Event Update For 2013-10-22

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions

2013-10-22 - Mysterious explosion occurs in wooded area in Molino (Florida), near Harris Bay:
http://www.northescambia.com/2013/10/residents-report-sound-of-explosion-in-molino

Quote: "Emergency personnel were able to determine the explosive sound probably originated in a wooded area between Schaag Road and Highway 95A,  nearly a mile north of Barrineau Park Road. Firefighters were unable to locate any damage to structures in the area, and they were unable to pinpoint the exact cause or location of the explosive sound."

Note: This was likely atmospheric hydrogen sulfide and/or methane exploding out there, which could have been ignited by static electricity or rusty iron/steel. These explosions will get more powerful as the atmospheric contamination intensifies. Some may eventually rival the force of small nuclear blasts like that which destroyed Hiroshima (but minus the radiation). This town is right next door to the Lower Escambia River Water Management Area...

2013-10-22 - Home explodes and burns, adajcent home ignites too, in Pennsboro (West Virginia), 1 killed:

2013-10-22 - House explodes and burns in Tega Cay (South Carolina), near Lake Wylie:

2013-10-22 - Mobile home explodes and burns in Granby (New York):
http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2013/10/firefighters_at_granby_mobile_home_that_reportedly_exploded.html

Quote: "Crews are still on the scene of a mobile home fire in the town of Granby that reportedly began with explosions."

2013-10-22 - Underground fire is what sparked the huge blaze near Lake Macquarie (Australia):
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-10-23/coal-fire/5041086

Quote: "The New South Wales Rural Fire Service says the massive blaze that swept through southern Lake Macquarie last week was sparked by an underground fire, which was virtually impossible to put out. Almost three-thousand hectares of scrub and bushland were burnt out in the firestorm. At least three properties were destroyed, and a man died defending his home at Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast."

Note: This sounds quite similar to an event late last year, where a fire broke out along the edge of Lake Woytchugga (Australia) and firefighters couldn't put it out, unextinguishable, as mentioned in the 2012-12-12 update. Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas so it may seep into the ground and ignite coal or oil or gas beneath the ground if there's any rusty iron/steel in the area. That means that virtually every coal, oil and gas reserve in the world may eventually burn...

2013-10-22 - Recycling facility erupts in flame at 2:18 AM in Brentwood (New York), on Long Island, near the coast:

2013-10-22 - Pilot reports fire in cockpit and smoking engine, passenger plane makes emergency landing in Turks and Caicos Islands:
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=VIV-20131023-41376-TCA
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/10/22/american-airlines-emergency-landing/3157931/
http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/10/22/3705068/miami-bound-american-airlines.html

Quote: "The pilot reported a fire in the cockpit and that the left engine was smoking and dripping fuel."

Note: American Airlines denies there was a fire. Pilot says there was, and he was the one who was there. Also, does the pilot have anything to gain by saying there was a fire if there wasn't? Nope. Does American Airlines have anything to gain by saying there wasn't a fire when there was? Yep. Draw your own conclusions...

2013-10-22 - Yacht 'Afterhours' bursts into flame, burns and sinks, in the Gulf of Mexico in the Florida Keys:
http://keysnews.com/node/50794

2013-10-22 - Twelve vehicles go up in flames in the wee hours in four fires in same general area, in Lakewood (Colorado):
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/two-alarm-fire-burning-on-estes-street-near-colorado-christian-university-in-denver
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_24360445/fire-crews-respond-3-fires-lakewood

Quote: "Krol noted the fires were all within blocks of each other and they all happened within a two-hour period."

Quote: "Investigators were interviewing witnesses all afternoon, but they say at this point nobody saw anyone running from any of the four fire scenes."

Note: That's exactly what you'd expect to see as a good-sized gas plume blows through an area, igniting here and there as it goes. The wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane in the air above closer to the ground...

2013-10-22 - Five vehicles burn while parked at auto dealership in Murfreesboro (Tennessee):

http://www.kcci.com/news/central-iowa/bus-building-fires-considered-suspicious/-/9357080/22557486/-/kf2qedz/-/index.html

Quote: "Love says the bus had been locked since Friday."

Note: A storage building housing tools also burst into flame, separate incident. Obviously they consider the bus fire suspicious since it was locked and hadn't been driven for days. Hydrogen sulfide will get past any lock and it is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, like vehicle wiring, and it's also reactive with rusty iron/steel, which all vehicles have unless they've just rolled off the assembly line...

Quote: "South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it responded to reports of a fire which started in a van and spread to a nearby building. Crews are now damping down ahead of an investigation into the blaze, the fire service said. The van which was on fire is thought to have been parked in a loading bay at Woodside Retail Park on Chesterfield Road."

Note: All vehicles are now randomly-igniting firebombs that can go off at any time, so if you park a vehicle next to something then you shouldn't be surprised if it goes up in flames...

  1. The Delta flight problem for Tuesday, mentions a second Delta flight that had problems (not the AA flight). When I first saw the story tuesday morning, the news was that BOTH planes that had problems ORIGINATED from ATLANTA. Now when I search on the story it says the other plane was in route to atlanta, so not sure which is true. If both planes originated from atlanta than it seems likely to follow your hypothesis. Cant find a story on just the other plane (that returned to the airport it left from). They claim it was a coffee pot 'blaze'.

    1. So I'm not the only one who found those Delta flight stories confusing! I guess the bottom line is, lots of planes are coming down smoking, or with fires (small or large), or with fire alarms 'mistakenly' going off, or with the odor of smoke, or with 'haze' in the belly. And one story at a time, they're trying hard to make things not look alarming. But the TREND - that looks alarming to me!

  2. what is the incidence of these events compared to say 10yrs ago?

    1. Got me. Only been watching these events for about 4 years, and only closely for about 3 years. During that time the escalation has been dramatic, so if you wanted to go back 10 years then I'm sure the escalation would be even MORE dramatic. I don't really care much what happened 10 years ago, personally. That planes and homes and businesses and vehicles are routinely exploding and/or burning and people are smeling 'rotten egg' and 'sulfur' smells and dropping dead NOW is more my concern.

Obviously, this past year has been particularly terrible. Never before had the Inner Harbor in Baltimore suddenly turned milky green-white and smelled of sulfur, with all the fish dying. Never before in human history had a major metropolitan area been told to shelter-in-place because of hydrogen sulfide, but that happened in Kuwait City. And all these 'mystery booms', sometimes with an accompanying 'flash of light', those are a recent phenomenon, at least at the frequency with which they are occurring - last two years.

The British government says that underground electrical fires tripled from 2011 to 2012, and it's obviously gotten worse since then.Insurers for recycling businesses are pulling out because there are too many fires, which only got REALLY bad this year.

And so on. Obvious escalation is obvious. But if you're not convinced, not a problem, because the escalation will continue, and just when you think things can't possibly get any worse...that's when things are going to get waaaaay worse. Reality itself will convince you or it will kill you.

    2. how fast do you think this trend will accelerate?

      Delete
    3. I have no idea. I mean, we ARE trying some stuff, to slow it down. How effective those things are remains to be seen. Traditionally, if you have a methane and hydrogen sulfide problem with, say, a landfill, one tactic used is to surround the landfill with ozone generators and fires. But how can we surround the oceans with ozone generators and fires? They surround US! So that won't work on this scale.

They detected caffeine in the ocean waters off the Pacific Northwest, no reasonable explanation for it to be there. That was shortly after I posted about a science article showing caffeine reacts away hydrogen sulfide. They probably read the same article and gave it a try. No reason NOT to try it. Did it work? How well? I don't know, wish I did.

But this KIND of problem tends to accelerate hyperbolically, the rate of escalation itself increasing, and that's what it's looking like. So that means the escalation is apt to be dramatic. Once those 'mystery booms' start hitting populated areas and wiping out towns, we'll be just about out of time. That's not happening yet, so we've still got a bit of fight left in us, and a bit of time left. I hope that time is being used to create more Plan B habitats, because our time of living on the surface of the Earth is drawing to a close.

      Delete
    4. How would you describe a Plan b habitat?

      Delete
    5. Must be protected from the explosions and fires and poison gas, so such habitats will have to be underground, underwater, or off-planet, Must be capable of supplying breathable atmosphere to the inhabitants, either by filtration or by manufacturing oxygen via electrolysis or whatever. Must be capable of supplying clean water to the inhabitants. Must be capable of supplying energy to the inhabitants. Must have enough manufacturing capability to manufacture parts for the habitat when needed, or some means of trading with other habitats that can. Must be capable of producing food for the inhabitants, or some means of trading with other habitats that grow food. (The more habitats there are, and the bigger they are, the more specialization that is possible.)
