Event Update For 2014-04-27

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions

2014-04-27 - Auto scrapyard hit by huge blaze in Madison (Wisconsin), scrap cars burn:

2014-04-27 - Metal shop goes up in flames, owner found unresponsive in home nearby, in Mountrail County (North Dakota):

Quote: "Two grain trucks and a combine were among the farm implements lost in a metal shop fire Sunday afternoon in rural Mountrail County near the Ward County border southwest of Kenmare. Initial reports also indicate that the farmer who owns the property was found unresponsive in his home."

Note: So some vehicles and a metal shop ignited and nearby a man found unresponsive. Uh huh, well, hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, no other ignition source necessary, and a metal shop is gonna have some of that. It's also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, and all of the vehicles probably had batteries in them. And finally, it's a deadly gas and will knock people unconscious or dead with as little as one breath. This area is near-ish to Minot, where a number of airmen have been found dead. From the full hypothesis: "Metal-related businesses will be hit hard, including salvage yards and metal recycling centers."

2014-04-27 - Garage explodes and burns just after midnight at home in Villa Park (Illinois), 3 cars destroyed:

2014-04-27 - Ferry boat 'Crown Seaways' damaged by explosion near the island of Anholt (Denmark):

Quote: "The ferry was on the way to Oslo with 960 passengers on board at that time. Passengers were briefly gathered on one of the ferry's deck while firemen examined the damage. The explosion, which occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m., sparked a big bang, and the impact was felt in most parts of the ship. The engines were immediately stopped, and the ferry drifted for half an hour before the journey towards Oslo was resumed."

2014-04-27 - Car bursts into flame at 5 AM while parked on street in Forest Hill (Maryland):

Quote: "The fire was determined to be incendiary in nature..."

Note: Methane and hydrogen sulfide are both highly flammable, e.g. accelerants, so fires involving either or both gases will, of course, be 'incendiary in nature'. That doesn't mean any PEOPLE were involved in setting the fire though. Three police cars went up in flames at a police station in Norwich (Vermont) and they too detected an accelerant had been used, e.g. the fire was 'incendiary'. They assumed arson at first too, then retracted that, presumably because police stations have surveillance video and they saw those vehicles go up in flames on their own. That event was mentioned in the 2012-11-22 update. Cops and fire officials, being apparently completely ignorant of the problem we face, are generally assuming that 'incendiary' means 'arson', when cops themselves have already demonstrated that that's not necessarily the case...

2014-04-27 - Home under construction destroyed by fire after 11 PM in Bellevue neighborhood in Edmonton (Canada):

Note: 'Confirmed' arson. So that means they ruled out accidental causes, or they think they have anyway. Did they rule out hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with rusty iron/steel or electrified copper? Nope, so they can't 'confirm' it as arson, unless they have a witness or a motive or surveillance footage or some forensics and they don't mention any of that. This looks just like all the other buildings under construction that have been going up in flames. From Wiki: "Bellevue is a smaller residential neighbourhood located in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood overlooks the North Saskatchewan River."

  1. Mornin', Jonny - nice collection today! The incidents of things bursting into flame, explosions and people dropping over is completely unreal. I swear man, I just hope it happens quick when it's my turn.

Transformers, electrical substations and other infrastructure goin' up every day - no way we're keepin' up (especially when we got big time twisters in tornado alley now too - oh, and fire season's startin' too damn early ever'where).

China's suffering from their own pollution but also from a massive dust storm.

Sinkholes droppin' outta nowhere swallowin' people, vehicles and buildings - I tell ye, it's enough ta make a man skeert!

Keep up the good work. If I see anything (i'm not in the same league as you for original weird stories) i'll ship it your way.
