Event Update For 2014-06-25

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Quote: "Kentucky State Police say 35-year-old Billy Tindle, of Hawesville, had a panic attack and blacked out behind the wheel as he was heading east on the Bypass."

Note: As time goes on and the atmospheric contamination worsens, driving is obviously going to be quite a problem. People will be losing consciousness, having 'medical events' or dying while driving, brakes will fail as people drive, and vehicles will be bursting into flame and/or exploding as people drive too. These things are already happening all over but this problem will get much worse. That will cause ripple effects, like hay not getting to destinations to feed horses and cows, food not getting to grocery stores, gas not getting to gas stations, medicines not getting to drug stores, that sort of thing...

You just can't count on staying alive if you...well, do anything, anywhere. That said, you're more likely to drop dead in the wee hours and when near, in or downwind of low-lying areas. There can also be a delayed reaction of minutes, hours, even a few days, between the time you get poisoned and the time you die, so people may not drop dead in the same area where they were poisoned. 1. Here's a few I found today that you might like:

Tiger leaps onto boat, snatches man in east India

KOLKATA, India (AP) — A Bengal tiger snatched a man off a fishing boat in eastern India, dragging him away into a mangrove swamp as his children looked on in horror, the man's son said Friday.

The attack happened Thursday as Sushil Manjhi and his son and daughter were crab fishing in a stream in the Sunderbans National Park. The tiger leaped aboard the boat and clamped its jaws on Manjhi's neck, said Sushil's son, Jyotish.

The tiger "quickly flung my father on his back and gave a giant leap before disappearing into the forest," Jyotish said by telephone from his village of Lahiripur in West Bengal state. He said he and his sister tried to beat the animal with sticks and a knife, but the thrashing had no effect. His father was dragged away and was presumed dead.

Snakes and Bees Are Driving Boko Haram Out of the Forest

Boko Haram militants have fled from deep within the Nigerian forest in the northeast of the country, after incessant snake bites and bee stings became too much for them to bear, according to local media reports.

Two suspected Boko Haram fighters were captured by the Nigerian civilian JTF army after they fled from the Sambisa Forest, in Borno State. The gunmen reportedly said they were being attacked by mystical bees and snakes that had already killed many other insurgents.

“We decided to flee when almost all our comrades are leaving the Sambisa because of constant attacks by snakes and bees, which we were told was as a result of Chibok abducted schoolgirls,” one of the two militants told Nigerian newspaper, the Vanguard.

'We were told that the aggrieved people who had suffered from our deadly mission, including the ghosts of some of those we killed, are the ones turning into the snake and bees.'

Apparently, bees and snakes are feared by Boko Haram fighters, as they are known to cause fatal injuries or make people disappear. It is also believed the bites and stings are in retaliation for the group's civilian kidnappings and killings in the surrounding region.

“We were told that the aggrieved people who had suffered from our deadly mission, including the ghosts of some of those we killed, are the ones turning into the snake and bees,” added another militant.

How about that big fish kill and the man dropping dead at Ambazari Lake?!

One thing to note is that this particular kind of gas death seems almost humane since it's practically instantaneous and just shuts you off, if you get a big enough dose. The prison system and FEMA might wanna look into it . . . .

    1. Aha, you solved a mystery for me! When I was typing the entry for dead guy in Ambazari Lake, I was just SURE I'd just typed that lake's name in the last day, but I searched all through the corpses area and couldn't find it, gave up. Now I see why I didn't find it - it wasn't IN that section, it was in the dying animals section. So yes, how about that, dead fish AND a dead man.

And yeah, being gassed by a lethal gas at least CAN be sort of humane-ish, I guess. They use hydrogen cyanide in gas chambers, same lethality as hydrogen sulfide, and that's probably because it works so fast, if you get enough. But hydrogen sulfide does have a property that hydrogen cyanide doesn't - that 'suspended animation' possibility. So I would bet you there have been people who LOOKED dead - probably mostly children, maybe a few small women and really skinny/small men - who have been buried and then awakened inside a coffin, only to then die of suffocation clawing at the inside of their coffin. And you might just be mind-wiped and leave a violent, dangerous shell of yourself, or you could just suffer from long-term kidney problems and have to be on dialysis until you eventually die. So it's all about the dosage that you get, and there's no way to control that. But yeah, looks like in many or most cases, it's so fast that it's about as humane as a beheading or a bullet to the brain or a heart attack.

    2. Also, thanks for the tiger attack, hadn't seen that. I'd seen the weird Boko story. Boggles my mind that people still believe voodoo-sorcery stuff like that. Does sound like they're in an area where the bees and snakes are getting pissed and attacking, but that's all, ...but that's plenty bad! I'm not one to wish misery on anyone, but they don't sound like the kind of people I'll be shedding any tears for either.
