the planet - the oceans, the seas and lakes, geothermal plants, natural gas and oil deposits, landfills, etc.
