Event Update For 2014-05-09

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2014-05-09 - Hot air balloon hits power line, bursts into flame and crashes in Doswell (Virginia), people heard screaming, 3 killed:

Quote: "Carrie Hager-Bradley said she saw the balloon in flames on her way home from the grocery store and heard people yelling, according to WWBT television station. 'They were just screaming for anybody to help them,' the station quoted her as saying. '"Help me, help me, sweet Jesus, help. I'm going to die. Oh my God, I'm going to die,"' Hager-Bradley said she heard one person screaming.'"

Note: A hot air balloon exploded and fell near the Nile River near Luxor (Egypt) last year, killing at least 18 people, mentioned in the 2013-02-25 update. I'm not sure the power line had a lot to do with this fire in Virginia. Power lines are obviously heavily insulated, else you'd see flaming dead birds falling from them constantly. The flame on the balloon may have ignited a passing methane and/or hydrogen sulfide plume (probably mostly methane), and the fact that it did so near a power line might have been mere coincidence. We'll never know for sure. I know this: lots of planes have come down smoking and numerous plane engines have been igniting and lots of small planes and helicopters have been crashing and numerous people have been sickening and sometimes dying on planes, so I'm gonna leave the flying to others...

2014-05-09 - Massive mysterious explosion shakes homes and rattles people in Sutherlin (Oregon):

Quote: "Police in Sutherlin say reports came in from all over town, but no source has been found. 'I was on the east end of town and it was a loud explosion type boom that shook my patrol car,' said Sgt. Vaughn Rains of the Sutherlin Police Department. 'It felt like an explosion, and it didn't echo throughout the valley like thunder.'"

Quote: "While some people are speculating it was thunder, some residents reported seeing smoke near the Cooper Creek area."

Note: This town is right next to Cooper Creek Reservoir Park, with a large-ish reservoir there...

2014-05-09 - Spate of car fires in the wee hours hits neighborhood in Toronto (Canada), 10+ cars burn, near Lake Ontario:

Note: Oh no, has the invisible arsonist from Britain come to Canada!? 1. Hey Jonny,

Been following along the past few days but no time to post - trying to get my garden up and running and starting very late this year (due to the endless winter).

You can almost see the encroachment of methane/H2S in coastal towns like Boston (and all around Britain) and in places like Connecticut as the number of incidents creeps steadily higher.

Your lede story was ghastly - uh, can you imagine being on that balloon with no way out?

Another volcano erupting while fish die-offs are getting attention and happening all over the place (like the animals dying in various zoos) and here you are a kid sitting in class somewhere and the substitute has a meltdown in front of everyone.

Seems every day the tension ratchets up from our imploding and exploding environment.

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

    1. I know the feeling on the garden - my tomato plants are now one inch tall, woohoo! Now if only they can last through the squirrels digging holes. Not too fond of squirrels or rabbits these days! If the atmosphere wasn't potentially hostile, I'd sit outside and wait for the little buggers to show up and give them some .22 caliber air rifle pellets to chew on. Heh.
