Event Update For 2014-07-31

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions

2014-07-31 - Massive underground explosions erupt at midnight in Kaohsiung (Taiwan), at least 24 killed, 270+ injured:

Quote: "Blasts caused by leaked gas overnight in Taiwan’s biggest port city killed at least 24 people and injured about 271, in what local television described as the nation’s deadliest gas explosion."

Quote: "Some witnesses told the agency they first thought some 'poisonous gas' had leaked from the old railway and a construction site of Kaohsiung's light rapid transit system. 'I saw fire spurting, ripping off some covers of ditches. It was terrifying,' he said. Others reported the whole street was strewn with bodies, as the sky turned red with the light of the flames. The blasts which hit Kaisuan Road and Ersheng Road were felt in at least four areas in the port-city of Kaohsiung, which is home to over 2.7 million people, most of them Chinese."

Quote: "At least 24 people were killed and 271 others injured when several underground gas explosions ripped through Taiwan's second-largest city overnight, hurling concrete through the air and blasting long trenches in the streets, authorities said Friday."

Note: These explosions and fires happened in the sewer system. Hydrogen sulfide is commonly known as 'sewer gas' and it is highly flammable, much more explosively flammable than natural gas or methane. People reported 'smelling gas', but methane and natural gas are odorless. They add mercaptan to it so that it has any smell at all. Mercaptan smells like 'rotten eggs' and so does hydrogen sulfide, at least in lowish concentrations. Sewers are a traditional source of hydrogen sulfide and methane. Hydrogen sulfide is also a heavier-than-air gas so when any blows in off the oceans or seas - and Taiwan is an island and this city is a port city - then it will settle and flow to the lowest-lying areas that it can reach. In major cities that will be the sewer systems. Wee hours, port city on an island, 'rotten egg' smell, sewer system exploding and igniting - this event almost certainly involved hydrogen sulfide...

2014-07-31 - Auto salvage yard erupts in flame, 60 junk cars burn, in Horseheads (New York):

Quote: "Fischer said there’s occasionally a fire at Pick-A-Part, but Thursday’s was the biggest he’d ever seen. 'Once in a while we’ll come over here for a car or two on fire, but not 60-plus cars,' Fischer said."

Note: The times, they are a-changin'...

2014-07-31 - Boat, pickup, motorcycle, RV trailer, hay, garage and workshop destroyed by fire at 4:20 AM in Vernon (Canada):

Quote: "Destroyed were a late-model pickup, a new motorcycle, the travel trailer, a four-metre boat, the hay, garage, a workshop and numerous tools, including a compressor. The renters were sleeping in a house 50 metres away and were unhurt. They had no livestock. It’s possible spontaneous combustion ignited the hay, but investigators are leaning toward the interior of the garage as the source of the fire, Blair said."

Note: One of those vehicles probably spontaneously ignited. The more vehicles that people park near each other, the greater the chance that they ALL go up in flames, since all vehicles are now randomly-igniting firebombs that can go off at any time. The wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any methane or hydrogen sulfide in the air above closer to the ground, making explosions, fires and people and animals sickening and/or dying more common during those hours...

Note: Yeah, real *cough cough* lucky that pond was right there...

2014-07-31 - In separate incidents, three cars burst into flames on Acton Lane in Sudbury (Britain):

Note: No evidence of arson, so just more clueless fire officials making assumptions. They're not too great at identifying possible accidental causes for fires, but they'd definitely have a shot at taking the gold in any Olympic Jumping To Conclusions contest!

2014-07-31 - In separate incidents, two cars burst into flame while parked on same street in Bradford (Britain):

Quote: "Fire crews from Odsal station were called to Round Street, West Bowling, at 9.20pm last night and 1.30am this morning. The cars targeted were a Toyota Yaris and a Mercedes. A fire service spokesman said both fires were probably started deliberately."

Note: They haven't eliminated accidental causes, like hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with electrified copper and rusty iron, so they don't know if this was arson or not. Also, it's highly doubtful that any arsonist is gonna hang around for more than FOUR HOURS after burning one car and then burn another on the same street. To be fair, if I was completely clueless about what was going on, I'd probably suspect arson too, even though it doesn't make sense. On the other hand, it's THEIR JOB not to be clueless about such things...

Note: More likely their water supply got contaminated with hydrogen sulfide or a gust of wind blew some gas into their home and knocked them dead. The government in India (and governments elsewhere) are trying to hide what's happening, so their options when they lie to the people are limited when there are multiple corpses without any sign of injury like this. There aren't a lot of stories they can even TRY to sell, so this is one of their 'go to' excuses. They're very predictable. At this point I could write their scripts for them, if I was of a mind to lie to the people, which I am not...

  1. First thing I saw this morning:

Lake mysteriously shows in drought-torn Tunisia

Hundreds enjoy new lake despite warnings that the water might be radioactive

Local shepherds in the drought-stricken region of Gafsa in the African country of Tunisia recently stumbled upon an incredible and mysterious sight: a beautiful lake, which emerged out of nowhere.

Some locals are calling it a miracle. Others are calling it a curse.

Hundreds of people are flocking to the new lake dubbed Gafsa Beach (a.k.a. Lac de Gafsa) to go swimming, diving, and scuba diving, or to simply find relief from the heat, this despite warnings by local authorities who claim the lake could be radioactive.

Public Safety director Hatef Ouigi told France 24 that the warning was a cautionary measure until experts can verify the water is not contaminated.

The lake, which covers 2 1/2 acres and is 32 to 59 feet deep, was discovered three weeks ago and already has its own Facebook page showing people enjoying the water, but officials are at a loss to explain its origins.

“For the time being, the origins of this lake remain a mystery, but our biggest concern right now is the quality of the water,” Souid told France 24. “This region is overflowing with large deposits of phosphate, which can leave behind radioactive residue [phosphate mining is the region’s main industry].

“So, there is a real risk that this water is contaminated and carcinogenic. On the first few days, the water was a clear, turquoise blue. Now, it is greenish and filled with algae, sure signs that the water is stagnant, which means it’s a perfect breeding ground for parasites and disease.”

Unfortunately, the warnings weren’t enough to keep people away.

“The site is certainly stunning and there are many large rocks perfect for diving,” Souid told France 24. “So to truly dissuade people from coming, we’ll need something more convincing than a little warning.”

Let’s just hope Gafsa Beach turns out to be a blessing and not a curse. Only time will tell.

We have a new addition to the list of weird stuff just spontaneously combusting on its own - a pile of bedding straw. [who the f@^)( sleeps on straw these days? Oh, wait, barn animals, I guess . . .]

Dang, the zombies are getting restless - eatin' and beatin' their own now!

Ya know, when 'em mountain lions finish off the pets, guess who is gonna be dinner?

Yeah, I read that NASA thing - maybe that's what's been powering all the UFO's being seen around the world.

Great job again this month Jonny! How long before the "arson" calls become complete overused nonsense (ie. cameras show no such thing) in Britain and elsewhere and the authorities have to face the fact that the very atmosphere we live in is now explosive, sickening and completely unstoppable?

    1. Wow, a lake just appearing out of nowhere?! And they say the water is stagnant. Yeah, that means no oxygen, which means the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that emit hydrogen sulfide will take over that body of water and get to work, if there's any biomatter (trash, dead stuff, shit) or methane around. Radioactive or not, that's not gonna be a safe place to hang out for long. Also...radioactive?! Man, I hope we don't start getting freaking radioactive lakes appearing out of nowhere on a regular basis - we've got plenty enough problems already!

I have tons of questions about that propulsion tech. One question would be: those 1-megawatt transportable nuclear plants that they've designed - could one of those power enough thrust to lift itself off the ground, plus extra weight? If so then I'd recommend building tons of ships and heavily colonize both the Moon and Mars, like immediately. 'Screw you, suddenly-malevolent Earth, we're bailin'!' Heh.

  2. Look at this - another Chinese explosion:

Blast at China car parts plant kills 68, hurts 187

I can almost see us sittin' here gathering stuff like this all day long in the near future!

    1. Dayum, that's the deadliest metal-business explosion/fire so far! And haha, yeah, can picture it:

'I've got a huge underground explosion here, and over here a high-rise fire!'

'Oh yeah? Well, I've got three dead celebrities, a crashed airliner and a collapsed residential building!'

  3. Exactly! It's gonna get serious ugly eventually. The internet may not survive long enough for that though. I guess we'll see.

I gotta go do some mundane, ordinary, daily planet killing stuff. If I come across anything later, "ahl be Bach."

  4. And now a bunch people are without drinking/cooking water in Toledo and parts of Michigan, due to toxic blue-green algae toxins in the water supply. That's why I've been watching those outbreaks all this time - I was thinking that if the environment is changing in favor of those algae, which seems to be the case, then eventually the problem would hit municipal water supplies somewhere. And then what? I have no idea, although apparently bottled water sells out REAL FAST.
