Event Update For 2013-10-25

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2013-10-25 - Metal recycling facility hit by fire in Greensboro (North Carolina):
Quote: "Within three minutes, crews were on the scene, but the fire was burning deep inside a 50-foot-high pile of scrap metal, Grayson said. It wasn’t clear Friday what started the fire, which officials said about 9 p.m. was under control. Workers were moving light metals around on the pile when the fire started, officials said. But the fire appeared to be 'very deep' in the pile, Grayson said. He said he believes the fire was accidental."
Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas so it will settle deep into piles. The same scenario has been seen at some of the pallet fires, where the fire ignites deep at the bottom of the pile. It's the same basic cause: hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with rusty iron/steel (the nails and screws in pallets)...
2013-10-25 - Metal business damaged by explosion and fire in Chattanooga (Tennessee) several people injured:
Quote: "Crews responded to a fire and explosion at Designed Alloy Products on Alton Park Boulevard around 7:30 a.m. Friday."
Note: From the full hypothesis: "Metal-related businesses will be hit hard, including salvage yards and metal recycling centers." Over and over, fires are breaking out at metal-related facilities, exactly as predicted. We're nowhere near out of rusty iron/steel though, so there will be plenty more metal-related fires like these. Some of the parked vehicles going up in flames are probably caused by hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with rusty iron/steel too, though I suspect the bulk of those fires are caused by hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with copper, especially electrified copper...

Quote: "Boller said the driver indicated the brakes on the bus had failed."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is being absorbed by tire rubber and brake pads. Then when brakes are applied, an unusual amount of heat is generated, because hydrogen sulfide burns very hot. Then bad things can happen: tires explode or ignite, brakes burn out or ignite, fluid lines rupture, the entire vehicle goes up in flames, or all of the above. This problem hits massive vehicles the worst - like buses, tanker trucks, tractor trailers, dump trucks, big RVs, etc - but no vehicle is immune. Bottom line: you shouldn't count on your brakes working when you need them to work...

Quote: "The rock face, about three meters high and two kilometers long, raised fears among villagers that more cracks would appear on the ground and swallow them up."

Note: Well, a sinkhole did open up and swallow a guy in his sleep in Florida, so that's not really an unreasonable fear for these folks near this new feature...
