Event Update For 2015-08-26

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

New math could reveal hidden sources of chaos

"You could say you have chaos if you have exponential growth of uncertainty," Hunt told Live Science. "That could happen in relatively simple systems that people haven't been willing to call chaotic."

[oh, ya mean like with climate change, for example?]

The team developed a definition of chaos that was deceptively simple, and roughly based on the quantity similar to entropy, or the inherent tendency of things in the universe to move from a more orderly to a more disorderly state. They found that, if this entropy-like number, called expansion entropy, is positive, the system could become chaotic, whereas one with zero expansion entropy would not become chaotic.

Purple Waves Puzzle Oregon Coast Scientists, Officials

Puzzling purple waves have been hitting the Oregon coast here and there for the last month, and no one seems to know what it is.

[meanwhile, FL is declaring an emergency BEFORE the storm hits!]

State of emergency declared in Florida; tropical storm nears

  5. Those purple waves are a very bad sign: that could be - probably is - purple sulfur bacteria. They feed on hydrogen sulfide, and they don't exist unless there's hydrogen sulfide already present in the water, produced by other bacteria.

That means the ancient bacteria that PRODUCE hydrogen sulfide at the bottom of the oceans are cranking out enough hydrogen sulfide now for these purple sulfur bacteria to start growing colonies. And that means the problem is accelerating. This IS the kind of problem that accelerates at a geometric rate, fueled by bacterial growth rates, so while seeing the purple waves isn't unexpected, it is likely a sign that this extinction event is seriously intensifying.

  6. Yeah, i was afraid of that. There's absolutely no doubt that our days are numbered now. People think the economy falling apart will be bad, but have no idea how bad the environmental catastrophe is becoming - not even on their radar!
