Event Update For 2014-07-11

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2014-07-11 - Burning smell forces passenger plane to make emergency landing on Midway Island:

Quote: "Alarms went off inside a United Airlines plane as a burning smell filled the cabin. The plane, which originated in Honolulu, began losing power and was forced to make an emergency landing over one of the most remote places on earth, a tiny island called Midway."

Quote: "The captain said that the smell was getting very strong in the cockpit and so they were very concerned and as they were getting ready to land. They said their electricity started to go out in the cockpit. And one of the things they had mentioned is the radar sensors that went out when we were getting ready to land..."

Note: Well, at least it didn't go missing this time! Still, there have been plenty enough planes burning and smoking to indicate a clear pattern, and those 'friendly skies' are looking more and more dangerous to me. I'm sure your odds of surviving a plane flight are still good and maybe even excellent depending on how you define the term...but they're also getting worse. The safest plane of all right now might just be an F-35 fighter jet, but only because they're all grounded due to one bursting into flame!

2014-07-11 - Home damaged by explosion and fire in Kansas City (Missouri):

Note: First link shows a burned-out car in the garage where the explosion occurred, so this may have been another parked vehicle exploding...

2014-07-11 - Around 100 golf carts and storage barn destroyed by fire at golf club in Carneys Point (New Jersey):

Note: Carneys Point is located on the eastern (downwind) banks of the Delaware River...

2014-07-11 - Metal business destroyed by fire in Harrison Township (Ohio), nobody there:

Quote: "The cause is under investigation and the fire will remain listed as suspicious, 'being that it was in the evening and nobody was there,' he said, until all other possibilities are ruled out."

Note: They should start by determining whether any gaseous methane or hydrogen sulfide blew into that building. They won't do that though, so their conclusions will be flawed and it's not really even worth wasting the time to listen to what they have to say. Until they recognize the problem they will always be incompetent in terms of doing their job...

2014-07-11 - In separate incidents, waste site and landfill erupt in flame in Calne (Britain):

Note: Arson suspected, same thing fire investigators said when several recycling businesses burned recently in and around Rhode Island. No evidence of arson, of course, as usual. Yeah, like people around the world are suddenly willing to risk prison time to break into trash facilities and burn some trash. In any case, they haven't eliminated accidental causes, like hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with rusty iron/steel and electrified copper. That's basic fire investigation methodology, to eliminate accidental causes before jumping to conclusions. I guess these folks rode the short bus to fire investigator school...

2014-07-11 - Underground fire breaks out in mine near the Mississippi River in Clayton (Iowa):

2014-07-11 - Underground electrical fire hits coastal Manhattan (New York):

Note: Must be from all the salt from salt trucks because of the recent snow *cough cough*. Watch and see, they'll be pulling that excuse out again as soon as there's snow, hoping - perhaps correctly - that people didn't pay any attention to the fact that these underground electrical explosions and fires have been happening all along, snow or no snow...

Quote: "No official word on the cause, however, the manager tells ABC 6 he believes it was intentionally set because he says tires need an accelerant to catch fire."

Note: Yeah, an accelerant like hydrogen sulfide and/or methane blowing through, which doesn't require any human involvement. Any rusty iron/steel near those tires, or electrified copper? I bet there was, but even if not, if the air mix gets volatile enough then the air itself can spontaneously ignite. Lots of tire fires recently, including a massive blaze at another tire recycling facility in Renfrew near coastal Glasgow (Scotland), mentioned in the 2014-07-10 update, and 500 tractor tires also just went up in flame in Cockfield, near Bishop Auckland (Britain), mentioned in the 2014-07-09 update, but there have been a great many other tire fires too, some just humongous...

The rules have changed. The world is not as it once was. Will they catch on before the entire planet is on fire? We'll find out!
