Event Update For 2013-10-09

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2013-10-09 - Mysterious explosion shakes homes in Springfield (Oregon), near the Willamette River:
Quote: "... it was loud enough for many to hear and shook lots of people's houses."
Note: This town is just northeast (downwind) of the Willamette River. There have been many of these mysterious explosions around the world, especially in the last year. These explosions - sometimes accompanied by a 'flash of light' - are very likely atmospheric hydrogen sulfide and/or methane plumes finding an ignition source and detonating. When there's not a lot of gas then these explosions may sound like fireworks or gunfire and are often described as 'popping sounds', heard right before many fires in the last year or so. As the atmospheric contamination proceeds, the size, concentration and number of gas plumes in the atmosphere will be increasing, resulting in more and larger explosions. Eventually these explosions may rival those produced by small thermonuclear weapons like the fission bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, but minus any radiation, unless an explosion destroys a nuclear plant (many of which are on coasts and all of which are near bodies of water for cooling), and then we'd get radiation too...

2013-10-09 - Explosion rocks gas supply company in Shandong (China), 4 killed, 33 injured:

Quote: "Garbage and recycling collection has been canceled until further notice..."

2013-10-09 - Large mulch fire breaks out at landfill in Newton (Massachusetts), near the coast:

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

2013-10-09 - Pallets burst into flame at packing company in Vacaville (California):

Quote: "Smith believes her son would have been killed had the truck been in the garage next to where he slept."

Note: DeSoto is just east (downwind) of Joe Pool Lake. Vehicles are now randomly-igniting firebombs that can go off at any time, so park your vehicle(s) near your residence at your own risk. The wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any flammable hydrogen sulfide or methane in the air above closer to the ground...

Quote: "There was no external injury mark on her body. Doctors immediately could not establish the cause of her death..."

2013-10-09 - Woman in her 40s drops dead at home in Tarreytown (New York):

Note: Police reported a gas leak. Con-Ed measured and found nothing. Again, when people say they 'smell gas' they mean they smell mercaptan which smells like 'rotten eggs', which is added to odorless natural gas so that it has any smell at all. Hydrogen sulfide ALSO smells like 'rotten eggs', at least in low concentrations. (In higher concentrations you may not smell it at all, or it may smell 'flowery' or 'sickly sweet' and if it has any odor at all then your ability to smell it will quickly fade due to olfactory paralysis.)

There were 49 people, including the driver, aboard the bus when it crashed. It was not immediately clear what caused the driver, who has worked for the company for 12 years, to hit the truck."

2013-10-09 - Passenger bus crashes 100 feet down trough in Hoshiarpur (India), at least 14 killed, 40 injured:

Quote: "According to Gill, who reached the spot of the accident, the mini bus fell in a 100 feet deep trough after the brakes of the vehicle failed."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is being absorbed by tire rubber and brake pads. Then when brakes are applied, an unusual amount of heat is generated, since hydrogen sulfide burns very hot. Then bad things can happen: tires explode or ignite, brakes burn out or ignite, fluid lines rupture, the entire vehicle goes up in flames, or all of the above. This problem mainly hits massive vehicles - like buses - but no vehicle is immune. There have been numerous horrifying accidents involving brake failure on massive vehicles, especially in the last few months, and this problem is going to get worse...

2013-10-09 - Mustard gas leaking from weapons storage facility near Pueblo (Colorado):

Note: So, if there's a ban on chemical weapons, why do we even keep this crap around? It costs money and resources to maintain it, it's potentially dangerous to surrounding communities, and if we're not aiming to use mustard gas on anyone - and I hope we're not - then what's the point in having these storage facilities? Turn 'em into weapons eradication facilities and dispose of this stuff once and for all...

2013-10-09 - HazMat event at business near the coast in Indukurpet (India), 30 people fall unconscious, blamed on ammonia:
