Event Update For 2018-09-24

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2018-09-24 - Unknown foul odor hits coastal Channelview (Texas):
http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/LyondellBasell-says-it-isn-t-source-of-odor-in-13256921.php

Quote: "Officials at a Channelview chemical plant say it isn't the source of an odor in the area after several residents pointed to the company as a potential culprit. The company, LyondellBasell, started air monitoring procedures at 12:30 a.m. and found that air quality was within regulatory and safety standards, said Meredith Matthews, spokeswoman for the U.S. Gulf Coast Region. 'The odor is not associated with our site,” Matthews said in a statement. 'We continue to work with the proper external authorities to help them in determining the cause.' Some residents began reporting the smell on Monday night. Twitter user @stina_marie333 said early Tuesday morning, 'Anybody in #Channelview smelling a terrible, nearly unbearable smell?' Another Twitter user identified as Ruby Gutierrez Ayala, @rugutuzayala, described the odor. 'Channelview smells like it's going to explode,' she tweeted."

Note: Explode? So it must have been a rotten egg odor that people smelled, like the odorant added to natural gas, or like hydrogen sulfide blowing in off the Gulf of Mexico right there...

2018-09-24 - Southern Ocean around Antarctica warming at an alarming rate:
http://insideclimatenews.org/news/23092018/antarctica-warming-southern-ocean-human-greenhouse-gas-ozone-ice-loss-study

Quote: "The Southern Ocean around Antarctica is warming at an alarming rate—twice that of the rest of the world's oceans. Now, researchers have developed more powerful evidence pointing to the human causes. Though warming had been observed in the past, there was little historical data to allow scientists to pinpoint the causes with much certainty. In a new study, researchers used climate models, the past observations that did exist and data flowing in from new ocean-going sensors to show how greenhouse gas emissions and the depletion of ozone in the atmosphere have led to both a warming of the Southern Ocean and an increase in its freshwater content. The findings also rule out natural variability as a major source of those changes."

  1. Good morning Jonny, everyone. Lots to give one pause in today's report. Take for example the people who were standing around when a sinkhole opened up and they dropped to their deaths instantly. That could be any of us at any time. Being in a building isn't any deterrent, as we've seen a guy sleeping in bed (in Florida) was never seen again as a sinkhole ate part of his house - the part with his bedroom - and he disappeared.

But you don't even need a sinkhole to frighten you now. Hydrogen sulfide can kill you instantly at any time (see today's post above, for numerous examples without explanation).

Let's see what's going on today.

Crack in beam shuts down San Francisco's new $2B terminal
    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/crack-in-beam-shuts-down-san-franciscos-new-dollar2b-terminal/ar-AAAEcRX

San Francisco officials shut down the city's celebrated new $2.2 billion transit terminal Tuesday after discovering a crack in a support beam under the center's public roof garden.

It sits adjacent to another dubious landmark, the so-called sinking condominium, Millennium Tower, which has settled about 18 inches (45 centimeters) since it opened over a former landfill in 2009. Homeowners have filed multiple lawsuits against the developer and the city, some alleging that construction of the transit center caused the Millennium Tower's sinking.

Zabaneh said he did not believe that the cracked beam was related to ongoing problems at Millennium Tower. [more]

I did not know this, but it turns out that the month with the most market volatility since the Dow was first established has been the month of October…

In a stunning vote of "no confidence" in the US monopoly over global payment infrastructure, one month ago Germany's foreign minister Heiko Maas called for the creation of a new payments system independent of the US that would allow Brussels to be independent in its financial operations from Washington and as a means of rescuing the nuclear deal between Iran and the west. Research on plant intelligence may forever change how you think about plants
    https://www.sott.net/article/396884-Research-on-plant-intelligence-may-forever-change-how-you-think-about-plants

Michael Pollan, author of such books as "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "The Botany of Desire," wrote the New Yorker piece about the developments in plant science. He says for the longest time, even mentioning the idea that plants could be intelligent was a quick way to being labeled "a whacko." But no more, which might be comforting to people who have long talked to their plants or played music for them.

Pollan says plants have all the same senses as humans, and then some. In addition to hearing, taste, for example, they can sense gravity, the presence of water, or even feel that an obstruction is in the way of its roots, before coming into contact with it. Plant roots will shift direction, he says, to avoid obstacles. [more]

  5. Naw, they were deceptive but the article does mention colder summers:

"Healthy green moss has turned red or grey, indicating that plants are under stress and dying. This is due to the area drying because of colder summers and stronger winds."

They were deceptive in that they're cherry-picking. The summers are only colder in EAST Antarctica. Antarctica as a whole has lost 3 trillion tons of ice, because ice loss in WEST Antarctica has been huge and rapidly increasing, and the Southern Ocean is warming.

    https://www.iflscience.com/environment/antarctica-has-lost-3-trillion-tonnes-of-ice-in-25-years-time-is-running-out-for-the-frozen-continent/all/

They simply neglected to mention the fact that Antarctica as a whole is rapidly melting, despite the fact that so far East Antarctica isn't doing so bad when taken in isolation from the whole, other than the ozone depletion killing off the moss. Antarctica losing 3 trillion tons of ice in the last 25 years seems like a pretty important fact to leave out - that's the deception. Sleight-of-hand stuff - look here but definitely do not look THERE.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Also, I think the deception - leaving out that important part of the picture - was inadvertent on the part of the original article's authors. They're just focused on their particular area, doing the science, etc. But they should have foreseen that the cherry-pickers would come along and use their science to advance their agenda, because that happens all the time.

  7. Ok, ONE sentence (hey, so sue me, aight?!).

Taking into consideration that the moss is a member of an extremophile plant group - living in very harsh conditions (especially WINTER there) - it's unlikely that summers get all that cold, so it seems like their drying up is a matter more of lack of precipitation than anything else. Moss likes damp conditions - not windy and dry. If the summer season doesn't warm up enough to produce any melt or precipitation, or because it's becoming shorter in duration than they're used to, I can see THAT as being a cause.

"Antarctic mosses are extremophiles, the only plants that can survive the continent’s frigid winters. They live in a frozen desert where life-sustaining water is mostly locked up as ice, and they grow at a glacial pace – typically just 1 mm a year.

These mosses are home to tardigrades and other organisms, all of which survive harsh conditions by drying out and becoming dormant. When meltwater is available, mosses soak it up like a sponge and spring back to life."

I see your point, and I think mine is still valid - they're pushing their 'global cooling' agenda by misstating the title.

Notice the hopium filled conclusion - you know, IF WE do "something" maybe they'll survive. Like it's up to HUMANITY, the species with the worst track record on the planet for fucking shit up and destroying everything it touches. R i i i i ght.

Hundreds of sandpipers in 'collective suicide' at Ecuadorian high-altitude lakes
    https://www.sott.net/article/396932-Hundreds-of-sandpipers-in-collective-suicide-at-Ecuadorian-high-altitude-lakes

Every year in the high-altitude lake area of Ozogoche, in eastern Ecuador, hundreds of upland sandpipers (known in Spanish as cuvivíes ) fall dead in the months of September and October. Many theories have hoped to explain this bizarre occurrence in the Andean province of Chimborazo but it's not yet clear why these small greyish birds throw themselves into the freezing cold water of the lakes that are considered sacred by the local indigenous community.

"This happens every year, so it's a bit hard to prove that the birds are sick and die this way,"

Another theory says that the sulfuric steam from volcanic lakes is intoxicating the birds, however, no other local species appear to suffer from this. Although she hasn't been able to prove any of the theories, Santander believes the weather has something to do with the mysterious actions of the birds. "We consider that, because of the weather of the place, the strong winds make the birds fall into the lake and they receive a thermal shock that causes their death."
[i doubt it, since the CAN fly]

There are so many dead birds by the end that the locals have started incorporating them into their diet.

Miguel Marcatoma, a villager that attends the celebrations every year, told AP. Raúl Tenesaca, the local shaman, is the one who leads the purification ritual to honour the birds.

For him, the birds sacrifice themselves "for the life of the people who live here, in the coldest altitudes of this place". [more; yeah, right - it's all about the fucking humans, geez . ..]

  8. Oh yeah, they're pushing the global cooling agenda. No idea why. I mean, c'mon, it's not global cooling that destroyed so much ice in the Arctic that a container ship was able to sail through for the first time in human history. It's not global cooling making Greenland lose a billion tons of ice PER DAY. It's not global cooling that's made Antarctica lose 3 trillion tons of ice in the last 25 years. It's not global cooling that's making the oceans so much hotter, with record ocean temps set off California this year. You can see it with your own two eyes, looking at the ice in the Arctic ebb and flow year-by-year in animations. The 'ebbing' is intensifying as the ice disappears.

So, it's a crazy position to take. You have to ignore pretty much everything - measurements, observations, your own eyes, reason. I can picture their homes bursting into flame during summer and them fleeing into 120F temps screaming, 'Global cooling!'
